handling of the thermometer.

portant for understanding the function,

Safety notes

Caution when measuring high tempera-

tures! Do not touch the temperature

sensor with bare hands immediately af-

ter measuring! Risk of burn injury! As a

basic principle, do not put the thermom-

eter in the hot zone during measuring.

Risk of explosion of the lithium battery!

Do not use the thermometer in explo-

sion endangered areas!

sonde à main nue aussitôt après la me-

N’utilisez pas le thermomètre en

atmosphère explosive.

Übersicht

Das Präzisions-Thermometer ist ein

handliches, wasserdichtes und mit einer

austauschbaren Lithiumbatterie

betriebenes Temperaturmessgerät für

vielfältige Mess- und Kontrollaufgaben

im Labor und in der Industrie.

Die Elektronik wird durch einen

Mikroprozessor gesteuert. Dies

garantiert eine hohe Messgenauigkeit

und Linearität über den gesamten

Messbereich.

Das geeichte Thermometer darf als

amtliches Kontrollthermometer zur

Überwachung der Temperaturen von

tiefgefrorenen Lebensmitteln gemäß

Richtlinie 92/2/EWG verwendet werden.

Overview

Powered by a replaceable lithium bat-

tery, the precision thermometer is a

handy, watertight temperature meas-

urement device for a whole range of

measurement and control applications

in the laboratory and in industry.

A micro-processor controls the electron-

ics, guaranteeing maximum measure-

ment precision and linearity over the

entire measurement range.

You may attach a range of ebro sensors

to the thermometer TFX 410-1 and TFX

430, selecting the one most suitable for

your technical measurement applica-

tion. With the TFX 410 the probe is firmly

attached.

Vue d’ensemble

Ce thermomètre de précision est un ins-

trument maniable et étanche alimenté

par une pile au lithium échangeable,

destine à de multiples prises de me-

sures et tâches de contrôle au labora-

toire et dans l’industrie.

L’électronique est commandée par un

microprocesseur. Ceci garantit des va-

leurs

exactes et linéaires sur toute la plage de

mesures.

Vous pouvez connecter différentes

sondes ebro à ce thermomètre TFX

410-1 et TFX 430. Choisissez toujours

la sonde la mieux adaptée aux condi-

tions techniques de votre prise de me-

sures. Le TFX 410 est un modèle avec

une sonde fixe.

Description

The general purpose thermometer is a

handy measuring instrument operated

with a lithium battery, used to measure

the temperature of air, liquids and plas-

tic material (meat, fruit, etc.)

The electronics are controlled by a mi-

croprocessor. This ensures a high

measuring precision and linearity over

the complete measuring range.

The thermometer is equipped with a

stainless steel tilting sensor needle.

Description

Le thermomètre articulé est un instru-

ment de mesure pratique alimenté par

une pile au lithium, destiné à mesurer la

température de l’air, de liquides et de

matières souples (viande, fruits, etc.).

La partie électronique est commandée

par un microprocesseur qui garantit des

valeurs exactes et linéaires sur toute la

plage de mesures.

Le thermomètre est équipé d’une sonde

Bedienung

Thermometer einschalten

Schalten Sie das Thermometer ein.

Drücken Sie dazu die Taste »ON/OFF«

mindestens eine Sekunde lang.

Das Gerät führt einen Systemtest durch,

wobei alle Segmente in der Anzeige

sichtbar sind.

Danach wird der Messkanal getestet. Im

Display wird » 38.8 « angezeigt.

Anschließend erscheint der erste

Messwert in °C.

Wird im Display eine Fehlermeldung

angezeigt, beachten Sie Kapitel 4

„Was

tun, wenn?“, Seite 10.

Temperaturmessung

Das Thermometer schaltet sich nach

zwei Betriebsstunden automatisch

aus, um die eingebaute Batterie zu

schonen.

Schwenken Sie die Fühlernadel heraus,

und positionieren Sie sie an der

gewünschten Stelle.

Operation

Switching on the thermometer

To switch the thermometer on, press the

”ON/OFF” button for at least one sec-

ond.

The device will perform a system test

during which all segments are visible in

the display.

After this the measuring channel is

tested. The display shows ”38.8”. After-

wards the first measured value will ap-

pear in °C.

If an error message is displayed, re-

fer to chapter 4 ”Troubleshooting“ on

page 10.

Temperature measuring

For conserving battery power, the

thermometer will switch off automati-

cally after 2 hours of operation.

Tilt the sensor needle out and place it at

the desired position.

Utilisation

Mise en marche duThermometer

Mettez le thermomètre en marche en

appuyant sur «ON/OFF» pendant au

moins une seconde.

L’instrument effectue un test système

pendant lequel tous les éléments de

l’écran d’affichage sont visibles.

Puis un test du canal de mesure Durant

lequel s’affiche la valeur «38.8» Enfin

s’affiche la première valeur mesurée en

°C.

page 10.

Mesure de la température

Le thermomètre s’éteint automati-

quement après deux heures d’utili-

sation pour préserver la pile.

Ouvrez la sonde articulée et placez-la à

l’endroit voulu.

order to avoid damages and faulty

measurements.

When the measurement is finished,

switch the device off by pressing “ON/

OFF”.

Troubleshooting

Utilisez toujours la sonde conformé-

terez ainsi tout risque de dommage

et de fausse mesure.

Um eine hohe Messgenauigkeit zu

garantieren, muss das Thermometer

jährlich kalibriert werden. Dazu bietet

ebro Electronic einen Kalibrierservice

an.

• Füllen Sie die beiliegende Servicekarte

aus.

• Nach einem Jahr rufen wir Ihr

Thermometer zur Kalibrierung ab.

• Innerhalb einer Woche erhalten Sie

das Thermometer kalibriert zurück.

Calibration services

In order to guarantee a high measuring

precision, the thermometer must be cal-

ibrated every year. Therefore ebro

Electronic offers a calibration service.

• Fill in the enclosed service card.

• After one year we will recall your ther-

mometer for calibration.

• The calibrated thermometer will be re-

turned within one week.

Service de calibrage

chaque année. Pour cela, ebro Electro-

nic vous propose un service de cali-

brage.

• Remplissez la carte-service jointe.
