Indication and operating elementsLED indication
A ring tone signals an inco-
ming call.
The green LED is on.
Speaking
Shortly press the speech
button to accept the call
or longer than 1 second to
switch-over to simplex com-
munication during an active
voice connection.
The green LED is on.
Shortly press the speech
button again or the door
release button to end the
conversation (the call is ter-
minated after 4 seconds).
Automatic call cut-off after
2 minutes.

With the contoller at the bottom of the device, the ring tone volume
can be adjusted continuously.
Setting the ring tone volume

Ring tones can be adju-
sted for four different call
types.
Thus, it is possilbe to
distinguish calls from
two different front-door
stations, a fl oor call or an
internal call.
You can choose between
13 different ring tones.
Proceed as follows:
1. Activate the ring tone
selection
End an eventually exisitng
conversation. Press the call
OFF-button for at least 8
seconds.
An acknowledgement
tone sounds.
2. Select a door ring tone
a... from the (fi rst)
front-door station
Press the door release
button until the desired
ring tone sounds.
The ring tone selected last
will be stored.
b ... from the second
front-door station*
Press the speech button
until the desired ring
tone sounds. The ring tone
selected last will be stored.
* If no seperate ring tone is selected, the
ring tone of the fi rst front-door station is
stored automatically.

Press the light switch button
until the desired ring
tone sounds. The ring tone
selected last will be stored.

3. Deactivate the ring tone
selection
To end the ring tone selec-
tion shortly press the call
OFF button once.
When no button is pressed
within the next 8 seconds,
the device ends the ring
tone selection automatically.
The ring tone selection ends
with an acoustic signal.

The following functions
can be confi gured on
your video indoor station
and for the use of further
indoor stations. Please
contact your qualifi ed
electrician.
Call an indoor station
(internal call)*
To call another indoor
station, press the function
key . A short acknow-
ledgement tone sounds if
the call has reached its call
destination. When the called
device accepts the call a
voice connection is establis-
hed. If required, the volume
of the voice connection can
be adjusted from a qualifi ed
electrician.
* max. 1 call destination
Door release automatic
An incoming door call
directly triggers the opening
of the door if this function is
activated. Press the function
key

If the fl oor door call at the
fl oor door is triggered, the

tone sounds at both devices.
Call diversion
The incomning call is di-
verted to a second indoor
station. Press the function

Cleaning
Clean the indoor station
with a dry or slightly wet
cloth. Remove stronger
stains with a PH-neutral
detergent.
Avoid water from entering
the device! Do not use any
abrasive detergents!

The following functions can be programmed
(see page 9 - 11):
• specifi c door call / door release
• specifi c internal calls
• sensor functions / status indications
• activate / deactivate call diversion
• switching without feedback
• switching with feedback

One front-door station can be allocated to each button of the comfort keypad.
In case of an incoming door call from the fi rst front-door station:
• The LED next to the function key blinks and a ring tone sounds (one time).
Speaking:
• Press the speech button, the call (the last call, if several calls come in in quick succession)
is accepted and a voice connection is established.
Specifi c door calls:
• By pressing the function key of the allocated front-door station, a voice connection is
established.
• The LED is on.
Door release:
• Press the blue door release button during the voice connection.
• Pressing the function key of the allocated front-door station triggers the specifi c door
release.
• The LED expires.
End the call:
• Press the speech button, the call OFF-button or the door release button (the call ends
after 4 seconds or automatically after 2 minutes).
• The LED expires.
Toggle:
• Press the speech button after an incoming call.
• Then press the function key with which you can select the second front-door station.
• The connection with the front-door station which called last is disconnected and a voice
connection to the second front-door station is established. The LED next to the function
key is now on permanently.

Specifi c internal calls Each function key of the comfort keypad can be programmed for any indoor station as
destination device for the internal calling.
In case of an incoming call:
• The LED next to the function key blinks slowly.
Speaking:
• Press the speech button, a voice connection to the calling indoor station is established.
• The LED is on permanently.
End the call:
• Press the speech button, the call OFF-button or the door release button (the call ends
after 4 seconds or automatically after 2 minutes).
• The LED expires.
In case of another incoming internal call:
• If there is a second call from an indoor station during a voice connection or after an
incoming call from an indoor station, also the LED next to the function key blinks, to
which the function internal call of another indoor station was programmed.
• A voice connection to this indoor station can be established also up to 2 minutes after
the call came in (as long as the LED blinks).
Call an indoor station internally:
• Press the function key, which is allocated to the second indoor station.
• The LED blinks fast.
• If the call is accepted at the called indoor station, a voice connection is established.

Each function key of the comfort keypad can be programmed so that the belonging
LED indicates the contact state of a detector (an attention tone sounds).
• Additionally, an allocated function can be triggered by pressing the button next to the
LED.
• The LED expires if the indicated status ends, an attention tone sounds.
Each function key of the comfort keypad can be programmed so that incoming door
calls are diverted to any indoor station.
• Activate: press the function key, the LED is on.
• Deactivate: press the function key again, the LED expires.
Pressing a function key of the comfort keypad sends a control function. The LED next
to the function key is not activated.
• Press the function key.
• A control function is sent; this one can be allocated to different functions within the
system (button 1: control function 11 .... button 10: control function 20).
Pressing a function key of the comfort keypad sends alternaltive two control functions
(On/Off). The LED next to the function key is activated resp. deactivated.
• Press the function key, the LED expires.
• A control function is send (button 1: control function 11 to button 10: control function
20).
• Press the function key again, the LED expires. Another control function is send
(button 1: control function 41 .... button 10: control function 50).
When pressing the function key no signal is send (delivery state).

Labeling the function keys 1 - 10
There is an embedded black cover with a little slot on the right side located at the
underside of the device near the labeling fi eld.
Please insert the enclosed opening tool (small metal angle) into the slot and softly
press the tool upwards to loosen the name plate cover from the housing. Pull the labe-
ling cover downwards from the housing together with the labeling carrier.
The labeling stripe can be easily removed, the programmed button functions can be
entered.
Insert the complete labeling carrier back into the guidance rail until the cover is locked
into place by a magnetic holder.
