G n ral Op rating Instructions
1. Always use fresh batter and do not allow it to warm up too much.
2. During op ration, fr qu nt cl aning with a soft-bristl d brush and r -s asoning th grids as
n d d, will nsur a gr at tasting product.
3. L av th grids in th clos d position wh n v r possibl (op n grids caus xc ssiv
carbon build-up).
4. If th bak r is not b ing going to b us d within 20-30 minut s, turn th unit off.
5. DO NOT apply b swax, paraffin, or any oth r wax s to grid surfac s.
Pr -h ating th Unit
1. Flip th Pow r Switch to th ON Position. (Th R d Light will turn ON and stay on whil th
machin is in op ration.)
2. Th Gr n Light will turn ON indicating th machin is h ating. Wh n th Gr n Light go s
OFF, th unit has r ach d th corr ct t mp ratur and you can b gin baking.
Note: Th Gr n Indicator Light will continu to cycl OFF/ON during th baking op ration.
Grid S asoning
COATED (Non-Stick) Grids: Aft r th initial s asoning of a n w unit, coat d grids do not n d to b
s ason d r gularly. D p nding on usag , or if coat d grids hav b n scour d in th cl aning
proc ss, a v ry light spray of S as'n-Kl n may b n d d prior to th n xt us . Follow th st ps
b low to initially s ason n w grids. DO NOT us m tallic ut nsils on coat d grids.
NON-COATED Grids: Prior to first us of a n w bak r, non-coat d grids must b s ason d for at l ast 1½
to 2 hours for prop r op ration. Spray grids with S as'n-Kl n; clos th bak r and wait 20 to 30
minut s. Op n th bak r; notic th grids ar starting to turn dark. R p at this proc ss 3 to 4
tim s until fully s ason d. No silv r will b visibl on fully s ason d grids.
To Season Baker Grids: Follow th st ps b low to s ason bak r grids prior to start-up for th day (and for
th initial s asoning of coat d grids):
1. Flip th Pow r Switch to th ON position and allow th bak r to pr -h at.
2. Op n grids and lightly spray S as'n-Kl n (Gold M dal It m No. 5524CN) on th grid surfac s.
3. Clos th bak r, s t tim r to 3 minut s, and allow th grids to s ason through on cook cycl
without product. (Always turn th Tim r Knob past 3, th n s t th d sir d cooking tim .)
4. If sticking occurs during bak r op ration, lightly r -spray S as'n-Kl n on th grid surfac s.

1. Plac 40 oz. of wat r into a bowl and add (1) 5 lb. bag of mix.
2. Stir with wir whisk until smooth.
3. R st batt r 10 minut s.
4. A 2 oz. ladl mak s on 8 inch con (on cup mak s 5 con s).

Note: Th digital bak r has a pr s t cooking t mp ratur of 385°F (196°C), and cook tim of
1 minut (1:00). To chang th s s ttings, s Changing Cook Tim and T mp ratur
S t Point s ction of this manual.
