The User information section provides information concerning the operating manual.
This operating manual is valid for all versions of the implement.
Figures are provided as a reference and are to be understood as representations of the principle.
All of the equipment is described without designating it as special equipment. A description may be
provided for equipment that is not fitted on the implement or is only available in certain markets. The
sales documents provide information on the equipment of your implement or consult your service part-
ner for more detailed information.
All information in this operating manual corresponds to the information available at the time of publica-
tion. Due to ongoing development of the implement, deviations are possible between the implement
and the information in this operating manual. No claims can be made based on differences in the spe-
cifications, figures or descriptions.
Should you desire to sell the implement, ensure that the operating manual is provided with the imple-
ment.
The operating manual
describes the operation and maintenance of the implement
provides important information for safe and efficient handling of the implement

This section contains important information on safe operation of the machine.
2.1 Obligations and liability
Comply with the notices in the operating manual
Knowledge of the basic safety notices and safety regulations is a fundamental requirement for safe
handling and fault-free machine operation.
Obligations of the owner
The owner is obligated to only allow personnel to work with/on the implement, who
are familiar with the basic occupational health and safety regulations and accident prevention
regulations
have been instructed in working with/on the implement
have read and understood this operating manual.
The owner is obligated
to keep all the warning symbols on the implement in a legible condition
to replace damaged warning symbols.
Obligations of the operator
Before starting tasks, anyone assigned to work with/on the machine is obligated
to comply with the basic occupational health and safety regulations and accident prevention regu-
lations
to read and comply with the section "General safety notices" of this operating manual
to read the section "Warning symbols and other markings on the implement" in this operating
manual and to follow the safety instructions represented by the warning symbols when operating
the implement
to familiarize themselves with the implement
to read the sections of this operating manual that are important for execution of the assigned
tasks.
If the operator determines that a function is not working properly, then the operator must eliminate this
fault immediately. If this is not the task of the operator or if the operator does not have the appropriate
technical knowledge, then the operator should report this fault to the supervisor (owner).

Risks involved in handling the machine
The machine has been constructed in accordance with the state-of-the art and the acknowledged sa-
fety standards. Nevertheless, when using the machine, risks and impairments can arise
for the health and safety of the user or third parties

Guarantee and liability
Our "Terms and Conditions of Sale and Delivery" always apply. These are available to the owner, at

damage will be excluded if they are attributed to one or more of the following causes:
Non-intended use of the implement
Improper mounting, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the implement
Operation of the implement with defective safety devices or improperly attached or non-
functioning safety devices and protective devices
Failure to comply with the instructions in the operating manual regarding commissioning, operati-
on, and maintenance
Unauthorized structural modifications of the implement
Insufficient monitoring of implement parts that are subject to wear
Improperly executed repairs
Disasters due to the effects of foreign objects and force majeure.

2.2 Presentation of safety symbols
Safety notices are indicated by the triangular safety symbol and the highlighted signal word. The signal
word (DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION) describes the severity of the risk, and has the following me-
aning:
DANGER
Indicates a direct hazard with high risk that will result in death or
serious injury (loss of limbs or long-term harm), if not prevented.
Failure to comply with these notices will result in death or seri-
ous injury.
WARNING
Indicates a possible hazard with moderate risk that can result in
death or (serious) injury if not prevented.
Failure to comply with these notices can result in death or seri-
ous injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a hazard with low risk that can result in minor or mode-
rate injury or material damage, if not prevented.
IMPORTANT
Indicates an obligation to behave in a particular manner or indi-
cates an activity required for proper handling of the machine.
Failure to comply with these notices can cause faults on the ma-
chine or damage in the vicinity of the machine.
NOTE
Indicates handling tips and particularly useful information.
These notes will help you to use all the functions of your machi-
ne in the best manner possible.

2.3 Organizational measures
The owner must provide the necessary personal protective equipment, such as:

Chemical-resistant overalls
Skin protection agents, etc.

2.4 Safety devices and protective devices
All the safety devices and protective devices must be properly attached and fully functional every time
before the machine is started. Check all safety devices and protective devices regularly.
Faulty safety devices
Faulty or dismounted safety devices and protective devices can result in dangerous situations.
2.5 Informal safety measures
In addition to all the safety instructions in this operating manual, also comply with the generally valid
national regulations pertaining to accident prevention and environmental protection.
When driving on public roads and routes, comply with the statutory road traffic regulations.

2.6 Training of personnel
Only trained and instructed persons are allowed to work with/on the machine. The owner must clearly
specify the responsibilities of the persons assigned to operate, maintain, and repair the machine.
Personnel in training are only allowed to work with/on the machine under the supervision of an experi-
enced person.

1) A person who can take on a specific task, and who is allowed to execute this task for an approp-
riately qualified company.
2) Instructed persons are persons, who have been instructed in their assigned tasks and in the pos-
sible risks associated with improper behavior, who have been trained if required, and have been
informed concerning the necessary protective devices and measures.
3) Persons with specialized technical training are considered specialists. Due to their specialized
training and their knowledge of the appropriate regulations, they can evaluate the tasks, with
which they have been entrusted, and they can identify possible dangers.
Comment:
A qualification equivalent to specialized training can be obtained through several years of experi-
ence in the relevant field.
If maintenance and repair tasks are additionally marked as "Work-
shop task", only a specialist workshop is allowed to perform these
tasks. The personnel employed in a specialized workshop have the
appropriate knowledge and suitable equipment (tools, lifting devices,
and support devices) for carrying out the maintenance and repair
tasks on the machine in a manner that is both appropriate and safe.

