1Benutzerhinweise
Der SPC-10 dient bestimmungsgemäß in Verbindung mit einem
Pneumatischen Linearantrieb Typ DGP(L)-..., einem Linearpo-
tentiometer Typ MLO-POT-...-TFL und einem Proportional-
Wegeventil Typ MPYE-5-... zum schnellen Fahren zwischen
zwei einstellbaren Festanschlägen mit elektronisch geregelter
Dämpfung.
Ausführliche Informationen zum SPC-10, insbesondere über zu-
lässige Ventil-Zylinder-Potentiometer-Kombinationen finden Sie
in der Beschreibung zum SPC-10 (Typ P.BE-SPC10-...).
VORSICHT:
Diese Kurzübersicht richtet sich nur an Anwender, die mit
dem SPC-10 vertraut sind.
Beachten Sie unbedingt die sicherheitstechnischen Hinweise
in der Beschreibung zum SPC-10, Typ P.BE-SPC10-...
HINWEIS:
Schalten Sie immer zuerst die Betriebsspannungsver-
sorgung und dann erst die Druckluftversorgung ein.
Schalten Sie vor Installations- und Wartungsarbeiten folgen-
de Energiequellen gleichzeitig oder in folgender Reihenfolge
aus:
1. Druckluftversorgung
2. Betriebsspannungsversorgung des SPC-10.

3Montage und Pneumatische Installation
SPC-10 mit beiliegenden Haltewinkeln senkrecht oder waag-
recht auf einer ebenen Fläche montieren. Hierzu mindestens 3
Schrauben (M4) verwenden.
Druckluft / Wartungseinheit
•5 bis 7 bar, trocken, ungeölt, 5 µm-Filterpatrone
•Max. Druckluftschwankung am MPYE-5-... +/- 1 bar
•Ausreichend großer Normalnenndurchfluß
(Richtwert: 2-facher Normalnenndurchfluß des Ventils)
•Feinstfilter, wenn geringer Ölnebel nicht zu vermeiden.
Proportional-Wegeventil (Typ MPYE-5-...)
•Montage und Verschlauchung symmetrisch zur Zylindermitte.
Auf bewegten Teilen MPYE-5-... quer zur Bewegungsrich-
tung montieren.
•Schalldämpfer mit großem Nenndurchfluß (z. B. U-1/8) mon-
tieren, Schlauchlänge max. 1 m.
Druckluftschläuche und Verschraubungen
•Verschlauchung Ventil-Zylinder symmetrisch ausführen:
Schlauchlänge = Zylinderlänge
•Dimensionierung entsprechend Nenngröße von Wartungs-
einheit, Proportional-Wegeventil und Zylinder
•Wenn Winkelverschraubungen nicht vermeidbar, Steckver-
schraubungen aus der Quick Star-Reihe verwenden
•Keine Drosseln in der Zuluftleitung verwenden.

5Inbetriebnahme
VORSICHT:
Um Schäden durch ungedämpfte Fahrt in die Endlagen zu
vermeiden, bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme, nach Verstellen
der Festanschläge, Verstellen der DIL-Schalter oder Aus-
tausch von Komponenten wie folgt vorgehen.
1. Sicherstellen, daß:
•Druckluft und Spannungsversorgung abgeschaltet sind
•an den Eingängen A und B ein 0-Signal anliegt
•die maximale Massenlast montiert ist
•die Festanschläge korrekt montiert sind.
2. DIL-Schalter entsprechend der verwendeten Ventil-Zylinder-
kombination und Massenlast einstellen (siehe Beschreibung
zum SPC-10, Typ P.BE-SPC10-...). Darauf achten, daß die
Schalter sicher niedergedrückt sind.
3. Betriebsspannungsversorgung einschalten. Initialisierung des
SPC-10 abwarten (ca. 3 s).
4. Anschließend die Druckluftversorgung einschalten. Der Ven-
tilschieber nimmt die Mittelstellung ein. Der Schlitten kann
sich langsam in eine Endlage bewegen.
5. TEACH-Taste mindestens 2 Sekunden gedrückt halten, bis
Teach-Vorgang startet. Beim Teach-Vorgang verfährt der
SPC-10 selbsttätig den Schlitten und ermittelt so die Position
der Festanschläge sowie individuelle Eigenschaften des Zy-
linders.
Während des Teach-Vorgangs blinkt die ERROR-LED. Nach Er-
löschen der ERROR-LED zunächst einige Fahrbewegungen
durchführen (siehe Abschnitt 6).

