1Benutzerhinweise
Die Schrittmotor-Indexer-Baugruppe Typ SPC200-SMX-1 dient
bestimmungsgemäß zur Anschaltung eines Schrittmotors an
den Smart Positioning Controller SPC200. Die Schrittmotor-
Indexer-Baugruppe stellt Anschlüsse für Referenz- und End-
schalter sowie für eine Schrittmotor-Leistungsansteuerung zur
Verfügung.
Ausführliche Informationen zum SPC200, zur Schrittmotor-Bau-
gruppe und zu elektrischen Achsen finden Sie im Bediener-
Handbuch P.BE-SPC200-.., in der Beschreibung P.BE-SPC200-
SMX-1-.. sowie in der Bedienungsanleitung zur elektrischen Li-
nearachse Typ DGE(L)-...
VORSICHT:
Beachten Sie unbedingt die dort aufgeführten:
– Sicherheitstechnischen Hinweise
– den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch der jeweiligen
Baugruppen und Module.

WARNUNG:
Aktoren können ungewollt aktiviert und der SPC200 beschä-
digt werden, wenn Baugruppen bei eingeschalteter
Spannungsversorgung hinzugefügt oder entfernt werden.
Schalten Sie vor Installations- und Wartungsarbeiten folgen-
de Energiequellen in folgender Reihenfolge ab:
1. Druckluftversorgung
2. Alle Last- und Betriebsspannungsversorgungen am
SPC200 und den angeschlossenen Komponenten
des Positioniersystems.

2Ein- und Ausbau von Baugruppen
VORSICHT:
Unsachgemäße Handhabung kann zur Beschädigung der
Baugruppen führen.
• Berühren Sie keine Bauelemente.
• Beachten Sie die Handhabungsvorschriften für elektro-
statisch gefährdete Bauelemente.
• Entladen Sie sich vor dem Ein- oder Ausbau von Bau-
gruppen elektrostatisch, zum Schutz der Baugruppen vor
Entladung statischer Elektrizität.
Verschließen Sie freibleibende Steckplätze mit Blindfrontplatten
(Typ SPC200-PB). Dadurch wird die Schutzart IP 20 erreicht.
Es können, abhängig von den zur Verfügung stehenden Steck-
plätzen, bis zu 3 Schrittmotor-Indexer-Baugruppen in einen
Baugruppenträger installiert werden.
HINWEIS:
Montieren Sie die Schrittmotor-Indexer-Baugruppe mit minde-
stens einem Steckplatz Abstand zur Diagnose-Baugruppe
SPC200-MMI-DIAG, sofern Sie ein Bedienfeld nutzen.
Baugruppen ausbauen
1. Druckluftversorgung und Betriebsspannung abschalten.
2. Anschlußkabel auf der Baugruppenfront lösen und abziehen.
3. Beide Sicherungshebel durch Verschieben entriegeln (siehe
folgendes Bild).
4. Baugruppe an der Frontplatte fassen und herausziehen.
5. Ggf. freibleibende Steckplätze mit Blindplatten verschließen.

Schrittmotor-Indexer-Baugruppe einbauen
1. Druckluftversorgung und Betriebsspannungsversorgung ab-
schalten.
2. Baugruppe an der Frontplatte fassen und in die Führungs-
schiene einschieben. Achten Sie darauf, daß Sie die Bau-
gruppe beim Einschieben nicht verkanten und keine Bauteile
auf der Leiterplatte beschädigt werden.
3. Achten Sie darauf, daß die Stecker der Messerleisten richtig
aufeinander liegen. Schieben Sie die Baugruppe dann mit
leichtem Druck vollständig ein. Daraufhin verriegeln die Si-
cherungshebel selbsttätig.

3Installation
WARNUNG:
Verwenden Sie nur Netzteile, die eine sichere elektrische
Trennung der Betriebsspannung nach IEC 742/EN 60742/
VDE 0551 mit mindestens 4 kV Isolationsfestigkeit gewähr-
leisten (Protected Extra-Low Voltage, PELV). Schaltnetzteile
sind zulässig, wenn sie die sichere Trennung im Sinne der
EN 60950/VDE 0805 gewährleisten.
HINWEIS:
Verbinden Sie den Erdungsanschluß des Baugruppenträgers
niederohmig (kurze Leitung mit großem Querschnitt) mit
dem Erdpotential.

