Care and Maintenance
With regular care and maintenance, your
Herman Miller Setu Chair will provide
many years of superior performance and
satisfaction. To maintain the quality of your
Herman Miller product, please follow the
cleaning procedures outlined here.
Base, Frame, Kinematic Spine™, and Arms
Normal Cleaning
Wash surface with a socloth soaked in mild detergent and
warm water.
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a socloth.
Do not use solvents or abrasive kitchen cleaners.
Lyris 2™Suspension Material
Normal Cleaning
Vacuum fabric as needed using an upholstery attachment.
Vacuuming picks up dust and reduces the need for professional
cleaning.
Do not brush fabric or use a vacuum attachment with a
rotary brush.
Brushing may permanently damage the nap or change the
character of the fabric.
Do not apply water or any liquid solution.
Wetting the fabric with any liquid solution may result in permanent
damage.

Spot Cleaning
Immediately wipe up the stain with a soabsorbent cloth.
Do not dry the stain completely or it may set.
The longer a stain is allowed to remain on a fabric, the more
dicult it is to remove.
Water-based Stains such as coee, sodrinks, fruit juices,
or milk
Use a water-based cleaner (specically made for cleaning fabric)
or a solution of mild (alkaline) warm soapy water (not overly
soapy) applied with a damp clean cloth or sponge.
Work the cleaner into a lather or foam.
Soak up all remaining solution and then use a clean cloth or
sponge dipped in cool water to remove any residue.
Never use hot water; it will set the stain. Avoid scrubbing.
Oil-based Stains such as lipstick, grease, or salad dressing
Use a dry cleaning solution applied with a damp clean cloth
or sponge.
Test the cleaning solution on a small, concealed area rst.
If there is no spotting, ringing, or damage to the fabric or its dyes,
apply the cleaning solution to the soiled area with light, quick
strokes.
Begin at the outside of the stain and work toward the center,
being careful not to over-saturate the fabric.
KR is also a product that can be used. See product label for
complete instructions.
Do not over apply water or any liquid solution to fabric.
Excessive wetting of the fabric with any liquid solution may result
in permanent damage to the material.
Do not rub too vigorously or you may damage the nap of the
fabric or break bers.
Several light applications are better than one heavy application.
Soak up all remaining solution and then use another clean cloth
or sponge dipped in cool water to remove any residue.
Let fabric dry thoroughly and then vacuum well before using.
If the stain resists cleaning, contact a professional cleaner.
Large Areas
If large areas are soiled, contact a professional cleaning rm.
Seating Fabrics
Normal Cleaning

Normální čištění - omyjte povrch měkkým hadříkem namočeným ve slabém
roztoku saponátu a teplé vody. Důkladněopláchněte a osušte měkkým hadříkem.
Nepoužívejte rozpouštědla ani abrazivní kuchyňské čisticí prostředky.
Lyris 2™ Suspension
Běžné čištění
Vysávejte textilie podle potřeby nástavcem na čalounění. Vysávání odstraňuje
prach a snižuje potřebu pro profesionální čištění.
Nekartáčujte textilie ani nepoužívejte vysavačs rotačním kartáčem. Kartáčování
může trvale poškodit vlákna nebo změnit charakter tkaniny. Nepoužívejte vodu ani
jiné tekutiny, mohlo by to vést k trvalému poškození tkaniny.
Čištění skvrn
Okamžitěsetřete skvrnu měkkým savým hadříkem. Nesušte skvrnu úplně, mohla
by zůstat natrvalo. Čím déle je skvrna na tkanině, tím obtížněji se odstraňuje.
Na skvrny na vodní bázi jako je káva, nealkoholické nápoje, ovocné šťávy, nebo
mléko použijte čisticí prostředek na bázi vody (speciálněvyrobené pro čištění
textilie) nebo roztok jemné (alkalické) teplé mýdlové vody (ne přílišmýdlové),
aplikuje vlhkým čistým hadříkem nebo houbičkou do vzniku pěny.
Nikdy nepoužívejte horkou vodu; skvrna by zůstala natrvalo. Vyhněte se drhnutí.
Na skvrny na bázi oleje, jako je rtěnka, tuk, nebo salátová zálivka použijte roztok
pro suché čištění aplikovanývlhkým čistým hadříkem nebo houbičkou. Čisticí
roztok jeprve vyzkoušejte na malé skryté oblasti. Pokud roztok testovanou oblast
nijak nepoškodil, můžete jej použít na na znečištěné plochy lehkými, rychlými tahy.
Začněte na vnější straněskvrny a pracujte směrem do středu, dávejte pozor, aby
se tkanina přílišnepromáčela.
Můžete také použít výrobek K2R podle návodu na etiketě.
Nepoužívejte na tkaninu přílišmnoho vody ani jiné tekutiny. Promáčení by mohlo
způsobit trvalé poškození materiálu.
Nedrhněte přílišsilně, mohlo by tak dojít k poškození osnovy tkaniny nebo zlomení
vláken.
Vždy je lepší několik jemných aplikací nežjedna důkladná.
Vysajte veškerýzbylýroztok a pak použijte jinýčistýhadřík nebo houbičku
namočené ve studené vodě, abyste odstranili případné zbytky. Nechte tkaninu
zaschnout a pak před použitím dobře vysajte vysavačem.
