Avtech AVC 760 Setup guide

HOW TO SET UP MOTION DETECTION WITH THE FOLLOWING DVRs
AVC 760, AVC 761, AVC 781, AVC 782, AVC 782A
If yo r motion detection screen is pink then it is not recording. Pink is sed for motion masking s ch as trees, b shes, ect.
If yo r screen is clear, and yo can see yo r camera video then that is the correct setting.
Enter MENU
select ADVANCE
select DETECTION Move the c rsor to the second col mn marked DET, make s re it says ON for all of the cameras that
yo have hooked p.
Now move the c rsor to the third col mn marked AREA. On cam one press enter. If the page is pink then this is not seeing
"motion", if it is clear than it is looking for motion to trigger recording.
Here is the hard part to describe. Find where the c rsor is blinking (probably aro nd the center of the screen somewhere)
sing the left arrow move it to the far left of yo r screen, sing the p arrow go all the way to the top of the screen. Press
enter (this marks a starting point), move the c rsor down to the bottom of the screen, (do not to ch any b ttons except
arrow/directional b ttons), when yo get to the bottom of the screen se the right arrow, and move the c rsor to the right.
Here is what yo sho ld be seeing. When yo pressed enter at the top of the screen the sq are went from pink to clear, as
yo pressed the arrow down the whole col mn became clear. As yo sed the right arrow the screen slowly became clear as
yo worked yo r way to the right.
When yo get to the right side of the screen yo can move yo r hand in front of a camera and yo will see all of the sq ares
"activating" as it follows yo r movements. Press ENTER to stop the selection process. Yo are now good to go for motion
detection.
Press MENU to back o t of camera one area, and press the down arrow to get to camera two area. Press ENTER, and repeat
steps for each camera.
Here is a trick. If yo have some o tdoor cameras, and yo have some b shes, trees, ect, then yo can set p motion
masking. Now the b shes, and trees will not trigger yo r cameras.
Move the c rsor to where yo want to start a motion area. Start at the top of this area, press enter, go down as many sq ares
as yo need then work yo r way to the left or right to make a "motion" box. Press enter to stop the selection process. Yo
can now freely move the c rsor. Go to yo r next area that yo want motion detection, and make yo r box, rectangle, or j st
go wild to get all of the nooks, and cranny aro nd moving objects.
Press men to get o t of AREA, press men to get o t of Detection.
Go to RECORD
go to event record
press enter. It sho ld say YES

Remark:
LS (Level of sensitivity)
This is the sensitivity of comparing two different images. The lower the n mber the higher sensitivity for motion detection.
Defa lt is 7.
SS (Spacial Sensitivity)
The Sensitivity towards the size of the triggered object on the screen (the n mber of motion detection grids). The smaller
the val e the higher the sensitivity for motion detection. The highest sensitivity is 00. Defa lt is 03. (Once in object is
detected more than 3 grids then the system will trigger).
TS (Time of sensitivity)
The sensitivity regarding how long the object gets triggered. The smaller the val e, the higher motion detection sensitivity
will be. The highest sensitivity setting is 00. Defa lt is 02
RE (Reference)
The val e of RE is a reference for detection. The defa lt val e is 10, which means the DVR will compare 10 contin o s
images at one time according to the sensitivity of LS, SS, TS sim ltaneo sly. The bigger the val e, the higher sensitivity for
motion detection.
