Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save
it for future reference. We reserve theright for any errors in text or images and any
necessary changes made to technical data. In theevent of technical problems or other
queries, please contact our Customer Services (see address details on theback).
Safety
• Theproduct should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded components
inside thecasing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or
electric shock.
• Do not cover theproduct. Adequate ventilation, with adistance of at least 5 cm
between ventilation ports and surrounding surfaces, is necessary to prevent
theproduct from overheating.
• Theproduct must only be connected to astandard domestic 230V, 50Hz
electrical supply.
• Make sure that thewall socket that is used is easily accessible, since this is
theonly way to completely disconnect theproduct from themains supply.
• Place theproduct on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place theproduct where there is arisk of it falling into water or other liquid.
Do not place any objects which contain liquid onto theproduct such as vases,
drinks, etc.
• Do not place theproduct near naked flames such as wood stoves or lit candles.
• Place theproduct in such away that there is no risk of people tripping over its mains lead.
• Theproduct is designed exclusively for normal domestic use.
• Theproduct is intended for indoor use only.
• Never subject theproduct to extremely high or low temperatures, dust, heavy vibration,
impacts, humidity or moisture.
• Do not abuse themains lead. Never unplug theproduct by pulling on its mains lead.
Always grip theplug itself. Make sure that themains lead does not come into contact
with heat, sharp edges or is crushed in any way.
• Unplug themains lead from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if theproduct
is not to be used for along time.
• Thestandby switch does not completely disconnect theproduct from themains.
In order for theproduct to be completely isolated from themains, its mains lead
must be unplugged from thewall socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Never use theproduct if themains lead has been damaged in any way.
• This product should only be repaired by aqualified service technician.

• Persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of
experience and knowledge means that they cannot use theproduct in asafe way
must not use it without supervision or instruction.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency band can reduce
thetransmission range.
• Therange of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles located
between thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall will interfere with
thesignal more than aplasterboard wall).
If you experience problems, try thefollowing:
• Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check whether this is thecause
of theproblem.
• Reposition thewireless equipment, shorten thedistance between thetransmitter and
thereceiver or reduce thenumber of obstacles (walls, furniture, etc.) between them.

Remote control battery
1. Thebattery in theremote control is covered with afilm to prevent it from discharging
during storage and transport. This film needs to be removed before theremote
control can be used.
2. To change thebattery, open thebattery drawer by pressing in thespring catch and
pulling thedrawer out. Follow themarkings on theback of theremote.
3. Insert anew battery (CR2025). Make sure that thepositive (+) terminal is facing
upwards, towards you. Note thepolarity markings on theback of theremote
control and in thebattery drawer to ensure correct insertion.
4. Slide thebattery drawer back into theremote control.
Assembly
Securely screw thefoot to thespeaker using thesupplied screw and washer.
Operating instructions
1. Plug themains lead into awall socket. TheSTANDBY indicator (2) will come on.
2. Press [STANDBY/ON] on thespeaker or [ ] on theremote control to switch
thespeaker on.
3. Thespeaker will come on in thelatest selected mode, BLUETOOTH or AUX.
4. Press [STANDBY/ON] on thespeaker or [ ] on theremote control again to
switch thespeaker off.

