Safety Instructions for owner and / or user
The Installation of the trailer hitch must be
installed only by an authorized Porsche dealer
Trailer hitches are safety parts. They must be
fitted on the vihicle by skilled staff. Trailer
hitches damaged due to an accident, bottoming
or crashing must be replaced subsequent
modifications such as bending, machining,
welding etc. are not allowed.
Warning: Consult your Owners Manual for
maximum vehicle towing capacity and
recommended towing procedure.
When towing a trailer, make sure that the
electrical cable between vehicle and trailer
cannot touch the ground.
The vehicle length and the vehicle handling are
altered when hitching a trailer. Adapt your
driving style and speed accordingly.
It is not possible for the vehicle manufacturer to
check all types of trailer or accessories in all
combinations and to issue the relevant
recommendations. The vehicle driver is
personally liable for his vehicle-trailer-
combination or accessories.
To avoid possible damage, the socket adapter
plug should be removed when not in use.
The ball mount should be removed when not in
use.
Never exceed the load rating of the ball or load
rating stamped on trailer hitch ball platform.
This hitch is designed to safely carry the loads
specified. Under no circumstances do we
recommend exceeding the towing vehicle
manufacturers recommended vehicle towing
capacities.
The following trailer and tongue weights are
authorized for the hitch:

Safety Instructions
Remove the body sealent and the underbody
coating from all the body parts supporting the
trailer hitch. Clean the body parts using a
commercial detergent. Coat bare body parts
with anticorrosive paint.
All bolts and nuts shall be used only one time.
Enclose these fitting instuctions in the Owners
Manual and inform the customer.
Advise the customer to read these safety
instructions before using a trailer and
recommend that he keeps the fitting
instructions in the vehicle, so that he can refer
to them whenever necessary.