6Hinweise für den Betrieb
VORSICHT:
Um Schäden durch ungedämpfte Fahrt in die Endlagen zu
vermeiden:
- nach Verstellen der Festanschläge, Verstellen der DIL-
Schalter oder Austausch von Komponenten Inbetrieb-
nahme erneut durchführen
- zulässige Massenlast einhalten.
Schlitten gemäß folgender Tabelle steuern:
Ein-/Ausgang Beschreibung
Ausgang A Liefert 1-Signal, wenn Schlitten in Endlage A
(Potentiometeranschluß).
Ausgang B Liefert 1-Signal, wenn Schlitten in Endlage B
(gegenüber Potentiometeranschl.)
Eingang B 1-Signal (min. 20 ms) erteilt Fahrauftrag nach B
(wenn an Eingang A 0-Signal)
Eingang A 1-Signal (min. 20 ms) erteilt Fahrauftrag nach A
(wenn an Eingang B 0-Signal)
Ein Richtungswechsel während der Fahrt ist jederzeit möglich.
Fahrverhalten verbessert sich nach ca. 10 bis 20 Hüben selbst-
tätig (Adaption). Weiteres Optimieren des Fahrverhaltens:
•Prüfen des Systemaufbaus, Druckluftspeicher bei Druck-
schwankungen, Verändern des Versorgungsdrucks
•Anpassen der DIL-Schaltereinstellung
•Zur Reduzierung der Geschwindigkeit evtl. Drosseln in Ab-
luftleitung des MPYE-5-... einbauen.

1User instructions
The SPC-10 is designed for use in conjunction with a pneu-
matic linear drive type DGP(L)-..., a linear potentiometer type
MLO-POT-...-TFL and a proportional directional control valve
type MPYE-5-... for fast movement between two adjustable
fixed stops with electronically regulated cushioning.
More detailed information on the SPC-10, especially on the per-
mitted valve-cylinder-potentiometer combinations can be found
in the user manual for the SPC-10 (type P.BE-SPC10-...).
CAUTION
This quick reference is directed to users who are familiar
with the SPC-10.
You must observe the safety regulations specified in the
manual for the SPC-10, type P.BE-SPC10-...
PLEASE NOTE
Always switch on the operating voltage supply first and then
the compressed air supply.
Before undertaking installation and/or maintenance work,
switch off the following sources of energy either at the same
time or in the sequence indicated.
1. the compressed air supply
2. the operating voltage supply for the SPC-10.

3Fitting and installing the pneumatic components
Mount the SPC-10 horizontally or vertically on a level surface
with the aid of the support brackets supplied. You will require at
least 3 screws (M4) here.
Compressed air / service unit
•5 to 7 bar, dried, non-lubricated 5 µm filter element
•Max. deviation in compressed air at the MPYE-5-... +/- 1 bar
•Sufficient standard flow (reference value: twice the standard
flow of the valve)
•Microfilter if slight oil mist cannot be avoided.
Proportional directional control valve (type MPYE-5-...)
•This should be fitted and connected up symmetrically to the
centre of the cylinder. If fitted to moving parts, the
MPYE-5-... should be mounted at right angles to the
direction of movement.
•Fit silencers with large rated flow (e.g. U-1/8), maximum
length of tubing 1 m.
Compressed air tubing and screw connectors
•Lay the tubing from the valve to the cylinder symmetrically.
Tubing length = cylinder length.
•Dimensions corresponding to rated size of the service unit,
the proportional directional control valve and the cylinder.
•If angled connectors cannot be avoided, use plug
connectors from the Quick Star series.
•Do not use any restrictors in the supply tubing.