2.7 Safety measures in normal operation
Only operate the machine if all the safety devices and protective devices are fully functional.
Check the implement at least once a day for apparent damage and function of the safety devices and
protective devices.
2.8 Danger from residual energy
Note that residual mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic energy can be present in the
machine.
Take appropriate measures in this regard when instructing the operator. Detailed instructions are pro-
vided in the relevant sections of this operating manual.
2.9 Maintenance and repair, troubleshooting
Execute the required adjustment, maintenance, and inspection tasks in a timely manner.
Secure all media, such as compressed air and the hydraulic system, against unintentional start-up.
Carefully fasten and secure larger assembly groups to lifting gears when executing replacement tasks.
Check all the bolted connections for firm seat. On completion of the maintenance tasks, check the
function of the safety devices and protective devices.
2.10 Structural modifications
Do not make any modifications, attach anything, or convert anything on the implement without permis-
sion
from AMAZONEN-WERKE. This also applies when welding bearing parts.
All attachment or conversion measures require the written permission of AMAZONEN-WERKE. Only
use conversion parts and special equipment parts that are approved by AMAZONEN-WERKE so that
the type approval, for example, remains valid in accordance with national and international regulations.
Vehicles with an official type approval or with devices and equipment connected to a vehicle with a
valid type approval or approval for road transport according to the German road traffic regulations,
must be in the status specified through the permission or approval.

Danger of crushing, cutting, entrapment, entanglement or impact
due to breakage of load-bearing parts.
The following are strictly prohibited
drilling holes in the frame or in the running gear,
enlarging existing holes on the frame or the running gear,
welding on load-bearing parts.

2.10.1 Spare parts, wear parts, and auxiliary materials
Immediately replace any machine parts that are not in perfect condition.
Use only genuine AMAZONE spare parts and wear parts or parts approved by AMAZONEN-WERKE
so that the operating permit retains its validity in accordance with national and international regulati-
ons. If you use wear parts and spare parts from third parties, there is no guarantee that such parts
have been designed and manufactured in such a manner as to meet the requirements imposed on
them.
AMAZONEN-WERKE shall accept no liability for damage caused by the use of non-approved spare
parts and wear parts or auxiliary materials.
2.11 Cleaning and disposal
Carefully handle and dispose of any materials used, in particular
when carrying out work on lubrication systems and lubrication equipment and
when cleaning with solvents.
2.12 Workstation of the operator
Only only one person who is properly seated in the driver's seat of the tractor is allowed to operate the
implement.

2.13 Warning symbols on the implement
Always keep all warning symbols on the implement clean and in a
legible condition! Replace illegible warning symbols. You can request
the warning symbols from your AMAZONE dealer using the order
number (e.g., MD075).
Structure
Warning symbols indicate danger areas on the implement and warn of residual dangers. In these dan-
ger areas, there are permanently present dangers or dangers that occur unexpectedly.
A warning symbol consists of 2 fields.
Field 1
Shows the danger in a triangular safety symbol.
Field 2
Shows the instructions for avoiding the danger.
Explanatory text adjacent to the warning symbol
The text adjacent to the warning symbol describes
1. The dangers, e.g.:
cutting or severing hazard.
2. The consequence or consequences of failure to comply with the hazard avoidance instructions,
for example:
This hazard can cause severe finger or hand injuries.
3. Instructions for avoiding the hazard, for example:
Do not touch implement parts until after they have come to a complete standstill.

This hazard can cause the most severe injuries
with loss of body parts.
Never reach into the danger area when the trac-
tor engine is running and the universal joint shaft
or hydraulic system / electronic system is
connected.
MD 082
Risk of falling for persons standing on the
implement steps or platforms, while the im-
plement is in motion!
There is a risk of severe injuries, possibly with
fatal consequences.
Conveying persons on the implement and/or
climbing on the implement in operation are pro-
hibited. This prohibition also applies to machines
with steps or platforms.
Ensure that nobody is conveyed on the machine.

Risk of accident due to improperly attached
sling gear for lifting!
If sling gear for lifting is fastened on attachment
points that are not suitable for this purpose, the
implement can be damaged at lifting, and safety
may be impaired.
Only fasten the sling gear for lifting on
suitable attachment points.
The suitable attachment points are spe-
cified in the operating manual, see
Transporting the implement.
To determine the required load-bearing
capacity of the sling gear, comply with
the information in the table below.

Do not inhale this harmful substance.
Avoid skin contact and eye contact.
Before working with hazardous materials,
put on the protective clothing recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
Comply with the manufacturer's safety
instructions for handling harmful sub-

Risk of accident and implement damage at
transport due to improperly secured imple-
ment!
For implement transport, only attach the
lashing straps on the marked lashing
points.
