BATTERY TYPE
ThisanalyserusesrechargeableNickelMetalHydride(NiMH)batteries
-Usingotherbatterytypesmayvoidyouranalyserwarranty.
WARNING
AlthoughyoucanuseAlkalinebatteriesyoumustnotchargeyour
analyserwithAlkalinebatteriestted.
DonotmixNiMHcellsofdierentcapacitiesorfromdierent
manufacturers-Allbatteriesmustbeidentical.
REPLACING BATTERIES
Turnoveryouranalyser&removeitsprotectiverubbercovertondtrhe
batterycompartment&t3NiMH“AA”rechargeablebatteriesensuring
theyarettedwithcorrectbatterypolarity.Replacebatterycover&
protectiverubbercover.
TIME AND DATE
Afterchangingbatteriesresetyouranalysertime&date.
CHARGING NIMH BATTERIES
YouranalyserusesastandardMicroUSBconnector-Forbestresults
turnitothenconnectyourcharger.Thechargingindicatorwill
illuminateandturnowhentheneedforchargeisover.
Yourrstchargeshouldbefor8hours-ThereafterNiMHbatteriescan
be“toppedup”atanytime,evenforshortperiods.
Ifyourbatteriesdischargeandyouranalyserentersalowpower
shutdown,1hour’schargeprovidesapprox2hourscontinuoususe.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
Alwaysdisposeofdepletedbatteriesusingapproveddisposalmethods
thatprotecttheenvironment.

SAFETY WARNING
Thisanalyserextractscombustiongasesthatmaybetoxicinrelativity
lowconcentrations.Thesegasesareexhaustedfromthebottomofthe
analyser.Thisanalysermustonlybeusedinwell-ventilatedlocations
bytrainedandcompetentpersonsafterdueconsiderationofallthe
potentialhazards.
Portablegasdetectorsusersshouldconduct“bump”testsbefore
relyingonunitstoverifyatmospheresarefreefromhazard.
A“bump”testisawaytocheckaninstrumentworkswithinacceptable
limitsbybrieyexposingittoknowngasmixturestochangetheoutput
ofallsensorspresent.
Note:Thisisdierentfromacalibrationwheretheinstrumentisalso
exposedtoknowngasmixturesbutallowedtosettletoasteadygure
withreadingsadjustedtothestatedgasconcentrationofthetestgas.

besucientforanaverage8-hourday.
TaketimetoreadthismanualfullyandbeawareyouranalyserÏ
congurationmaynotsupportallfeaturesexplainedinthismanual.
Beforeusingyouranalysersetitupforyourrequirements.
NOTE: Your analyser STATUS bar displays current time, date and
battery status - Check time & date are correct as they can only be
changed if you have not stored any logs in Memory to protect the
integrity of your stored data.
GENERAL OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Usingyouranalyserissimplewiththerotarydialanduserinterface.
Mosttestscanbemadewithlittleuseractivity.
Youranalyserstatusbaroersoptionsbasedontasksyouare
performing,displayingusefulinformationandmessages.
QUICK START
Turnonyouranalyserpressingthe buttonfor2secondsuntilitstarts.
Your analyser starts a calibration - once completed select your tests by
turningtheanalyserrotarydial.
USER INTERFACE
