INSTALLATION
ToinstalltheSFPIR‐1intoanappropriatemodule,completethe
followingsteps:
1. InspecttheSFPIR‐1.Ifdamaged,fileaclaimwiththecarrier
andthencontactADTRANCustomerSupport.
CAUTION
!
DonotremovetheprotectiveendcapfromtheSFPuntilthefiber
opticcableisreadytobeconnected.
2. InserttheSFPIR‐1intotheSFPcageonthemodule.Ensure
thatthemanufacturer’slabelontheSFPisfacingupwardfor
correctinstallation.
3. SlidetheSFPIR‐1allthewayintothereceptacleuntilthere
isanaudible“click”.
NOTE
ThelatchontheSFPisusedtoremovetheSFPfromthecageon
thecircuitcard.

TheSFPistobeinstalledinADTRANproductsinRestricted
AccessLocationsonly,andinstalledbytrainedservicepersonnel.
