Helpful bunk bed safety tips
Bunk beds should be checked periodically to ensure that the guardrail, ladder and other
components are secure and in the correct position and all connectors are tight.
We recommend that children under the age of nine (9) do not use the upper bunk. Children
should be discouraged from playing on the bunk bed.
No more than one occupant should use the upper bunk at any time (unless otherwise stated).
Bunk beds should be placed a minimum of 2 metres away from any ceiling fans to prevent any
injury to the upper bunk occupant.

Insert 2 x Mid Posts (P9) into Lower Posts (P10 & P11), then attach these to Base End Panel (P12)
using 4 x Bolts (H3) to connect, tightening with Allen Key (H6).
Insert 1 x Foot End Cap (H5) into each Lower Post (P10 & P11).
Repeat process to attach the Mid Posts (P9), Lower Posts (P13 & P14) and Base End Panel (P12).
Insert 1 x Foot End Cap (H5) into each Lower Post (P13 & P14).
Attach the Side Rails (P15 & P16) to the Lower Posts (P10, P11, P13 & P14) using 8 x Bolts
(H1), tightening with Allen Key (H6).

Attach the 84 x Connectors (H4) to the 42 x Slats (H8).
Attach the 21 x Slats (H8) to Side Rails (P15 & P16).
You will need to press down firmly for the connectors to slot into the holes on the side rails.

Attach the Top Post (P2 & P3) to Top End Panel (P1) using 4 x Bolts (H3) to connect, tightening
with the Allen Key (H6). Repeat previous step for other Top Posts (P4 & P5).
Attach the Front Guard Rail (P6) to the Top Posts (P2 & P5) using 5 x Bolts (H1), tightening with the
Allen Key (H6).
Attach the Back Guard Rail (P7) to the Top Posts (P3 & P4) using 6 x Bolts (H1), tightening with the
Allen Key (H6).

Attach the 21 x Slats (H8) to Front Guard Rail (P6) and Back Guard Rail (P7).
You will need to press down firmly for the connectors to slot into the holes on the side rails.
With two people, carefully lift the top bed into position.
Note the location of holes for ladder.
Connect the upper bed to the Mid Posts (P9) using 8 x Bolts (H1), tightening with Allen
Key (H6).

Remove the Ladder (P17) from the bunk by loosening and removing all Bolts (H2) with the Allen Key
(H6).
Loosen and remove the Bolts (H1) in the Top Posts (P2, P3, P4 & P5) with the Allen
Key (H6).
With two people, you can then carefully lift the top bed off the Mid Posts (P9).
