Overview
Overview
The DCU-8000 Device Control Unit Pack can be
connected to the center control panel of a MVS-8000 Multi
Format Switcher system to output tally signals to input
devices and to interface with VTRs and other external
devices.
The DCU-8000 is a generic name of the device control unit
having option installed in it.
Features
Expandable up to 270 tally output
connections
Up to five optional expansion boards can be installed in the
unit. Installation of five boards provides 270 tally output
connections. Tally data output from the connection points
can be programmed according to the destination devices,
enabling the construction of complex tally systems for
large scale-systems.
Interfaces for numerous external devices
External devices such as VTRs and DDRs can be
connected and controlled from the center control panel of
the MVS-8000 system. Installation of five option boards
makes interfaces to a maximum of 30 external devices
available.
Backup power supply units can be
installed
Two power supply units are installed for redundant power,
reducing the risk of power trouble and increasing the
reliability of live systems.