Cylinder (only type DGPL-...-...-KF or type DGP-... with suitable
guide) and linear potentiometer (only type MLO-POT-...-TFL)
•Use only permitted cylinder-potentiometer combinations
(same stroke length, cylinder with bilateral air supply).
•Fitting is only permitted in a horizontal or a vertical position.
•Loosen completely the adjusting screws for the end position
cushioning (PPV).
•Fit the potentiometer so that it is symmetrical to the centre of
the cylinder and electrically isolated.
•Fit the cylinder, the guide and the potentiometer parallel and
free of play in the direction of movement.
•In dusty or dirty environments fit the potentiometer with the
actuating slide facing downwards.
Fixed stops (with cylinders of type DGPL-... e.g. type KYP-...
without shock absorber)
•Limit the working stroke with fixed stops so that it does not
extend into the range of the internal end position cushioning
(PPV).
Mass load
•Fasten the mass load to the slide without play.

4Installing the electrical components
Install the electrical components as shown in the diagram
below. Use only the original cables specified.

5Commissioning
CAUTION:
To avoid damage caused by uncushioned movement into
the end positions during the first commissioning, after
modification to the fixed stops, adjustment of the DIL
switches or when components are replaced, proceed
as follows:
1. Make sure that:
•the compressed air and the power supply are switched off
•there is a 0-signal at inputs A and B
•the maximum mass load is placed on the slide
•the fixed stops are fitted correctly.
2. Set the DIL switch according to the valve-cylinder combinati-
on and mass load used (see manual for the SPC-10, type
P.BE-SPC10-...). Make sure that the switches are pressed
down.
3. Switch on the operating voltage. Wait for the initialization of
the SPC-10 (approximately 3 s).
4. Then switch on the compressed air supply. The valve slide
assumes the mid-position. The slide can move slowly into
one of the end positions.
5. Hold the TEACH key pressed down at least 2 seconds until
the Teach process starts. During the Teach process the
SPC-10 moves the slide automatically and thus determines
the position of the fixed stops as well as individual charac-
teristics of the cylinder.
During the Teach process the ERROR LED flashes. When the
ERROR LED goes out, carry out a few positioning movements
(see section 6).

6Instructions for operation
CAUTION:
To avoid damage by moving into fixed stops without
cushioning:
- Carry out commissioning again after modifying the fixed
stops, adjusting the DIL switches or replacing components
- use only the permitted mass load.
Control the slide as indicated in the following table
Input/output Description
Output A Supplies a 1-signal when slide is in end position A
(potentiometer connection)
Output B Supplies a 1-signal when slide is in end position B
(opposite potentiometer connection)
Input B 1-Signal (min. 20 ms) sends command to move to B
(if there is an 0-signal at input A)
Input A 1-Signal (min. 20 ms) sends command to move to A
(if there is an 0-signal at input B)
Change of direction is possible at any time during positioning.
The positioning behaviour improves automatically after
approximately 10 to 20 strokes (adaption). Optimize the
positioning behaviour as follows:
•Check the system structure; compressed air reservoir during
fluctuations in pressure; modify the supply pressure
•Modify the DIL switch setting accordingly
•If necessary, fit restrictors in the exhaust tubing of the
MPYE-5-... in order to reduce the speed.

dor lineal neumático tipo DGP(L)-..., un potenciómetro lineal
tipo MLO-POT-...-TLF y una válvula distribuidora de control pro-
porcional tipo MPYE-5-... para un movimiento rápido entre dos
topes firmes regulables, con regulación electrónica de la amorti-
guación.

POR FAVOR, OBSERVAR
Aplicar siempre primero la tensión de alimentación y a conti-
nuación el aire comprimido.
Antes de realizar trabajos de instalación y/o mantenimiento,
desconectar las siguientes fuentes de energía; al mismo
tiempo o en la secuencia indicada:
1. la alimentación del aire comprimido
