Tote Trays
Assembly Instructions
Important Information
• These Assembly Instructions are based on the assembly
of the ELO® Plymouth Desk. These instructions, however,
comply with all Tote Trays.
• Legs are required to be assembled to desk top before
installing tote trays.
• Discard any extra hardware that may be included.
Tools Required
• Screw gun
• 4mm hex bit
• Phillips head
screwdriver
• Drill bit extension
Before you begin, please make sure all parts and proper
quantities are included. (See Part Identifier Key) Any parts
damaged during shipment must be reported within 24 hours of
receipt. To report information regarding damages or if you have
any questions, please call 800.242.2303.

Step 1:
• Connect the plastic runner  to mounting bracket  by inserting the pegs of the runner into the mounting
bracket. Place flat head cap screw  through runner and fasten with hex nut  on the backside. Turn hex nut 
clockwise to tighten. Do this for both the left and right rails.
Step 2:
• Assemble tote tray  with the runners  on each side. The front of the tote tray needs to align with the angled
end of the runner as shown in image below.








Step 4:
• If the plastic runners/mounting brackets overlap the leg plates, there will be gaps between the desk top and
the runners/mounting brackets. To accommodate for the gaps, add rubber washers (may need 2 per hole) 
between the mounting brackets and the desk top. If the plastic runners/mounting brackets do not overlap the leg
plates, discard of rubber washers and proceed.
• Fasten the mounting brackets  to the desk top using a Phillips head screwdriver or Phillips head bit and a screw
gun with Phillips flat head screws  (qty may vary), fastening the outermost screws first. Do not over tighten.
NOTE: Do not attempt to use screws where the holes in the mounting brackets overlap the leg plates.





Step 5:
• Flip desk upright and be sure the tote slides smoothly in and out of the track.
Step 3:
• Place desk (with legs already assembled) on a protected flat surface.
• Place tote tray and runner/mounting bracket assembly on the desk top. The front of the tote tray and the angled
edge of the runners needs to be to the front edge of the desk top, with the angles edge of the runners facing up.
Align the holes in the mounting brackets with the pre-drilled holes in the top. Please note that the location of the
peck holes will vary from model to model.
• The plastic runners/mounting brackets may overlap with the leg plate on the desk, this is OK.
Overlap of leg plate is OK.
