Cisco TelePresence DX70 User instructions

Cisco DX70 or 80: Setting up for NHS networked use v1.5
Please contact [email protected] giving the MAC address of any system you wish to
register. The MAC address allows us to set your dial-in num er correctly. You will e sent a
4-digit PIN num er to e used to unlock the screen. This is required for the final part of the
set-up.
Your DX must have a valid, unused, 10.247.*.* IP address (along with appropriate
gateway, su net and DNS settings). If your oard uses dedicated network ports for its
video conference devices (a specific VLAN) then you must attach your DX to one of these
network ports or ask for the one you intend using it on to e ena led for this purpose.
Once this is in place please connect the DX to your network and power it on.
N.B. We only allow video devices on this network address range. Your a ility to use
Android apps will e disa led once your device has registered.
If you are required to enter a static IP address for your network
you will pro a ly see a screen saying you are una le to connect
to a network. Tap Cancel
Tap Get Started on the first Welcome Screen then tap K on the
next screen.
At the top RHS of the screen you’ll now see 6 small white dots.

Tap the dots (and OK again if you’re asked on the next screen)
then tap Settings (round orange icon).
Tap IPv4 configuration. Tick Use static IP (unless your oard
uses DHCP and NAT addressing). Enter your network details and
tap Save
On the left hand menu, still within Settings → Wireless &
Networks tap More... then TFTP server settings. Tap the box to
insert a tick for use alternative TFP server. Tap Continue when
asked a out a Trust list and enter 10.247.96.242 for TFTP server
1 and again for server 2.
Tap the home utton (a small house shaped icon at the ottom of the screen) and wait. Assuming
your system and the addresses entered are not caught y your firewall rules your system will
automatically register with our infrastructure and you will see a 6-digit num er appear at the ottom
left hand side of your screen after a few minutes. During this process your device may restart and
you may e asked to enter an unlock PIN. Please used the one supplied in your email from
vc.support. Once you see your device with a 6-digit num er please contact VC Support to e
assigned your full 9-digit num er after which you will e a le to make and receive calls to our other
systems.
