1. Remove both lateral file drawers.
 a. Pull bottom drawer all the way out
 b. Disconnect from suspension
  as shown in sketch
c. Remove drawer by lifting up and out as shown
d. Repeat with upper drawer

2. Remove veneer or laminate top (when required)
 by removing five (5) screws.

3. Remove push nut at rear
of lock cam pin.

4. Remove two (2) lock bars.
 a. Push in locking tab on rear lock bar.
 b. Pull rearward off lock pin.
 c. Slide lock bar in direction shown (to the left).
 d. Repeat for opposite lock bar.

5. Remove trim assembly from file cabinet:
 a. Remove the four (4) screws holding the
  file lock trim assembly to the cabinet.
 b. Pull the trim assembly upward and away
  from the cabinet.
 NOTE: Push nut and (4) screws come in a
 plastic bag. (The spring still comes to the
 customer attached to lock trim assy.) The
 (2) lock bars are to be taped to the face of
 the lock trim assy.

6. Place new trim assembly in same position
 as removed assembly.
7. Assemble to cabinet with four (4) screws.

8. Install two (2) lock bars as shown:
 RH shown-LH opposite
 a. Insert outside ends into vertical lock
  bar uprights as shown (it may be
  necessary to raise lock upright slightly).
9. Install ends of lock bars over lock cam pin
 (note position of slots in lock bars).
 a. Install push nut-approximately 1/4" from end of pin.
 b. Bend locking tabs in lock bars to original position.
 c. Cycle lock to insure proper locking action.
10. Re-install top (reverse of step 2).
11. Re-install file drawers (reverse of step 1c and 1d).
