Programming product keys on Raffaello Megaline A 1 and Raffaello Megaline A 2
Raffaello Megaline espresso machines allow automatic portion control of coffee and hot water.
Automatic portion control means that all coffee and hot water product keys (“buttons”) dispense a
programmed quantity of coffee or hot water whenever you press them. You do just start (pushing the
key) the dispensing and the machine will stop the process by itself.
Programming of the product keys is typically done when installing the equipment. Programming can
be done anyhow at any time.
How to proceed:
Automatic
coffee portion
control keys
Program and semi-
auto portion control
key
Automatic hot
water portion
control key
1. Push “P” key (program and semi-automatic portion control key) and keep it pressed until the
LEDs of all keys start flashing.
Now press and release the product key to be programmed. The LED of this product key will be on
(but not flashing), while all the other LEDS are off.
2. The product (coffee or hot water) will be dispensed.
3. When you’re done, press the product key you’re programming again. The dispensing is stopped
and the LED of this key is off while the LEDs on the other keys turn on and flash. From this
moment whenever this programmed product key is pushed the preset quantity will be dispensed.
Specifications subject to change without notice.
14
2 group machines: once the left hand (seen from operator) group has been programmed,
automatically the same portions per key are programmed on the other group. You can of course
proceed to a dedicated programming of second group. This might be useful if you need two different
hot water portions. So you can set a different hot water portion on each of the two hot water buttons
(one on every touchpanel).
We strongly recommend doing the programming under working conditions.
Example: when programming the portion key for product key “1 small espresso” (ristretto), put the
one cup filter basket into the filter holder, fill it with the adequate quantity of correctly ground coffee
and tighten the filter holder firmly into the group. Place a cup under the group.
Now proceed programming this product keyt as explained above.
