This model uses locating tabs to posi-
tively locate the logs with respect to the
grate assembly. Fireplace may have
method A or B for a grate assembly as
shown.Determinewhichgratefrompic-
tures below when installing log #2.
Please refer to grate assembliesA& B.
LOG NUMBER 1 (SRV768-701): Place log #1 onto the grate. Push log back until it rests against
locating tabs B and D. Slide the log all the way to the left until the notches on the bottom of the log contact the
grate bars.

LOG NUMBER 3 (SRV768-705): Position log #3 onto grate such that tab E fits into slot on bottom
surface of log. Push down until log is sitting flat on grate.
Method A (see page 1): Position log #2 onto grate such that tabsA and C fit into the slots on bottom
surface of log. Slide the log all the way to the left. Then push the right front corner of the log forward until
there is 0.75 in. between the front right corner of the log and the grate.

Method B (see page 1): Position log #2 onto grate such that tabs A fits into slot on bottom surface
of log and tab C and rest against back side of log. Slide the log all the way to the left.

LOG NUMBER 2 (SRV768-704):

LOG NUMBER 4 (SRV582-705): Place log #4 across both flat spots on log #1 and log #3, with the
“Y” in log #4 placed on log #1. The back of log #4 should make contact with the back of the firebox.
