T50 Access Controller.
The Anviz T50 access controller allows you to control access to doors thru its dry contact and
wiegand output connections.
The dry contact connection allows you to connect the T50 device direct to any electronic door
lock such as an electronic magnet ( maglock ) electric stryke or electric dead bolt also other
type of connections allows the T50 device to be integrated to most access control panels thru
its standard wiegand output. The T50 device operates on 12V only.
The T50 device can work stand alone and also it can be connected to a network thru its TCP/IP
network adpater the network feature allows conectivity to the T50 device from any computer
on a LAN WAN or remote network connection to be able to retrieve the times in which the
users are opening the doors the software keeps track of these times it could also create simple
printable reports and it can control multiple number of T50 devices ( doors ) at the same time
also with the multiple device connection you will be able to transfer fingerprint biometric
templates and user information in between the T50 devices connected to the same software.
This guide will explain to you how to connect the T50 device as a simple dry contact connection
or to an access control panel and also how to utilize every feature on the T50 device such as
adding deleting fingerprints time and date set device password and a couple more features as
well as the use of the access control management software.

1.3 etwork connection settings and configuration.
This section will explain how to connect the T50 device to a network to allow tracking of door
opening times and to manage everything in regards to the T50 device. The network feature on
the T50 device is not standard on every model the T50 also comes stand alone with out
network connection if your T50 doesn’t have a TCP/IP network adapter skip chapter 1.3.
First the correct IP settings must be configured on the T50 device.
The factory default TCP/IP network settings for the T50 are as follows:
•T50 device IP : 192.168.000.218
•T50 device sub net : 255.255.255.000
•T50 device gateway : 192.168.000.001
If you need to change these settings to be able to connect the T50 device to your network the
configuration can be done thru the T50 Access control management software and a “crossover”
network cable will be needed also.
Crossover network cable configuration
The crossover network cable has one end with the normal color pin out and the other end has
cables 1&3 and 2&6 crossed making it a crossover cable.
To configure ip address on the T50 device do the following:
•Connect the T50 device to its power source. ( must be 12v )

• Connect the crossover cable one end on the PC’s network adpater the other end on the
T50 network adpater.
•Open the T50 access control management software if you successfullly installed the T50
management software there should be an icon on your computers’s desktop as follows.
•Once the software is opened add the T50 connection settings as follows.
-Press the Add device button.
-Enter the following connection settings.
Device # : The software will automatically generate this number in sequence leave it as 1 or
type the number you wish to assign the connection.
Device serial # : Type here the T50 serial number or you may leave it same as the device
number.

Device Name : Enter here a name for your connection. Example : Front door warehouse NY
ETC.
Connection type : Select TC/IP and here enter IP address 192.168.0.218 which is the IP
configured on the T50 network settings. This is the IP address that needs to modified to the one
within the network settings where the T50 device will be installed.
-Once the connection settings have been entered the software should look like the
piture below and to test the connection click on synchronize time with PC.
-If the settings and the connection were configured properly the red icon will turn
blue and a confirmation will be followed. ( see picture below ) from now on
everytime the access control software is opened the icon should always turn blue.

•Once the connection has been setup correctly then right click on the blue icon ( as show
on the picture below ) and click on Device IP settings, check marks the ip settings and
here you may enter the new T50 device IP address subnet mask and gateway then
press ok to save the new IP addresses. The T50 device can now be connected to the
network with the new IP settings.

Chapter 2 – T50 use and operation.
This chapter will explain how to utilize the menu on the T50 device with options such as adding
deleting fingerprints set the date and time and the device’s admin password.
2.1 - How to enroll fingerprints.
2.2 - How to delete fingerprints.
2.3 – How to set date and time.
2.4 – How to change the T50 admin password.
2.1 How to enroll fingerprints
The T50 device is password protected and it will go on power saving mode after a couple minutes of
inactivity meaning that the blue light will turn off.
To enroll users do the following:
•Press the ok key to turn on the blue light.
•Press OK/ M and “PW” will display.
•Using the keypad enter the device password “9999” and press OK ( factory default
password ) it could also be modified.
•ADD will blink then press ok to start adding users.
•The device will auto assign each user an ID number in sequence. Press OK to accept the
ID number then press OK to record FP1 ( fingerprint 1 ) the device will display PLACE
FINGER.
•It is very important to follow the instructions in the next picture when recording the
fingerprints to maximize the performance of the fingerprint reader. When prompted to
place the fingerprint bring the finger down then up then down again laying the finger
flat down on the center as shown on the illustration below and if it goes to the next ID
means the registration is ok the users should also follow the same procedure when
unlocking the door.
•Press C a couple times to exit registration mode and try to use the fingerprint enrolled.

2.2 How to delete fingerprints
•Press M.
•Enter the password and press OK.
•Press the arrow key ( /

 ) to select DEL then press OK
•Using the keypad type the ID number of the employee you wish to delete and press OK.
This four step procedure will delete the employee ID number as well as the fingerprint emplate
file for such user.
2.3 How to set the date and time.
•Press M.
•Enter the password and press OK.
•Press the right arrow key twice ( /) to select TIME and press ok.
•Using the keypad enter 2 digits for month then 2 digits for day the 2 digits for year then
press ok.
•Then type the correct date and press OK.
•Done. Exit by pressing on C key a couple times to go back to the main screen.
