Safety
• Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded components inside
thecasing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance of at least 5 cm between
thespeaker and surrounding objects is necessary to prevent thespeaker from overheating.
• Thespeaker must only be connected to a110–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that the wall socket to which the mains lead is connected is easily accessible,
since this is the only way to completely disconnect the speaker from the mains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Donot place any
objects containing liquid , such as vases or drinks onto the speaker.
• Do not place the speaker near naked flames such as fireplaces, wood stoves and lit candles.
• Place thespeaker in anarea where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its mainslead.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperaturese.g. prolonged sunlight exposure, dust, heavy
vibrations, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse themainslead. Neverunplug theproduct by pulling on its mainslead. Always
grip theplug itself. Makesure that themains lead does not come into contact with heat,
sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect theplug from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is not to be
used for alongtime.
• Thestandby switch on the speaker does not completely disconnect it from themains.
To completely disconnect the speaker from the mains, the plug must be removed from the
wall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to permanent
hearingloss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or themains lead is damaged in anyway.
• Only use accessories that are approved by themanufacturer or retailer.
• Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• The battery must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency band can reduce thetransmissionrange.
• Therange of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles located between
thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall will interfere with thesignal more than
aplasterboard wall).