AUX IN
Playback from an external device via Bluetooth
1. Switch thespeaker on as directed above.
2. Press [MODE] on thespeaker or on theremote control until theBluetooth
indicator (1) flashes. Thespeaker is now detectable for other Bluetooth devices.
3. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired with thespeaker.
4. Thespeaker will appear on your device as BTX1500, select it and pair it with your device.
5. Once connection has been established theBluetooth LED will light steadily.
6. Start playback on your device. Set thedesired volume levels both on theexternal
device and thespeaker. Theplayback can be controlled from thespeaker, remote
control or from theexternal device.
Note:
• If you are prompted to enter aPIN code on your device, you should enter 0000
(four zeroes). Certain devices may also require you to approve theconnection.
• If you have connected amobile phone to thespeaker via Bluetooth and receive
acall (or make one) whilst you are listening to music, themusic will be switched off
automatically. Once thecall ends, music playback will automatically be resumed
(if your phone settings support this).
Playback from an external device via AUX
1. Switch thespeaker on as directed above.
2. Plug a3.5 mm audio cable into theAUX IN socket (12) on thespeaker and
connect theother end to your device.
3. Press [MODE] on thespeaker or on theremote control until theAUX indicator (7)
comes on.
4. Start playback on your device.
5. Thevolume can be adjusted using thecontrols on theexternal device, thespeaker
or theremote control.
6. Other playback settings can be controlled from theexternal device.
Note: You cannot change track on thespeaker or with theremote control when
anexternal device is connected via theAUX IN socket.
Connecting a device using NFC (Near Field Communication)
1. Switch thespeaker on as directed above.
2. Press [MODE] on thespeaker or on theremote control
until theBluetooth indicator (1) flashes.
3. Activate Bluetooth and NFC on thedevice you intend to
connect to thespeaker.
4. Place thepart of your device where theNFC antenna is
situated (refer to theinstruction manual of your device if
you are unsure) against thelocation of theNFC connection
on thespeaker. Information about pairing with thespeaker
will be shown on your external device. Follow these instructions to connect.
5. TheBluetooth LED will shine blue once thespeaker has been successfully connected.

Light effects
Note: In the “Spectrum” and “Level” light modes, you will need to increase thevolume
on your external device in order for thelight effects to work. Thehigher thevolume on
your external device, thebrighter thelight effects. Thehighest level of illumination will
be achieved if thevolume of your external device is set to maximum and thevolume of
thespeaker is controlled by theremote control.
Thelight effects are controlled using theremote control:
• [LED OFF/ON] (15) Switches thelighting on or off.
• [LED MODE] (16) Thespeaker has 3 different light modes: Spectrum, Level
and Wall Lamp. Press [LED MODE] therequired number of times to choose
thedesired mode.
• [LED COLOUR] (24) TheSpeaker has 9 different colour modes: red, green, blue,
purple, light yellow, light blue, white, spectrum and changing colours.
Care and maintenance
• Unplug themains lead from thewall socket before cleaning.
• Clean thespeaker using alightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Unplug themains lead, remove thebattery from theremote control and store
thespeaker in adry, dust-free environment and out of thereach of children
whenever it is not to be used for anextended period.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with
general household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. In order
to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling
so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible manner. When
recycling your product, take it to your local collection facility or contact
theplace of purchase. They will ensure that theproduct is disposed of in
anenvironmentally sound manner.

Troubleshooting guide
Thespeaker will
not switch on.
• Make sure that themains lead is undamaged and securely
connected to thewall socket.
• Check that thewall socket is live.
• If you are using theremote control:
- Make sure that thespeaker is not out of range (5m).
- Point theremote control directly at thespeaker.
- Is thebattery in theremote control flat?
No sound from
theconnected
device.
• Check thevolume level of both thespeaker and
theconnected device.
• Check that theMUTE function is not activated.
If using the AUX IN
• Check that theaudio cable connecting thedevice and
thespeaker is intact and securely connected.
• Is AUX selected as theplayback mode?
If using Bluetooth or NFC
• Make sure that theBluetooth/NFC connection is
functioning properly.
• Test theplayback from your external device before
connecting it to thespeaker to ensure that it works.
• Try using another file for playback. Thefile you are
attempting to play may be corrupted.
• Pull theplug from thewall socket to disconnect thespeaker
completely from themains. Plug themains lead back in again.

Tänk på att:
• Annan befintlig trådlös utrustning på samma frekvensband kan påverka
räckvidden negativt.
• Räckvidden på all trådlös utrustning påverkas av vilka hinder som finns mellan
sändaren och mottagaren (t.ex. dämpar enbetongvägg signalen avsevärt mer
än engipsvägg).
Vid funktionsproblem, prova följande lösningar:
• Stäng av övriga befintliga trådlösa utrustningar för att kontrollera om de kan vara
orsaken till problemet.
