Safety instructions

Attention! Mounting, installation, commissioning and repair of electronic devices have
to be carried out only by a qualified electrician. The standards for the prevention of
accidents must be observed.
When working in systems with mains connection 230 V AC, the safety regulations accord-
ing to DIN VDE 0100 must be observed.
When installing TCS:BUS® systems, the general safety regulations for telecommunication
systems according to VDE0800 must be observed.

Intended use
PVU14x0-0010 are complete, pre-configured video door communication systems, color.
Every bell button is allocated to an video indoor station.
Particularly suitable for one-family and multi-family homes with 1 up to 4 flats.

Short description
PVUI14x0-0010 consist of three TCS package components:
one video front-door station color for customised installation (flush-mount or cavity wall),
video indoor station(s), color and one power supply and control unit.

Installation
Note when unpacking
On the packaging of the indoor stations are number tags (1...4).
!
When installing the video indoor station, please mind the numbers (1...4) for the cor-
rect allocation to the bell buttons of the front-door station.
Connect the lines
Connect the package component according to the system example PVU1420-0010.

Use the enclosed small screwdriver to connect the lines and to prevent damaging the
device.
!
When additional video indoor stations (e.g. connected in parallel) are installed, the
maximum permitted number may not be exceeded.

Commissioning
!
First install the system completely, then connect it to the main voltage!
Install the devices of the system completely.
V1 and V2 must not be connected with P-, a- or b-wire.
When connecting the video wires V1 (+) and V2 (-), please observe the polarity.
Check a-, b- and P-wire against each other for short circuits.
Switch ON the mains voltage.

Video indoor stations IVW2211
The video indoor station IVW2211 labelled with "1" is set ex works as end device. Please
mind that this video indoor station is to be placed at the end of a strand.

Programming bell buttons
The video indoor stations are allocated to the bell buttons ex work. No programming is
necessary.

Information on disposal
The adjoining symbol shows that the device has to be disposed separately from
domestic waste. The materials used are recyclable. Please do help protecting our
environment and dispose the device via a collecting point for electronic scrap.
Dis- pose the parts of the packaging in collecting tanks for cardboard and
paper resp. plastics.
Warranty
We offer a simplified processing in case of warranty for electrician.
TCS offers an extended warranty period to three years. Please observe the enclosed
form!
