Getting started
You can also power your terminal

on the side of the terminal.

TIP
Get connected
If your terminal connects to the internet via mobile data with
a SIM card, you can start processing transactions. If not,
you will need to connect via Wi-Fi or your internet router.
SET UP YOUR PASSCODES
For your security, the refund functionality on your
T650p is protected by passcodes. To set up your
passcodes, call our Technical Helpdesk on 0800
EFTPOS (0800 338 767, option 2).
NOTE: You must be the listed authority on your
Eftpos NZ account to set up passcodes.
T650p Charging Only Base (for Wi-Fi and mobile terminals)
Set up base
Your new Verifone T650p terminal comes with either a charging only base for mobile / Wi-Fi
terminals OR a full feature base with Ethernet connectivity.

Connect to the internet
Via Wi-Fi
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable provided into the port labelled with the icon on your T650p
Full Feature base. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into a free LAN port on your router.

Connect to Wi-Fi
Swipe down from the
notication bar at the top
if the screen and tap and
hold the Wi-Fi icon.

Find your network
Select your network from
the available networks list.

Enter your password
Enter your Wi-Fi
password and tap
‘CONNECT’. Press the
HOME BUTTON
to navigate back to the
Payment screen.
Via your internet router
If your terminal is set up for Ethernet connection, it will automatically connect to the base via Bluetooth.
Once your base is connected to your router, the terminal doesn’t have to be on the base to take payment.

Your customer taps, inserts, or
swipes their card or mobile wallet
and enters their PIN if prompted

Customer selects how they would like
to receive their receipt. Learn more:

Enter the purchase
amount and tap Purchase.
TIP: You can tap on the icon to add
a reference to the transaction

Press Power button
To save power, your T650p goes into sleep mode when you are not using it.

The Notication bar at the top of the screen displays status icons on the right side and notication
alerts on the left. Swipe down from the Notication bar to see notication cards and the Quick Settings
panel.

Changing the paper roll
Remove used paper roll. Insert
new roll so the paper feeds from
the top, leaving a length of paper
sticking out of the terminal

shown above. There are small
slots to aid opening if required
Close the printer door,
pressing down gently until
it clicks shut

Charging the T650p
Using a Base
• Make sure the power supply is connected to the T650p base and plugged in (see page 1)
• Place the T650p on the base
• Look for this icon to make sure your T650p is charging
Using the USB Adapter
• Insert USB cable into USB adapter
• Insert USB adapter into wall socket
• Insert USB-C end into the USB-C charging port on the left side of the terminal
• Look for this icon to make sure your T650p is charging
