• Su nuevo protector abdominal Xtend es un accesorio
para las sillas de grupo 2-3 de JANE. Con este acce-
sorio las sillas del grupo 2-3 de JANE pueden usarse
como grupo 1 (para niños de 9 a 18Kg).
• Xtend ha superado las exigentes pruebas de seguridad
de la directiva Europea ECE 44/04 para grupo 1 con
las siguientes sillas de seguridad:
Montecarlo
Montecarlo R1
Momo Racing
INDY team
INDY team Plus
Superguard
• Para mejorar la seguridad del niño, su protector
abdominal Xtend dispone de:
- Material absorbente de impactos.
• Para mejorar el confort y su adaptabilidad al niño,
su protector abdominal Xtend dispone de:
- Tapizado extraíble para ser lavado.
- Canales de aireación desde la parte frontal.
- Acolchado extra.

que puede quedar en contacto con el canto de la silla
de seguridad, siendo esta situación no segura. En este
caso, pruebe a adelantar el asiento o a instalarlo en
otro asiento.
• No todos los sistemas de seguridad son exactamente
iguales, por lo que aconsejamos que compruebe el
protector abdominal Xtend en el automóvil que vaya
a ser montado.
• Es muy importante no utilizar productos de segun-
da mano, ya que JANÉ, S.A. sólo puede garantizar
la total seguridad en artículos usados por su primer
comprador.
• JANÉ, S.A. recomienda sustituir el protector abdomi-
nal Xtend por uno nuevo, cuando haya sido sometido a
violentas tensiones después de un accidente.
• Compruebe que todos los cinturones están en su
correcta posición y debidamente ajustados al niño.
Vigile que ningún cinturón esté enroscado. Debe ha-
cer entender al niño que bajo ningún concepto debe

Con el fin de proteger adecuadamente al niño y,
asegurar su confort y sujeción dentro del auto-
móvil será necesario que respete las siguientes
instrucciones:
• La silla de seguridad con protector abdominal ha sido
diseñado para ser instalado en los asientos traseros o
delanteros del automóvil, siempre que dispongan de
cinturones de tres puntos y no tengan conectado un
AIR-BAG frontal. Aun así, aconsejamos que se instale
siempre que sea posible en las plazas traseras, ya que
así se consigue la máxima seguridad.
• Es válido sólo para automóviles dotados con cintu-
rones automáticos de tres puntos de anclaje, homo-
logados según el reglamento ECE-16 u otras normas
equivalentes. NO usar con un cinturón de dos puntos
de anclaje, es muy peligroso en caso de frenada brusca
o accidente.
• En algunos automóviles la cinta de la hebilla del cintu-
rón se halla en una posición muy avanzada, de manera

manipular los cinturones o los enganches del mismo.
• El protector abdominal Xtend está concebido para
ser usado en el automóvil, por lo que no se debe usar
fuera del mismo

Instalando Su Protector Abdominal Xtend En El Automóvil.
Sitúe la silla de seguridad sobre el asiento del automóvil
de acuerdo a los consejos y advertencias que le hacemos
en las INSTRUCCIONES GENERALES.
1A Siente al niño sobre la silla de seguridad y colóquele
el protector abdominal.
1B Pase el cinturón por encima del protector abdominal
y abróchelo.
1C Pase el cinturón abdominal por dentro de las guías de
color rojo del protector y ténselo.
1D Pase el cinturón de hombros por la guía de color rojo
y tense todo el conjunto.
• Para sacar al niño de la silla de seguridad, solo tiene
que desabrochar el cinturón de seguridad y retirar el
protector.
• Cuando no esté ocupado, NO deje ni la silla de
seguridad ni el protector abdominal suelto den-
tro del habitáculo del automóvil, abróchelos de
nuevo con el cinturón o guárdelos en el compar-
timiento porta equipajes.
• Al poner al niño de nuevo en la silla de seguridad,
vigile que ninguna cinta esté enroscada o fuera
de sitio y que ésta quede plana sobre el área de
guía de cinturones.

