If there are any leftovers from the previous sandwiches on the heating
panels, you can remove it using a wooden, plastic or silicone spatula
(intended to be used with Teflon) or a paper towel, remembering the fact that
the heating panels are very hot!
1. Grease the heating panels with fat (rapeseed oil, sunflower oil,
clarified butter) using a paper towel or kitchen brush.
2. Close the cover and close the latch.
3. Plug the device into a power outlet. The red power light should light
up.
4. Prepare the sandwiches you wish to toast.
5. When the device reaches the temperature optimal for operation, the
green standby lamp lights up.
6. Open the latch and raise the top of the device until the opening
limiter engages. The upper part should not fall down.
7. Place the prepared sandwiches on the heating panels.
8. Gently lower the upper part of the device by holding the handle and
secure with the latch. If needed press the upper part of the device to
close it.
9. Check the state of the sandwiches by gently lifting the top part of
the sandwich after opening the latch.
10.Once you have reached the right baking level, gently remove the
sandwiches using a wooden, plastic or silicone spatula (intended to
be used with Teflon).
11. If you're preparing more sandwiches, close the lid so that it heats up
to the optimal temperature, as indicated by the green standby light.
12. When the sandwiches have finished toasting, close the dispenser
and unplug the dispenser from the wall outlet.
13. Clean the sandwich maker when it cools down.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
If the sandwich filling is moist or contains a lot of moisture (in tomatoes,
mushrooms) the bread may soften - then use thicker slices or bread with
a more compact structure (wholemeal, graham, etc.).
When roasting sweet-filled sandwiches, gently sprinkle powdered sugar
or other fine sugar on the surface of the sandwiches to make the crust
more crispy.
