About the System
Introduction
Congratulations on your ownership of a Honeywell Galaxy TouchCenter Plus keypad. With clear, simple controls on a touch-screen interface,
Galaxy TouchCenter Plus is both easy to learn and easy to use.
System Interface
Equipped with WiFi capability, the Galaxy TouchCenter Plus can be retrofitted into home electronics devices and systems without interference from
common household wireless electronics.
Features
This system offers you burglary protection. To realise the full potential of the system, it is important that you feel comfortable operating it. Your
system will comprise one of the following keypads and the wall mount plastics:
•CP045-00 Galaxy TouchCenter Plus flush mount
•CP046-00 Galaxy TouchCenter Plus flush mount, with Prox
•A045 Wall mount plastics for Galaxy TouchCenter Plus
The system uses microcomputer technology to monitor all zones, and provides appropriate information for display on the keypad. Your system may
also have been programmed to automatically transmit alarm or status messages over the phone lines or Ethernet, or wirelessly over GSM to a central
alarm monitoring station.

Navigating through the Galaxy TouchCenter Plus Keypad
Navigation through the Galaxy TouchCenter Plus Keypad typically begins on the Home screen. This is the main default screen (starting screen) and
is the first screen you see when you power up and initialise the keypad. It is on this screen that you make menu selections. Once you have made your
selection, you can navigate through various sub-menus by pressing graphical icons to perform the function you desire.
About the Home Screen
The Home screen is the gateway to your system. On this screen you can:
•control your security system
•control your multi-media applications, such as video, pictures and cameras
The Home screen is displayed most of the time and can be customised via the Multimedia
application.
The background and icons shown on the Home screen in this manual are for
example only. Your system installer may have changed the actual background and
icons shown on your Home screen.
Multimedia Application
The Picture/Video (Audio) features allow you to display personal photos (in a slide show format) and video files, which must be loaded into the
keypad by your installer via an external SD/SDHC card before the unit is fastened in place. It is recommended that you use the SD/SDHC card
supplied with the keypad.
In everyday handling, memory cards can become susceptible to malfunction and/or failure due to electrostatic discharges and the information on the
card may be lost.
Note: Honeywell is not responsible for any loss of personal information (files, photos, video etc.)
Control
If configured by your installer the TouchCenter Plus can be used to control building systems such as lighting, air conditioning and gates. To operate,
press the Control icon. You will then see one or more switch icons on the screen.

To aid navigation through the TouchCenter Plus WIFI screens, a set of user-friendly icons is provided. The appearance and function of these icons is
described below.

System Troubles
The Security screen also displays an icon(s) next to each trouble in a table. If a trouble icon is shown, contact your alarm company. The following
icons may be shown as applicable to your system:
ICON MEANING
AC Loss – The system is not receiving AC power
Low Battery – The battery that powers the system during an AC power loss is low or an RF device has a low battery
Comms Line Fail – The communications module has a line fail
Device Alarm – There is an alarm on the device shown
Zone Trouble – There is a zone fault
Tamper Alarm or Fault – There is a tamper alarm on the device shown or it is faulty
Note: When there are multiple faults you can use the up and down arrows next to the fault table to scroll through the list of faults.
User Codes
Each user must be assigned a name with a corresponding 4 to 6 digit User PIN in order to gain access to authorised features and functions. Users of
the system are programmed in a central user setup location that provides the specific questions for authorisation level, and group assignment.

Security
Introduction to Security System Operation
You can set your system in one of eight modes: Timed Set, Instant Set, Part Set, Silent, All Set, Home Set, Force Set and Omit Set, all of which are
described below.

system is unset.

How to Set the System
Setting the system in any mode is performed in the same way.
Note: When setting, ensure that all the areas protected by movement detectors are free from obstructions and all doors and windows are secured.
To set the system:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. Do one of the following:
a) Present a valid Prox tag at the reader for 3 seconds.
b) On the Home screen, press the Security icon, enter a
valid PIN (Personal Identification Number) code,
and then press ent .
Any faults on the system will be displayed now.
2. Select the required setting option ( Timed Set is
standard and the More Sets icon offers a further
five setting options).
3. Exit the building while the exit tone is sounding. A
double beep confirms setting completion.
When any set option is selected, other than silent, the keypad emits a
long beep followed by 2 short beeps.
When the system is set for Silent, no beeps are emitted.
When the exit delay time expires, the screen automatically returns to
the Home screen and indicates the system is set (only when EN50131
is off).
Sometimes there will be alarms, faults or tampers that stop the system
from setting, which cannot be cleared or reset as described in the next
two procedures. In some cases it is possible to temporarily override
these events to allow the system to set.
When attempting to set the system, any outstanding condition will be
displayed. If it is possible to override the condition, the Override icon is
displayed.
Press Continue to override that particular condition and continue the
set procedure. If the Override icon is not displayed, contact your
installer to investigate and rectify the problem.

