Safety Instructions for owner and / or user
The Installation of the trailer hitch must be
installed only by an authorized Porsche dealer
Trailer hitches are safety parts. They must be
fitted on the vihicle by skilled staff. Trailer
hitches damaged due to an accident, bottoming
or crashing must be replaced subsequent
modifications such as bending, machining,
welding etc. are not allowed.
Warning: Consult your Owners Manual for
maximum vehicle towing capacity and
recommended towing procedure.
When towing a trailer, make sure that the
electrical cable between vehicle and trailer
cannot touch the ground.
The vehicle length and the vehicle handling are
altered when hitching a trailer. Adapt your
driving style and speed accordingly.
It is not possible for the vehicle manufacturer to
check all types of trailer or accessories in all
combinations and to issue the relevant
recommendations. The vehicle driver is
personally liable for his vehicle-trailer-
combination or accessories.
To avoid possible damage, the socket adapter
plug should be removed when not in use.
The ball mount should be removed when not in
use.
Never exceed the load rating of the ball or load
rating stamped on trailer hitch ball platform.
This hitch is designed to safely carry the loads
specified. Under no circumstances do we
recommend exceeding the towing vehicle
manufacturers recommended vehicle towing
capacities.
The following trailer and tongue weights are
authorized for the hitch:

Safety Instructions
Remove the body sealent and the underbody
coating from all the body parts supporting the
trailer hitch. Clean the body parts using a
commercial detergent. Coat bare body parts
with anticorrosive paint.
All bolts and nuts shall be used only one time.
Enclose these fitting instuctions in the Owners
Manual and inform the customer.
Advise the customer to read these safety
instructions before using a trailer and
recommend that he keeps the fitting
instructions in the vehicle, so that he can refer
to them whenever necessary.

Instructions
 Glue 4 foam rings each as seals left and right on the
trailer hitch's screw points
 Screw on 4 fastening screws each on the left and right
 (Outer torx wrench SW19) - torque 100 Nm+90°
 Shape foam part with knife or heat cutting machine
 for model with outside spare wheel foam part, cut at
marking
 Glue on fitted foam part (fixate if necessary with addi-
tional adhesive tape)

12-poligen roten Stecker Bordnetz ins Steuergerät einstecken
Blindstopfen am Heckabschlußblech entfernen
vormontierten Kabelstrang der AHK durch die Öffnung
in den Innenraum einziehen, Durchführungstülle fachgerecht
einsetzen
– Kabelstrang vom Heckabschlußblech zum Steuergerät
– der AHK verlegen und mit Kabelbinder fixieren
– 16-poligen blauen Stecker (Steckdosenfunktion)
– ins Steuergerät (unterer Steckplatz) einstecken
KESSY-Antenne auf der linken und rechten Seite außen auf
dem Schaumteil fixieren
KESSY-Antenne auf der rechten Seite mit Halter auf AHK
fixieren
– grünen Stecker auf obere Position der Koppelstelle
– einstecken und verrasten

 Slide control unit onto stay olt
 Put snap nut M5 onto device holder and screw control
unit to the device holder using hexagon screw M5 x 12
Plug red 12-pin, on- oard electrical system plug into
control unit
Remove the welsh plugs from the tail plate
Draw the trailer hitch's pre-mounted wire lane through the
opening into the inside, insert the leadthrough ushing
properly
 Lay out the wire lane from the tail plate to the trailer
hitch's control unit and fasten with ca le inders
 Plug lue 16-pin plug (socket function) into control unit
( ottom socket)
Affix KESSY antenna on the left and right sides outside
on the foam part
Affix KESSY antenna on the right side with the holder to
the trailer hitch
 Insert and plug in green plug in the upper position of
the coupling point

Alle Sicherungen werden in der Sicherungsbox auf der Beifahrerseite (FR) bestückt.
Für RDW US-Variante AHV gilt (4 Sicherungen bestücken):
