For best performance, we recommend
replacing the batteries that came with
this toy with three new “AA” (LR6)
alkaline batteries.
•Locate the battery compartment on
the bottom of the toy.
•Loosen the screw in the battery compart-
ment door with a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the battery compartment door.
•Insert three “AA” (LR6) alkaline
batteries, as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
Hint: We recommend using alkaline
batteries for longer battery life.
•Replace the battery compartment door
and tighten the screw with a Phillips
screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
• When sounds or lights from this toy
become faint or stop, it's time for an adult
to change the batteries!
Battery Safety Information
Batteries may leak fluids that can cause a
chemical burn injury or ruin your toy.
To avoid battery leakage:
•Do not mix old and new batteries or
batteries of different types: alkaline,
standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium).
•Insert batteries as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
•Remove batteries during long periods
of non-use. Always remove exhausted
batteries from the toy. Dispose of
batteries safely. Do not dispose of
batteries in a fire. The batteries may
explode or leak.
•Never short circuit the battery terminals.
•Use only batteries of the same or
equivalent type, as recommended.
•Do not charge non-rechargeable
batteries.
•Remove rechargeable batteries from the
toy before charging.
•If removable, rechargeable batteries are
used, they are only to be charged under
adult supervision.

•To change modes, slide the mode switch to one of the three positions: learning ;
off or musical fun .
•Slide the mode switch to Learning
Fun .
•When a page is turned, your child
receives a greeting from the friendly
character and is invited to learn about
the pictures. Turn the pages to learn
about animals, vehicles, nature or
foods.
• When your child turn the last page, a
surprise bookmark pops up.
Hint: To reset the bookmark, turn back
the pages, then press the bookmark
back into the book.
•When your child moves the toggle,
spinner, rollers or slider, the character
identifies the nearest picture along with
a fun sound effect and flashing lights.
•Slide the mode switch to Music Fun .
•When a page is turned, your child
receives a greeting from the friendly
character and is invited to learn about
the pictures. Turn the pages to hear
tunes about animals, vehicles, nature or
foods.
• When your child turn the last page, a

•Set the volume switch on the bottom of the toy to low or high volume.
Hint: If your child is not actively playing with this toy, it turns off automatically
(sleep mode).
•When your child is finished playing with this toy, slide the mode switch to the
off position .