To cancel an alarm, fault or tamper:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. On the Home screen, press the Security icon.
2. Enter a valid PIN (Personal Identification Number)
code, and then press ent .
The buzzer will be silenced and the cause of the
activation will be displayed.
Any alarm, fault or tamper condition that has not been cleared is shown
each time a PIN is entered. When the condition is first activated, you
are alerted by the keypad buzzer.
Note: After an alarm, fault or tamper has occurred the system must be reset in order to be used again.
To reset the system after an alarm, fault or tamper:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. Clear the cause of the alarm, fault or tamper. (A call to
your installer may be required)
2. On the Home screen, press the Security icon.
3. Enter a valid PIN (Personal Identification Number)
code, and then press ent .
4. On the keypad, view the alarm, fault or tamper
conditions.
5. Press the Reset icon.
If the condition has cleared and your PIN has sufficient
authority then the alarm, fault or tamper is reset.

How to Set a System with Groups
On systems that have several independent groups (areas), it is possible to perform combination sets and unsets.
Note: Some systems may not have groups, in which case the Group List screen is not displayed.
To set groups:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. Do one of the following:
a) Present a valid Prox tag at the reader for 3 seconds.
b) On the Home screen, press the Security icon, enter
a valid PIN (Personal Identification Number) code,
and then press ent .
Any faults on the system will be displayed now (see
How to Set the System ).
2. Press the Timed Set icon. A list of the groups and their
set status is displayed.
3. Do one of the following:
a) Press any groups you wish set ( Unset changes to To
Set ), and press the tick icon.
b) Press Set All (the Warning – Ready to set all
groups message is displayed for a few seconds).
The Exit Time in seconds begins to countdown.
4. Exit the building while the exit tone is sounding. A
double beep confirms setting completion.
Notes:
•You may have access to some or all of the available groups.
•If your user code is accepted, the system displays the groups to
which you have access.
When exit delay time expires, the screen automatically returns to the
Home screen.

How to Display Faults
When a fault is present, ALERT is displayed at the top of the screen.
Note: In EN50131 Mode no text is displayed at the top of the screen.
To display faults, do the following:

1. On the Home screen, press the Security icon,
and then enter an authorised code.
A list of faults is displayed.
2. Take corrective action for each fault listed. You
can choose to omit any zone with a fault that
cannot be corrected in step 4.
3. Press Reset . The Security page is displayed.
Note: Any uncorrected faults remain on the list
after you press Reset .
4. If you want to omit a zone with a fault that
cannot be corrected, follow the procedure from
step 2 in How to Omit Zones on page 14.
Examples of corrective actions are closing a window or closing a door.
You can use the up and down arrows next to the faults list to scroll through
the faults.

How to Omit Zones
Use the omit function when you want to set your system with one or more zones left open. Omitted zones are unprotected and do not cause an alarm
when violated while your system is set.
To omit zones:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. On the Home screen, press the Security icon,
and then enter an authorised code.
2. Press the More Sets icon.
Note: If any zones are omitted or faulted, a Display Faults icon is also displayed
on this screen.
3. Press the Omit Set icon.
While the keypad is requesting and receiving the zone data from the control
panel, the screen displays Please Wait!. The zones, along with their current
status, are then displayed.
4. Highlight the zone(s) to be omitted and press
the Toggle Omission icon.
5. Press the Back icon to return to the Setting
screen.
How to Clear Omitted Zones
An omitted zone is automatically re-instated when you disarm the system. If a zone is omitted, you can re-instate it as follows:

While the keypad is requesting and receiving the zone data from the control
panel, the screen displays Please Wait! The zones, along with their current

How to Unset the System
The system may be unset using either of two methods. One method is employed when you enter the premises and the other is when you have been in
the premises with the system set (i.e., Part Set and Silent setting modes).
To unset the system:

1. On the Home screen, press the Security icon, and then
enter an authorised code.
2. Press the Unset icon.
The system is now unset.
How to Unset Groups
To unset Groups:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. On the Home screen, press the Security icon, and then
enter an authorised code.
2. Press the Unset icon. The Group List screen is
displayed.
3. On the Group List , do one of the following:
a) Press any group or groups with the word Set . The
word changes to To Unset .
b) Press Unset All to unset all groups listed.
4. Press the Tick icon.

How to Check the Status of Groups
This system supports between one and thirty two groups (depending on the system). Grouping enables a single physical alarm system to control up to
32 areas of protection (groups) depending on the system you have purchased.
Note: Some systems may not have groups in which case the Group List screen is not displayed.
To check the status of groups:

1. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and
then enter an authorised code.
2. Press the System Version icon.
3. Press the Group Status icon.
The status of each group is displayed.
The Group List screen is displayed.
How to View the Event Log
Your system has the ability to record various events in a history log in which each event is recorded with the time and date of its occurrence.
To view the Event Log :
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. On the Home screen, press the Security icon, and
then enter an authorised code.
2. Press the More Choices icon.
3. Press the Event Log icon. The first seven events
are displayed. Use the on screen controls to view
events in the list or to find and filter events.
There are a number of controls you can use in the events screen:
•You can filter by type of event, for example Set/Unset events only.
•You can filter events per group.
•More: use this control to toggle between event data and event data
showing the group affected.

