 Heatpumpmodelswilloperateintheheangmodedowntoaslowas24°Foutdoorambi-
enttemperature.
 Theunitcanbeinstalledushtoanishedoor,ifdesired.(Someaccessoriesdonothavezeroclear-
ance).
 Thefanconnuestorun30secondsaerthecompressorhasstoppedineithercoolingorheat
pumpmodeandaerelectricheathasbeenturnedo.Thisimproveseciencybydispersingthecondionedaironthe
coilsintotheroom.
 Thisfeaturehelpsprolongthelifeofthecompressorbyprevenngshort-cycling.Whenthecompres-
sorisswitchedfromOtoOnbecauseroomtemperaturehasrisenorfallenbelowthespeciedlimit,itwillremainonfor
atleast4minutes.Ifthetemperatureset-pointischangedduringthis4minutes,thelock-infeatureisoverridden.
 Nomore“myunitisnotheang”complaintsduringthemiddleofthenight.Heatpumpunits
willautomacallyswitchovertoelectricresistanceheatiftheheatpumpcompressorsystemfailsoriftheheangloadis
greaterthantheunitcapacity.

The DigiSmart Wireless Remote Thermostat can mount on the wall anywhere in

Itisextremelyimportanttocleantheinletairltersonceamonth(ormoreoenifoperatedindustyordirtylocaonsor
condions) to properly maintain the operaonal performance of the PTAC unit. The two intake air lters (constructed of
durablepolypropylene)canbeeasilyinsertedintothecabinetfrontusingthecabinetlterguides.Beforecleaningtheintake
lters,turntheunitobysengthemodeswitchtotheOFFposion.Filtersshouldbecleanedasrequired.Thefollowing
procedureisusedtoremovetheintakelters:
1.Facingtheunit,pulluponthelterhandleslocatedatthefronttopoftheunit.
2.Pulleachlterupwardandremove.
3.Cleanlterswithvacuumorwithrunningwater.Reversethisproceduretoreinstallthelters.
