1. Safety information
Intended use also

The shelf construction or
table construction can be damaged if it tips over
or is unstable!
Risk of severe injuries!

Do not use improperly as a support.

Do not climb on the construction.

Do not stand on the construction.

Do not climb on or sit on the shelves.

Do not exceed the maximum shelf limit.
Injury and damage due to falling objects!

Do not keep objects that are too heavy on the shelves or fasten them on the
frame construction. Pay attention to the maximum load capacity per shelf.

Only put objects on the intended placement surfaces.

Mount accessories properly as described in the assembly directions.

Pay attention to the maximum load capacity.

Take the cleaning and care instructions into account.
For safety reasons, counterweights are also installed in the Base Plate in some

3. Intended use
Flex Active Frames are designed exclusively as furniture for commercial use (e.g. offices) and for use in
publically accessible interior spaces (e.g. cultural and educational facilities). Any other use, or use beyond
the specified intended use is considered improper use. Improper use of the product may result in dangers to
life and limb, as well as material damage. For this reason, improper use is prohibited. In the event of
improper use, Steelcase assumes no liability for any damage that may occur and does not guarantee that
the components will function properly.
Possible improper use includes:
Placement surface for objects with a total weight greater than the permissible load capacity per shelf

4. Product description
Flex Active Frames are highly flexible and multifunctional solutions that provide space, storage space for
teams and individuals, which support dynamic collaboration and can be equipped to meet individual needs.
Flex Active Frames are available in these three variants:

5. Use
The Flex Active Frames may only be used in a technically faultless condition and in compliance with the
Quick Reference Guide.
Before using the Flex Active Frames, ensure the following:
The product has been assembled in accordance with the accompanying assembly directions.
Flex Active Frames accessories can be placed on the shelves or frame units.

If the purchased configuration is changed on its own authority, the following counterweight rules must be

7. Transport and assembly
Check the delivery contents:
After unpacking, check the Flex Active Frames units immediately for damage sustained during transport
and for completeness; inform the manufacturer of any damage as soon as possible.
Assembling Flex Active Frames:
Please follow the provided assembly directions for assembly of the shelves or bridges.
Assembly of the
Frame Active Frames always starts with a Base Unit followed by Extension Units.
The accessories are mounted in this sequence:
1. Coat Rod, 2. Fixed Board, 3. Infill Panel and Center Panel, 4. Flap Door, 5. Mobile
Board Clips and
Cable Clips, 6. Bookend and ToolBox
The mounting and removal of the Flex Active Frames accessories are described in the assembly

Cleaning and care:
At regular intervals clean dust and grime off of the surfaces with a damp cloth or mild cleaning agent.
Clean grime off of fabric surfaces (e.g. for the Pinboard) with a suitable cleaning brush.
Disposal:
Dismantling should be carried out by skilled and qualified personnel only. If you want to dismantle and
dispose of the Flex Active Frames permanently, proceed as follows:
Dismantle the Flex Active Frames units.
Separate the resulting parts into: reusable components and the material groups to be disposed of
(wood, metal, plastic, electrical parts, etc.).

9. Service and contact details
Delivery, installation and instruction

Flex Active Framessind ausschließlich als Möbel für den gewerblichen Einsatzbereich (z. B. Büros) und für
öffentlich zugängliche Innenräume (z. B. Kultur- und Bildungswesen) konzipiert. Eine andere oder
darüberhinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Bei bestimmungswidriger Verwendung
des Produktes können sowohl Gefahren für Leib und Leben als auch Sachbeschädigungen auftreten. Aus
diesem Grunde ist eine bestimmungswidrige Verwendung untersagt. Bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßer
Verwendung übernimmt Steelcase keine Haftung für eventuell auftretende Schäden und keine Garantie für
einwandfreies und funktionsgemäßes Arbeiten der Komponenten.

Flex Active Framesist eine hochflexible und multifunktionale Lösung, die Platz schafft, Stauraum für
Teams und Einzelpersonen bietet, die dynamische Zusammenarbeit unterstützt und entsprechend den

5. Benutzung
Die Flex Active Frames Elemente dürfen nur in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand und unter Beachtung der
Kurzanleitung benutzt werden.
Bevor Sie Flex Active Frames nutzen, stellen Sie Folgendes sicher:
Das Produkt wurde gemäß der beiliegenden Montageanleitung montiert.
Flex Active Frames Zubehör sind auf den Fachböden oder Rahmenelemente platzierbar.

Wenn die gekaufte Konfiguration eigenmächtig geändert wird, müssen die folgenden Gegengewichtsregeln

7. Transport und Montage
Lieferung prüfen:
Nach dem Auspacken sind die Flex Active Frames Elemente sofort auf Transportschäden und auf
Vollständigkeit zu überprüfen und ggf. ein Schaden dem Hersteller schnellstmöglich zu melden.
Flex Active Frames montieren:
Für die Montage der Regale oder Tische beachten Sie bitte die beigefügte Montageanleitung.
Die Montage der
Frame Active Frames beginnt immer mit einem Basis-Element gefolgt von
Erweiterungs

Die Montage

Reinigung und Pflege:
In regelmäßigen Abständen die Oberflächen von Staub und Schmutz befreien, mit einem feuchten Tuch
oder milden Reinigungsmittel.
Stoffoberflächen (z. B. beim Pinboard) mit einer geeigneten Reinigungsbürste von Schmutz befreien.
Entsorgung:
Die Demontage soll von hierzu qualifiziertem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden. Sollen Flex Active
Frames endgültig demontiert und entsorgt werden, gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:
Demontieren Sie die Flex Active FramesElemente.
Trennen Sie die entstehenden Teile nach: wiederverwendbaren Bauteilen und zu entsorgenden
Materialgruppen (Holz, Metall, Kunststoff, usw.).
und sorgen Sie für die Rückführung in den Wertstoffkreislauf. Beachten Sie alle diesbezüglich geltenden
regionalen Vorschriften. Beachten Sie für die Demontage auch die separate Demontage- /
Recyclinganleitung.
9. Service und Kontaktdaten
Lieferung, Aufstellung, Einweisung
Flex Active Frames werden in der Regel vom Hersteller oder vom Fachhandel angeliefert, montiert und
eingerichtet. Die Benutzer werden durch den Hersteller bzw. durch den Fachhändler in die Bedienung
eingewiesen.
Reparaturen und Ersatzteile
Originalersatzteile und Zubehör erhalten Sie über den Hersteller. Sollten aufgetretene Fehler oder Störungen
nicht behoben werden können, wenden Sie sich bitte an den Kundendienst:

L’autocollant du produit se trouve sur l’une des
faces intérieures de la plaque de base.

Pour accéder à la face intérieure, détacher l’étagère du bas et éventuellement également les
contrepoids en les soulevant.

Flex Active Frames sont exclusivement conçus comme meubles destinés à un usage professionnel (par ex.
bureaux) et aux locaux intérieurs publics (par ex. culture et éducation). Toute autre utilisation est réputée

Flex Active Frames est une solution multifonctionnelle extrêmement flexible, qui crée de la place, de
l’espace de rangement pour les équipes ou les personnes seules, qui favorise une collaboration dynamique
et permet un équipement selon les besoins individuels.
