Step By Step Assembly Instructions
PRE-ASSEMBLY PREPARATION
Please check the pack contents before attempting to assemble this product. A full checklist of components is given
in this leaflet. If any components are missing, please contact your nearest stockist.
The ladder can be assembled on both left and rigth side, this instruction shows assemblying for right side.
This product takes approximately 120 MINUTES to assemble with 2 People.
The fittings pack contains SMALL ITEMS which should be KEPT AWAY FROM YOUNG CHILDREN.
Read this leaflet in full before commencing assembly.
You will require a crosshead screwdriver, flathead screwdriver and an allen key.
Important Safety Note
Always lift the unit from the base when moving it, do not drag along the ground.
It is recommended that two people should move the unit, never move it alone.
A crosshead screwdriver only should be used to assemble this loft bed, an electric drill
may cause damage to the product and is not recommended.

IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY - RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
All assembly fastenings should always be tightened properly and care should be taken to ensure that no fittings are loose.
The loft bed should be checked periodically to ensure that the guardrail, ladder and other components are
maintained in the correct position and state of repair and that all connections are secure.
The mattress used with the loft bed should measure 90 cm in with, 190 cm in length and not exceed 21 cm in thickness.
The top of the mattress shall be at least 160 mm below the upper edge of the safety barrier, refer to the permanent
marking on the bed for guidance.
Do not use the loft bed if any structural part is broken or missing.
The upper bed of the loft bed is not suitable for children under six years due to the risk of injury from falls.
To avoid the risk of strangulation do not attach to/or hang ropes, strings, cords, harnesses or belts on the bed.
Warning! Children can be become trapped between the bed and the wall. To avoid risk for serious injury the distance between
the top safety barrier and the wall shall not exceed 75 mm or shall be more than 230 mm.
Children should be discouraged from playing on the bed.
If any replacement parts are required, they must be obtained from the John Lewis Partnership.
Substitute parts should not be used.

Fix the minifix bolts for bushing (B) into the Left low bed panel (1) as shown.
Fit three wooden dowels (E) into the Left low bed panel (1) as shown.

Fit the two 35mm minifix housings (D) into the side rail (3) as shown.

4. Fit the side rail (3) to the low bed panels (1&2) as shown.
Fix the side rails with the 35mm minifix housings using an allen key.

Fix the four minifix bolts (A) into the High bed panel (4) as shown.
Fix the two minifix bolts for bushing (B) as shown.
Fit the six wooden dowels (E) as shown.
Fix the two minifix bolts (A) into the High bed panel (4) as shown.
This instruction show assembly for ladder on the right side, for left side assembly
fix the minifix bolts (A) on the opposite side of the bed panel.
Fix the two minifix bolts for bushing (B) as shown.
Fit the six wooden dowels (E) as shown.

8. Fit the four minifix housings (C) into the Long guard rail (7) as shown.

Fix the side rail support (6) to the Side rail (5) with
the nine euro screws (F) as shown.
Fit the Minifix housing 35mm (D) into the Side rail as shown.
Repeat this step for both side rails.

9. Fit the two side rails (5) and the Long guard rail (7) to the High bed panels (4) as shown.
Fix the side rails with the 35mm minifix housings using an allen key.
Fix the Long guard rail with the minifix housings using a cross head screwdriver.

Fix the four assembly nuts (G) with the four hexagon socket screws (H) as shown.

Fix the fourteen bedslats (9) with the 28 Hexagon screws (N) and the
28 screw heads (M) as shown.

Fit the two minifix housings (C) into the short guard rail (8) as shown.

Place the top bunk on the bottom bunk and fix them with the four
Hexagon socket screws (H) as shown.

Fit the Foot steps (11) to the Ladder sides (10) and fix them
with the twenty Connection screws (I) as shown.
Fit the short guard rail (8) and fix the two minifix housings (C) using a cross head screwdriver.

Fit the ladder to the bed as shown.
Fix the ladder with the two Connection screws (I) and two Connection screws (J) as shown.
Fix the Counter plate (L) with the two Wooden screws (K) as shown.

Care and Maintenance.
This Fairford loftbed should be cleaned using a soft damp cloth and dried immediately.
Do not use a very wet cloth or allow any liquid to contact with the surface for a long period of time
as it can permanently damage the surface. Do not use any abrasive cleaner or harsh detergent
as this can damage the surface.