Beschaltung Sensorstecker (Anschluß SIGNALS, X31)
HINWEIS:
Beachten Sie die verschiedenen Ausführungen der Kontakte
für die Endschalter und den Referenzschalter.

Die Genauigkeit des Referenzpunkts hängt vom verwendeten
Referenzschalter ab. Verwenden Sie einen Referenzschalter,
dessen Umschaltpunkt innerhalb einer Schrittauflösung liegt.

Die Bezeichnung der Anschlüsse bezieht sich auf die Leistungs-
ansteuerungen aus den Festo Antriebspaketen.
Verwenden Sie zum Anschluß der Leistungsansteuerung z.B.
das zugehörige Kabel von Festo, Typ KSMX-SM5-...
Verbinden Sie den Kabelschirm auf beiden Seiten mit dem
Steckergehäuse, wenn ein selbstkonfektioniertes Kabel verwen-
den.

1User instructions
Stepping motor indexer module type SPC200-SMX-1 has been
designed for interfacing a stepping motor to the SPC200 Smart
Positioning Controller. The stepping motor indexer module pro-
vides connections for reference switches and end switches, as
well as as for a stepping motor power controller.
Detailed information on the SPC200, on the stepping motor
indexer module and on electric axes can be found in the user
manual P.BE-SPC200-..., in manual P.BE-SPC200-SMX-1-... as
well as in the operating instructions for the electrical linear axis
type DGE(L)-... .
CAUTION
Pay strict attention to the following instructions shown
therein:
– safety guidelines
– specifications for the use of the individual modules
and components.
More information on electrical positioning systems can be found
in the manual P.BE-ATP-... .
WARNING
Actuators may be activated unintentionally and the SPC200
may be damaged if components are added or removed
when the power supply is switched on. Before undertaking
installation or maintenance work, switch off the following
power supplies in the sequence listed:
1. the compressed air supply
2. all load voltages and operating voltages for the SPC200
and for the connected components of the positioning
system.

2Fitting and removing the modules
CAUTION
Modules can be damaged by incorrect handling.
• Do not touch any of the components.
• Observe the regulations for handling components which
are affected by electrostatic charges.
• Discharge yourself electrostatically before fitting or
removing modules, in order to protect the components
against discharges of static electricity.
Seal unused locations with blind front plates (type SPC200-PB).
This complies with protection class IP 20. Depending on the
number of locations available, up to 3 stepping motor indexer
modules can be fitted into a rack.
PLEASE NOTE
If you are using an operating panel, fit the stepping motor in-
dexer module in the rack with at least one free slot between
it and the diagnostic module type SPC200-MMI-DIAG.
Removing the modules
1. Switch off the operating voltage and the compressed air
supply.
2. Loosen and remove the connecting cable on the front of the
module.
3. Unlock both safety catches by pushing them aside (see
following diagram).
4. Grip the module by the front plate and pull it out.
5. Any unused slots should be sealed with blind plates.

Fitting the stepping motor indexer module
1. Switch off the compressed air supply and the operating volt-
age.
2. Grasp the module by the front plate and push it into the
guide rail. Be careful not to tilt the module when sliding it
into the slot and make sure that none of the components on
the printed circuit board are damaged.
3. Make sure that the pins on the connectors are correctly
aligned. Then with a light pressure of the fingers push the
module in as far as it will go. The safety catches will then
lock automatically.

3Installation
WARNING
Use only power units which guarantee reliable isolation of
the operating voltages as per IEC 742 / EN 60742 / VDE
0551 with at least 4 kV isolation resistance (protected extra
low voltage, PELV). Switch power packs are permitted if
they guarantee reliable isolation in accordance with EN
60950 / VDE 0805.
PLEASE NOTE
Connect the earthing connection of the rack with low impe-
dance to the earth potential (short cable with large cross-
sectional area).

The designation of the pins refers to the power controllers from the
Festo drive packages.
Use the appropriate cable, type KSMX-SM5-... , from Festo for
connecting the power controller to the control plug.
If you are using a ready-made cable, connect the cable
screening on both sides to the plug housing.