• Guarde este libro de instrucciones para futuras con-
sultas.
• Llévelo siempre en el compartimiento situado en el late-
ral del protector abdominal.
• Asegúrese de que dentro del automóvil, tanto el equi-
paje como cualquier otro objeto susceptible de causar

daños en caso de accidente estén debidamente jados
o resguardados.
• El protector abdominal Xtend deberá estar jado debi-
damente con los cinturones de seguridad, aunque no
se esté utilizando, ya que en caso de accidente podría
resultar despedido provocando daños a los ocupantes
ATENCIÓN
• No deje nunca al niño solo.
• Cualquier alteración o adición al dispositivo sin la opor-
tuna autorización de JANE, S.A. puede alterar grave-
mente la seguridad del sistema de retención.
• No seguir cuidadosamente las instrucciones para el co-
rrecto uso del sistema de retención puede ser peligroso
para la seguridad del niño.
• Este dispositivo de seguridad no puede ser usado sin
su tapizado, ni ser reemplazado por otro que no sea el
original, ya que éste forma parte integrante de las carac-
terísticas de seguridad del sistema.
• No recline la silla de seguridad cuando está en uso. Para
reclinar o enderezar su silla de seguridad, deberá ajus-
tar la longitud del cinturón. Realice esta operación con
el automóvil parado.
• Sólo se puede utilizar este sistema de retención en com-
binación con un elevador con respaldo de la categoría o
grupo 2-3 del grupo JANÉ. Éstos serían Indy Team, Indy
Team Plus, Montecarlo, Montecarlo Plus, Momo Racing
y Superguard.

MANTENIMIENTO
• No exponga el tapizado al sol durante largos periodos,
mientras el protector no esté en uso cúbralo o guárdelo
en el compartimiento porta equipajes.
• Lave las partes de plástico con agua templada y jabón,
secando posteriormente todos los componentes con-
cienzudamente.
• El tapizado puede desmontarse para ser lavado. Siga las
siguientes instrucciones:
2A Retire el tejido alrededor de la pieza de plástico.
2B Tire hacia atrás de la parte superior del tapizado.
• Lavar con una temperatura nunca superior a 30°.
• No usar secadora.
• Para montar de nuevo la tapicería siga los mismos pasos
a la inversa.

revisión periódica en cualquiera de nuestros talleres

• Este artículo dispone de garantía según lo estipulado en
la ley 23 / 2003 de 10 de julio. Conservar la factura de
compra, es imprescindible su presentación en la tienda
dónde adquirió el producto para justicar su validez ante
cualquier reclamación.
• Quedan excluídos de la presente garantía aquellos de-
fectos o averías producidas por un uso inadecuado del
artículo o el incumplimiento de las normas de seguridad
y mantenimiento descritas en las hojas de instrucciones
y en las etiquetas de lavado, así como los elementos de
desgaste por uso normal y manejo diario.
• La etiqueta que contiene el número de chasis de su mode-
lo no debe ser arrancada bajo ningún concepto, contiene

• Your new Xtend abdominal protector is an accessory
for the JANE group 2-3 seats. With this accessory the
JANE group 2-3 seats can be used as group 1 (for
children between 9 and 18 Kgs).
• Xtend has passed the demanding safety tests of
European Standard ECE 44/04 for group 1 with the
following safety seats:
Montecarlo
Montecarlo R1
Momo Racing
INDY team
INDY team Plus
Superguard
• To increase the child’s safety, your Xtend abdominal
protector has:
- Shock absorbing material.
• To improve the comfort and the way it adapts to the
child, your Xtend abdominal protector has:
- Upholstery that can be taken off and washed.
- Ventilation channels going from the front part.
- Extra padding.

In order to suitably protect the child and ensure his
comfort and security in the car, it is necessary to ob-
serve the following instructions:
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
• The safety seat with abdominal protector pad has been
designed to be installed on front or rear vehicle seats,
provided they are tted with three-point seat belts and
do not have a frontal AIR-BAG connected. However, we
recommend that whenever possible it is installed on the
rear seat, as this provides maximum safety.
• It is only suitable for vehicles tted with automatic three-
point seat belts, certied by regulation ECE-16 or other
equivalent standards. DO NOT use with a two-point seat
belt, as this is very dangerous in the event of sudden
braking or an accident.
• In some vehicles the seat belt buckle is quite far forwards,
and it may come into contact with the edge of the safety
seat, which is not a safe position. In this case, try moving
the seat forwards or install it on another seat.
• Not all safety systems are exactly the same, which is why
we advise you to test the Xtend abdominal protector in
the vehicle in which it will be installed.
• It is very important not to use second hand products, as
JANÉ, S.A. can only guarantee the complete safety of
articles used by the original buyer.
• JANÉ, S.A. advises you to replace the Xtend abdominal
protector with a new one when it has been subjected to
violent stress in an accident.
• Check that all the straps are positioned correctly and
duly adjusted to t the child. Make sure that no strap
is twisted. The child must understand that he must not
play with the straps or clasps under any circumstances.
• The Xtend abdominal protector is designed for use in the
car, therefore it must not be used out of the car.

Installing your Xtend Abdominal Protector In The Car.
Position the safety seat on the vehicle seat following
the advice and warnings contained in the GENERAL
INSTRUCTIONS.
1A Place the child in safety seat and t the abdominal
protector pad.
1B Pass the seat belt over the abdominal protector and
fasten it.
1C Pass the abdominal seat belt through the red guides
of the protector and tighten it.
1D Pass the shoulder belt through the red guide and
tighten the whole lot.
• To take the child out of the safety seat, simply un-
fasten the seat belt and remove the protector pad.
•When it is not in use, DO NOT leave the safety
seat or the abdominal protector pad loose insi-
de the vehicle, fasten them again with the seat
belt or store them in the luggage compartment.
•When placing the child back in the safety seat,
make sure that none of the straps are twisted
or out of place and that they are flat through
the belt guides.

• Never leave the child alone.
• Any alteration or addition to the device without the
authorisation of JANE, S.A. may seriously alter the safety
of the retention system.
• The instructions for the correct use of the retention
system must be carefully followed to ensure the child’s
safety.
• This safety device must not be used without its uphols-
tery, and it must not be replaced by another one diffe-
rent from the original, as it forms an integral part of the
WARNINGS
system’s safety characteristics.
• Do not recline the safety seat when it is in use. To recline
or straighten up the safety seat, you need to adjust the
length of the seat belt. This should be done when the
vehicle is at a standstill.
• This retention system can only be used in conjunction
with a booster seat with a backrest classied as group
2-3 from the JANÉ group. These include the Indy Team,
Indy Team Plus, Montecarlo, Montecarlo Plus, Momo
Racing and Superguard.
• Keep this instruction book for future reference.
• Always store it in the compartment on the side of the
abdominal protector.
• Make sure that inside the vehicle, any luggage or other
object which may cause damage in the event of an acci-
dent is correctly fastened or stored.
• The Xtend abdominal protector must be correctly faste-
ned with the seat belts, even if it is not in use, as in the
RECOMMENDATIONS
event of an accident it could get ung about and injure
the occupants of the vehicle.
• Remember not to use the Xtend abdominal protector in
vehicles tted with a frontal AIRBAG, unless it can be
disconnected or deactivated. You can nd this out by
consulting the vehicle manufacturer or retailer.
• Check that it does not get caught between the fold down
seats or the doors of your vehicle.

• Do not expose the upholstery to the sun for prolonged
periods of time, when the protector is not in use cover
it up or store it in the luggage compartment.
• Wash the plastic parts with soap and warm water, and
then dry all the components thoroughly.
• The upholstery can be taken off for washing. Follow
the instructions below:
2A Remove the from around the plastic part.
2B Pull the upper part of the upholstery backwards.
• Wash at a temperature not exceeding 30°.
• Do not tumble dry.
• To t the upholstery again, follow the same steps in
reverse order.
For your safety and the good conservation of this pro-
duct, it is important to bring it to one of our ofcial
workshops for regular inspections.

• This guarantee excludes any defects or breakages
caused by inappropriate use of the article or inobserv-
ance of the safety and maintenance rules listed in the
instruction pages and on the care labels, as well as
faults caused by wear and tear through normal use and
daily handling.
• The label displaying the chassis number of the model
should never be taken off, it contains important in-
formation.