Setup
Setup allows you to make changes to the way your keypad is operating. You may access the Brightness and Volume , Display Setup , IP Setup ,
System Setup , System Version and System Information .
Brightness and Volume Control
To change the brightness and volume :
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and then
enter an authorised code.
2. Move the Brightness and/or Volume slide bars up
or down to increase or decrease the settings.
3. Press the Save icon.
If changes are made and you exit without pressing Save the following
message is displayed:
Display settings changed. Do you want to save it?
Display Setup
You may access the following: Language , Backlight Off After time, To Homepage After time, Auto Slideshow After time and Clean Screen .
Language Selection (if applicable)
The Galaxy TouchCenter Plus can display ten different languages with the default being English.
Adjust the Screen Timeouts
When the keypad is left idle, it automatically:
•Turns the backlight off after the selected backlight off time has expired (unless the Never option is selected).
•Returns to the Home screen after the selected To Homepage After time has expired (unless Never option is selected), and
•If enabled, the Auto Slideshow After time begins the slide show.

To select the desired screen timeouts:

1. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and
then enter an authorised code.
2. Press the Display Setup icon.
3. Press the desired timeout button.
4. Use the up/down arrows to change the timeout.
5. Press the Save icon.
Note: If you make changes and exit without saving,
the Display Setup changed. Do you want to save it?
message is displayed.
Settings include:
•Backlight Off After time
•Return To Homepage After time
•Auto Slideshow After time
Notes:
•The To Homepage After default time is 2 minutes.
•When in EN50131 mode, backlight off is the only option you can change
and Auto Slideshow After is disabled.
Clean Screen
With the exception of normal cleaning the keypad is maintenance free.
To clean the touch screen:
ICON ACTION NOTES
1. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and
then enter an authorised code.
2. Press the Display Setup icon.
3. Press the Clean Screen icon.
4. Press Continue , and then wipe the screen.
When the Continue button is pressed the following message is displayed:
Touch Screen has been disabled so that you may wipe the screen
clean. Please use a damp soft cloth. DO NOT use any liquids, sprays, or
ammonia-based cleansers.
Touch Screen Disabled for ≥30 Seconds
When the counter reaches zero, the window automatically closes and the
touch screen is active.
IMPORTANT: Do not use an abrasive cleaning agent or abrasive cloth when cleaning the touch-screen or damage to the touch-screen may occur.
Routine Care
•Treat the components of your security system as you would any other electrical equipment. Do not slam sensor-protected doors or windows.
•Keep dust from accumulating on the keypad and all protective sensors, particularly on motion sensors and smoke detectors.
•Carefully dust the keypad case and sensors dry soft cloth. Do not spray water or any other fluid on the units.

System Information
To view the current software/firmware version installed on your system, do the following:

1. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and
then enter an authorised code.
2. Press the System Info icon.
The following information is displayed: MAC Address, CRC, Software version
and Firmware version.
IP Setup and Network Connections
IP Address Setup
In most cases, IP addresses are assigned automatically (the Obtain address auto setting). However, you may require a static (fixed) IP address that
can be found by accessing your router. Refer to your router instructions.
Setup a LAN Connection
On the IP Setup screen add a LAN network connection as follows:

1. Connect an Ethernet cable between the router and the
keypad and setup any video cameras.
2. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and then
enter an authorised code.
3. Press the IP Setup icon.
4. Press the LAN ON button.
5. Press the Save icon: the IP information is
automatically updated.
6. Return to the IP Setup screen. Check that the
information is displayed.
7. If the IP address is not displayed, change the Internet
Connection type to Static , and then manually enter
the necessary IP information from your router. Press
the Save icon; the IP information is automatically
updated.
A popup window displays:
This will switch off WLAN Network, do you want to continue? Yes or
No
Use the Data Entry Keyboard to enter the required information.
Press the up arrow to switch to capital letters.
•Press the Space key to add a space between characters.
•Press the xkey to delete/backspace.
•Press the ABC/.?123/Åå key to switch between numerals and
symbols/characters.
•Press Go to return to the IP Setup screen.

Setup a WIFI (WLAN) Connection
On the IP Setup screen, add a WIFI network connection as follows:

1. On the Home screen, press the Setup icon, and then
enter an authorised code.
2. Press the IP Setup icon.
3. Press the WIFI ON button.
4. Do one of the following:
a) Use the scroll bar to locate a network from the list of
Wi-Fi Networks to connect to and highlight that
field. If your router is not listed press the Refresh
icon.
b) If your router is not listed, even after refreshing the
list, scroll to the bottom of the list and select Add
Network . Highlight each field to enter the required
information for SSID, Security Mode, and
Passphrase / Shared Key on the Data Entry
Keyboard and press Go .
5. Press the Save icon. Pressing Save when changing the
port number resets the keypad.
A pop-up window displays:
This will switch off LAN Network, do you want to continue?” Yes or
No
Use the Data Entry Keyboard to enter the required information.
•Press the up arrow key to switch to capital letters.
•Press the Space key to add a space between characters.
•Press the xkey to delete/backspace.
•Press the ABC/.?123/Åå key to switch between numerals and
symbols/characters.
A pop-up window displays the message:
