1 Overview
Your Phone
The following figure shows the appearance of your phone and it

2 Getting Started
Installing the SIM Card and Battery
Ensure that the golden contact area on the SIM card is facing
downward, and the beveled corner is properly aligned with the
SIM card slot.

Removing the Battery and SIM Card
Ensure that your phone is powered off.

Charging the Battery
1. Connect the charger to the charger jack on the phone.
2. Connect the charger to an AC power socket.
3. Wait until the battery is completely charged.
During the charging, the charging icon is displaying in
animation. When the charging icon becomes static, the
battery is fully charged.
4. Disconnect the charger from the AC power socket.
5. Disconnect the charger from the phone.
Using the Function Menu
1. In the standby mode, press <LSK> (Menu) or <CSK>.
2. Press <Navi> to select the desired function menu.
3. Press <LSK> (OK) or <CSK> to display the selected menu.

4. Select a submenu and press <LSK> (OK) to display it.
You can select a submenu in either of the following ways:
zPress to select a submenu.
zPress the number key corresponding to the serial number of
a submenu.
5. Press <RSK> (Back) to return to the previous menu or exit
the function menu.
To return to the standby mode, press <END>.
Phone Lock
The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized use. By
default, the phone lock function is disabled. You can change the
default phone lock code (1122) into any numeric string in the
range of four to eight digits.
Do remember your phone lock code. If you forget it, contact the
service center.
PIN and PUK
The personal identification number (PIN) protects your SIM
card from unauthorized use. The PIN unblocking key (PUK) can
unlock the blocked PIN. Both PIN and PUK are delivered with
the SIM card. For details, consult your service provider.
If you enter wrong PINs for a specified number of times
consecutively, the phone asks you to enter the PUK.
If you enter wrong PUKs for a specified number of times
consecutively, the SIM card is invalidated permanently. Contact
your service provider for a new one.

Locking the Keypad
To lock the keypad, close the slide. To unlock the keypad, open
the slide or press <LSK> (Unlock) then <RSK> (OK) to unlock
the keypad.
If the Auto Keypad Lock function is enabled and the phone is
idle for a preset period in the standby mode, the keypad is
locked automatically.
When the keypad is locked, you can press <Send> to
answer an incoming call or make emergency calls.

3 Call Function
Making a Call
1. In the standby mode, enter the phone number.
zTo make an international call, press <*> twice consecutively
to enter the plus sign (+). Then enter the international long
distance code, country code or region code, area code, and
phone number in sequence.
zTo call an extension, enter the phone number, press <*>
three times consecutively to insert P, and then enter the
extension number.
2. Press <SEND> to dial the number.
3. Press <END> to end the call.
zYou can also make a call through call logs, contacts,
and messages.
zDuring a call, press <Vol> to adjust the volume.
Answering a Call
When there is an incoming call, you can do as follows:
zPress<SEND>, <LSK> (Answer), or <CSK> to answer it.
zPress <RSK> (Mute) to mute the speaker, and then press
<RSK> (Reject) again to reject it.
zPress <END> to reject it.
If SlideOpen Answer function is enabled, you can open the
slide to answer an incoming call. If Anykey Answer function is
enabled, you can press any key except <LSK> and <END> to
answer an incoming call.

4 Input Method
Changing the Text Input Modes
The indicator of the current text input mode is displayed on the
upper left corner of the screen. You can press <#> to change the
text input mode.
zPress <RSK> (Clear) once to delete the letter on the
left of the cursor. Press and hold <RSK> (Clear) for
about 3s to clear all the letters.
zIn any input mode, press <1> to display the symbol list,
and press and hold number keys to enter numbers.
zIn any input mode (except the "123" mode), press <0>
to enter a space.
zIn "ABC" or "abc" input mode, press <1 > repeatedly to
select and enter the commonly used punctuations.
Entering English Letters
In "ABC" or "abc" input mode, you can press a key labeled with
the desired letter once to enter the first letter on the key, twice
to enter the second letter on the key, and so on.
In "en" input mode, do as follows to enter an English word:
1. Press each key only once according to the spelling sequence
of the desired word.
The phone displays the commonly used word according to
the numeric sequence of key presses.

