How do I clean the Soft Touch® heating pad?
DO NOT DRY CLEAN YOUR PAD! DO NOT USE BLEACH! DO NOT USE A WRINGER! To clean,
follow the directions below: Unplug from wall outlet. Make sure the control is OFF. Disconnect
the pad connector by holding control connector and pulling straight out from the pad. Machine-
wash the pad in warm water on gentle cycle; tumble dry on medium heat. Remove from the
dryer. The pad can also be hand-washed in warm water and line dried. DO NOT plug in the pad
until it is completely dry.
How do I use my Soft Touch® or Heat Sense™ pad for moist heat?
Dampen one side of the pad with water by patting the surface with a wet sponge or wet cloth.
If preferred, use spray bottle to spray a fine mist of water on one side of the pad surface. DO
NOT immerse pad in water or place under running water to dampen surface. DO NOT spray
water on the pad connector.
How long do the gel packs retain their temperature?
They will remain cool or hot for approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on variables
such as air temperature.
How can I help to preserve my heating pad?
To help preserve your heating pad, please follow the guidelines below:
Avoid using pins or other metallic means to fasten this pad in place.
Do not sit on or crush pad.
Avoid sharp folds as damage to the wires could occur.
Never pull the pad by the power supply cord or use the cord as the handle.
What should I do if the light on my "Auto-Off" heating pad is blinking and the unit is not
getting hot?
If you have used the pad for longer than 2 hours, the Auto-Off function has been activated.
Reset the pad by unplugging it from the wall for 30 seconds.

Heat Wraps

Can I use any type of batteries in the Heat to Go® charger and controller?
No. Only use good quality, rechargeable NiMH (AA) batteries in the controller and charger. Do
not mix old and new batteries.
How does heat therapy help relieve muscular pain?
The Heat to Go® Wraps help relieve muscular pain by bringing gentle heat to the affected area.
This increases blood flow, causing muscles to relax and healing to happen faster.
How long does it take for the Heat to Go™ Wraps to warm up?
It only takes a few minutes for the Heat to Go™ Wraps to provide optimum heat. Heat may vary
depending on fit.
Should I wear the Heat to Go® Wraps on top of my clothes or underneath my clothes?
For optimal results, wrap should be worn against your skin and comfortably tightened. Do not
over tighten and check skin frequently if you feel any discomfort.
What can I do if the product feels too hot for me?
If the product feels too hot for you, remove the Wrap and lower the heat level. If it still feels
uncomfortably warm, discontinue use.
What is the heat technology in the Heat to Go® Wraps?
The Heat to Go® Wraps use a technology similar to classic heating pads but is battery powered
(use 4 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries). The wraps provide gentle and soft heat for maximum
therapeutic benefits that lasts for up to 4 hours.
What material are Wraps made of?
The Wraps are made of Polyester and reinforced with Neoprene fabric, which is a moisture
wicking material that absorbs sweat to help keep you dry and comfortable. Neoprene fabric
stretches for a form-fit, so it moves when you move.

Can I use the Heat to Go® Wraps while exercising?
Yes.
Can I use the Heat to Go® Wraps with medicated rubs/creams/ointments or topical
antibiotics?
No. Do not use the Wraps on an area of the skin where medicated rubs, creams, ointments or
topical antibiotics have been applied.

Can young children wear the Heat to GO® Wraps?
We do not recommend the use of the Heat to Go Wraps for children without close supervision.

No. The Heat to Go® Wraps do not contain latex.
For how long should I wear the Heat to Go® Wraps?
The Heat to Go® Wraps are designed to provide up to 4 hours of heat on one charge (heat time
is between 1.5 hours on HIGH and 4 hours on WARM). Consult your physician for the
appropriate heat therapy time for you. If you have any pre-existing conditions or any health
related questions, please consult the Important Safety Instructions on the instruction manual.
How do I put the Wraps on?
The Wraps are very flexible and easy to use. If you have any questions regarding how to apply
them, please consult your instruction manual or contact us via email.

Tips on how to use your heating pad properly:
Before you use the pad, carefully examine inner cover before each use. Discard the pad
if inner covering shows any sign of deterioration. Make sure that you always use the pad with

the cover properly in place - do not use the pad without the cover. Do not use in oxygen
atmosphere. This applies to all oxygen enriched environments. Use the pad only on a 110-120
volt AC circuit. Unplug when not in use. Do not use your heating pad with liniment, salve or
ointment preparations that contain heat-producing ingredients. Skin burns could result.
What should I do if my Heat Plus Gel heating pad is not heating up fast enough?
You should do the following: Turn the switch on. Fold the pad in half, gel sides in, for about 10
minutes. It may take a few minutes for the HEAT PLUS GEL to reach its optimal temperature.
Remember DO NOT use the heating pad folded or without the cloth cover.
When to use your Sunbeam® Health at Home® Heating Pad:
Use your heating pad wherever hot applications are desirable for personal comfort, and
whenever recommended by your physician or physical therapist for the relief of pain. Great for
easing chronic arthritis pain and when treating muscle and joint injuries.
How hot do the heating pads get?
The surface temperature on all our resistance heating pads, except Soft Touch®, is a maximum
of 135°F - 140°F. If you use one of our Soft Touch® or HeatSenseTM heating pads, you may
choose a temperature from the following settings: Lo: 110°F Medium: 138°F Hi: 160°F Health at
Home heating pads are engineered to never exceed 176°F, the temperature limit set by
Underwriters Laboratory.
How long does the heating pad take to heat up?
On average, the heating pad takes 9 minutes to heat up. Heating pads with self-limiting wire
technologies may take longer to heat up.
