
Assembly
Refer to assembly drawings. Carefully unpack the carton, making sure all the parts are present
before assembly.
Step 1
Do not attempt to plug in or use this product until it has been fully assembled. Disconnect from
mains during assembly or maintenance.
Step 2
Remove all packaging from the base, the central tubes and shade. Remove any cable protection
pieces in the ends of the tubes.

Care instructions
We recommend cleaning with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive materials as these will damage
the nish.

Your standard lamp has been packaged as separate parts to prevent damage during transit.
When manoeuvring or assembling this product, it must be lifted from the bottom.
If you are in any doubt, please consult a qualied electrician.
For your safety, always switch off the supply before cleaning or adjusting.

Step 3
Fit the glass shade in place by placing the glass over the main light
and xing in place using the screws.
Step 4
Secure the upper tubes to the main light head using the hex key
provided, being aware of cross-threading, and ensuring no cables
are strained or trapped.
Step 5
Screw the two lower tubes into the central control unit, being
aware of cross-threading, and ensuring no cables are strained or
trapped.
Step 6
Fit the lower tubes to the base, by slotting through the plate
and into the base. Gently pull any excess cable through the base.
Secure the tubes in place using the base xings and spanner
provided.
Step 7
Stand the product upright and check the tightness of the joints.
Step 8
Your standard lamp is now ready to use. Plug in to the mains
supply, and switch on using the dimmer switches on the central
panel; the top switch (A) operates the main light, and the bottom
switch (B) operates the reading light.