2. Press to scroll to the desired word.
You can press <#> to change the mode into "EN", "En", or
"en".
3. Press <CSK> to enter the word.
Entering Digits
zIn "123" input mode, you can directly press number keys
labeled with desired digits.
zIn "ABC" or "abc" input mode, press the number key
repeatedly until the desired digit appears on the screen.
zPress and hold the number key labeled with the desired digit
to enter the digit.
Entering Symbols
1. Press <*> to display the symbol list.
2. Press to scroll to the desired symbol.
3. Press <CSK> to enter the symbol.

Writing and Sending a Text Message
1. Press Menu > Messages > Text Message > Write
Message.
2. Write your message.
3. After writing a text message, press <LSK> (Options)to
select the sending options:
zSend Only: You can enter one phone number or retrieve a
phone number from memory by pressing Search.
zSave: to save a text message to Drafts.
zSave And Send: send a text message and save to Outbox.
zSend To many: send a text message to many contacts at a
time.
zSend By Group: send a text message to a group you have
grouped in the phone.
4. Press <LSK> (OK) to send a text message.
Writing and Sending a Multimedia
Message
1. Press Menu > Messages > MMS > Write Message.

2. Press to scroll up and down to add number or e-mail in
the fields To, CC, and Bcc by pressing <CSK>.
3. Write your message.
zPress <CSK> to edit the subject and edit content.
zIn content, you are able to add picture, audio, video and
attachment into the slide
zYou can also insert new slide, preview the message and edit
the sliding time.
4. After writing a multimedia message, press <LSK> (OK) to
select one of the following options:
zSend Only: to send a multimedia message immediately.
zSend And Save: send a multimedia message and save to
Outbox.
zSave To Drafts: save a multimedia message to Drafts and
send it later.
zSend Options: to personalize the sending options.
zExit: You can choose to save or not save the multimedia
message you have written.

6 Contacts
Adding a New Contact
1. Press Menu > Contacts > Add New Contact.
2. Choose add To SIM or To Phone memory, and press
<LSK> (OK).
3. Edit the contact. In SIM memory, you can only key in the
name and phone number.
4. After editing, press <LSK> (OK) to save the contact.
Searching a Contact
1. Press Menu > Contacts > Quick Search.
2. Enter the name or the first characters of the name you are
searching.
3. Press <LSK> (Options) then select Search.

7 Multimedia
Camera
1. In the standby mode, press <Camera>; Or press Menu >
Multimedia > Camera.
2. Press <LSK> (Options) to personalize your camera setting.
zAlbum: Go to the Photo Album.
zCamera Settings: including EV, AE Meter, Banding and
Timer
zImages Settings: including Size and Quality
zWhite Balance: to set the white balance
zNight mode: to turn on/off the Night Mode
zEffects: This phone provides some effects for your
selection.
zRestore Default: You can restore the factory setting by
selecting this option.
3. In the Camera mode, press <CSK> or <Camera> to take a
picture.
4. Press < LSK> to save the picture to Photo Album. Press
<RSK> to delete it.
Video Recorder
1. Press Menu > Multimedia > Video Recorder to activate
the video camera.
2. Press <LSK> (Options) to select following options.
zVideos: Go to the Videos.
zCamcorder Settings: including EV and Banding

zVideo Quality: to choose the video quality
zWhite Balance: to set the white balance
zNight Mode: to turn on/off the Night Mode
zEffects: This phone provides some effects for your
selection.
zRestore Default: You can restore the factory setting by
selecting this option.
3. Press <CSK> or <Camera> to start video recording.
4. During recording, you can press <CSK> or <Camera> to
pause and resume the recording, and press <RSK> to stop
recording.
5. Press < LSK>to save the video to the Videos. Press <RSK>
to delete it.
Video Player
1. Press Menu > Multimedia > Video Player.
2. Press to select a video file, and press <CSK> to play.
While playing, you can:
zPress <Vol> to adjust the volume.
zPress <LSK> or < CSK> to pause/ resume the video.
3. Press < RSK> (Stop) to stop playing.
FM Radio
Before listening to the radio, you must connect the earphone to
your phone as it works as an antenna.
1. Plug in the earphone.
