WALL SURFACE EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT

SAFETY:
• Installaon of this luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician or
competent person to the current IEE Wiring Regulaons (BS7671)
• Please isolate mains prior to installaon/maintenance
• Check the total load on the circuit, including when this luminaire is fied, does not
exceed the rang of the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker
• Please note the IP (Ingress of Protecon) rang of this luminaire when deciding the
locaon for Installaon
• This product is Class II double insulated
• This product is non-dimmable

INSTALLATION:
• Provide power to the required point of installaon
• Remove the top cover as shown below in the image
• Using the top cover as a template, mark the locaon for, and drill 2 fixing holes
ensuring not to infringe with any joists, gas or water pipes or electrical cables.
• Feed the mains cable through the cable entry hole in the top cover.
• Connect mains cable into push-fit terminal block ensuring correct polarity is observed,
see the following figures for maintained, non-maintained and switched maintained
wiring diagram.
• Connect flying lead from baery pack to the socket on the PCB.
• Refit the exit sign to the top cover ensuring all 4 lugs lock into place.
• Switch on the power supply and ensure green LED indicator is illuminated

WARNING:
• This product must be disconnected from the circuit if subjected to any high voltage or
insulaon resistance tesng. Irreparable damage will occur if this instrucon is not
followed
• Recommended roune test procedure in accordance with BS5266
• Daily check – check that the status GREEN LED indicator is illuminated
• Monthly funconal test – simulate a mains supply failure for approx. 30 secs by
operaon of key switch or switching off a circuit breaker. Ensure normal supply is
restored aer test and the indicator status LED is illuminated
• Twice yearly conduct a one hour duraon test - simulate a mains supply failure for one
hour connuous test by operaon of key switch or switching off circuit breaker. Ensure
normal supply is restored aer test and the indicator status LED is illuminated
• Annual full three hour duraon test - conduct a three hour connuous duraon test.
Simulate a mains supply failure for three hour connuous test by operaon of key switch
or switching off circuit breaker. Ensure normal supply is restored aer test and the
indicator status LED is illuminated
• If the luminaire fails any of the above tests, please contact a qualified electrician.

GENERAL:
The LEDs fied in this product are non-replaceable. The unit should be recycled in the
correct manner when it reaches the end of its life. Check local authories for where
facilies exist.
Clean with a so dry cloth only, do not use aggressive cleaning products or solvents
which may damage the fing.
GUARANTEE
• This product is only guaranteed against defects in manufacture.
• The warranty is valid for two years from date of purchase.
• The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installaon or abnormal wear
caused.
• The manufacturer does not warrant damage to surfaces resulng from improper
removal Or installaon.
