concerning product installation, operation and maintenance.
Please read it carefully prior to installation and obey all the
instructions during operation.
WARNING! Warning is used to indicate a hazard

microbiologically unsafe or of unknown
quality without adequate disinfection
before or after the system.
WARNING! Do not repair, disassemble, or modify.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
WARNING! Unplug the unit before your installation,
make sure cold water valve is turned off
under the sink.
CAUTION! Caution is used when failure to follow
directions could result in damage to
equipment or property.
CAUTION! Make certain that installation and
connectors must comply with all state and local
plumbing codes.
CAUTION! Installation and maintenance must be done
by qualified plumbing professionals designated by
dealers authorized by Kohler.
CAUTION! For cold water use only (Temperature
Range: 5-38°C); This filter must be protected from
freezing, which can cause cracking of the filter and
water leakage. Drain filter when room temperature
drops below 5°C.
CAUTION! Inlet Pressure Range: 100-400 kPa, If water
pressure exceeds 400kPa, please install pressure
limiting valve. (Please consult plumbing professionals or
dealers authorized by Kohler for water pressure
measurement).
CAUTION! Do not install where water hammer
conditions may occur. If water hammer conditions exist
you must install a water hammer arrester.
CAUTION! Do not install in direct sunlight, outdoors or
where blowtorch or other high temperature sources are
nearby.
CAUTION! The filter must be installed with the inlet,
outlet and drain ports as labeled. Make sure not to
reverse connections.
Note: Note is used to emphasize installation, operation or
maintenance information which is important, but does not
present any hazard.
Note: Do not use filtered water for the water exchange
of an aquarium or a fishbowl.

Step 1: Pre-install Supply Water Connection

1. Make sure cold water supply line under the sink is turned
2. Disconnect cold water line from threaded stub on bottom
3. Screw the water supply adapter - female threaded stub to
the cold water supply valve male threads as shown.
Hand it tighten and snug with wrench. Screw the female
threaded tap faucet stub to the water supply adapter.

Step 2: Pre-install Water Filtrattion Faucet
Note: Please pre-install Water filtration faucet of Kohler brand
or other brands on the sink. (Refer to Water filtration Faucet
Installation Manual for tools and detailed installation steps of
water filtration faucet. For water filtration faucet other than
Kohler brand, please make sure the inlet with a 1/4" adapter).

Connections to undersink plumbing
can be made with a saddle clamp
designed to accept the drain tubing from
the RO system. Kohler offers a saddle kit,
PN 1396876, designed for φ50mm undersink
drain plumbing (Figure 4).
Be sure to check and follow local plumbing
codes prior to installation.
Step 3: Making connections
Note: Cut tubing straight with a utility knife, make sure there
are no cuts, nicks, flat spots or sharp edges as figure 4, If any
of these are present, cut the tubing again; Do not kink tubing.

Note: It may be difficult to release the tubing due to water
pressure when replacing service parts. In this case, please
shut off the cold water supply valve, turn on the Water
filtration faucet to depressurize and then try to release the
tubing again. (Figure 5)

Insert the 3/8" PE tubing in to the system inlet port and the
water supply T-valve for inletwater; Insert the another 1/4"
PE tubing into the system pure water outlet port and the
end of the Water filtration faucet , Then insert the third 1/4”
PE tubing in to the Drain port of RO system and the Drain
line under the sink. (Figure 3)

Step 5: System Start-up
CAUTION! Do not touch the power plug with a wet
hands.
CAUTION! Do not connect and pull out the power plug
repeatedly.
CAUTION! If our product produces a strange noise
or odd smell, immediately unplug from
the electrical outlet and call our Service
Center.
CAUTION! If the power cord from the transformer to
the unit looks or becomes damaged, the
cord and transformer should be replaced
by a Kohler Service Agent or similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
1. Connect the system to the Power. 1.
2. New system flush
First step: Force Flush-,the system will do Auto Flush 5
minutes.(Figure 6)
Note: Please confirm supply water inlet pipe & drain pipe
is already connected , the system will automatically start
washing.
Note: The initial product water can't be used as drinking or
cooking water.

Second step: After the brand new /RO-filter replaced
&reset 5 minutes force flush, the system will do Clean flush
with displaying ‘ ’& ‘ ’, and blinking with 10 seconds
Interval repeat short beep till water production started. Open
the water filtration faucet to run pure water at least 30 minutes
and Observe the pure water until it is clear. (Figure 7)

Note: In order to ensure the drinking water safety,Please
run the system follow this method during initial steps after
the brand new unit installed / RO-filter replaced:
After 35 minutes new system flush, you still need
run pure water 20 minutes and drain out after every 3 hours
stand by, please repeat those procedure 7 times. then you
can use the product water for drinking.
If only replace the PPC filter ,run the pure water 30 minutes.
注意：为了保证RO膜的性能，RO膜出厂时含有保湿剂，为保证
用户的饮水安全，请按照如下方法进行使用操作：
新机器安装或更换新的RO膜后，按机器提示打开净水龙头冲洗
35分钟后，每停机3个小时及以上，打开净水龙头放水冲洗20分
钟为一个循环，重复7个循环及以上。在完成7个循环前，放出的
水可以用于家庭清洗，不建议饮用。
更换非RO滤芯，打开净水龙头冲洗30分钟。
Step 4: Installing Filter Cartridge
Please refer to the following section - REPLACING FILTER
CARTRIDGE.

Step 6: System Test
Turn off the water production, Keep the cold water
supply valve turned on. Check all fittings and tubings for
leaks. If it leaks, see Troubleshooting.
Complete the installation and cleanup.

30 秒后两级滤芯指示灯会同时闪烁橙色，
如果持续低于标准，两级滤芯指示灯会
持续闪烁橙色并在制水 60 秒后 3 声蜂鸣
提示。
• When the TDS reduction below standard,
the filter life indicator will repeat blink
orange after 30 s running water, if it
continuously below standard, it will repeat
blink orange with 3 beeps after 60 s
running water.

Error - Leaking Issue

When the leakiage detector
activates, the leaking issue may
occurs, system will shut down,
the unit will display “ ”
orange and blinking on the interface,
it comes with continue repeating beeps.
please eliminate the leaking issue
follow the Troubleshooting.
当界面三个按键 都显示橙
色并伴随三声鸣叫，按键 将间隔一
秒的重复闪烁，它意味着水泵在短时
间内发生多次高频率的反复启停，机器
将自动停机保护。消除故障方法见常见
问题及故障处理。
the unit will display three buttons
“ ” orange and “ ”
blinking on the interface,it comes
with 3 repeating beeps.it means
the pump high frequency on/off in
short time, the unit goes to forced
shutdown protection. please eliminate
the issue follow the Troubleshooting.
After the uint producing water more than
35 minutes,The ‘ ’ will blink with 10
seconds Interval repeat long beep to
remind you to stop, if not ,it will goes to
overused Protected mode after producing
water more than 40 minutes, all the lights
go to orange and ‘ ’ blink,unit was forced
stop.

Important Information in Using the System:
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of
unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after
the system.
• A period of time after the system shutoff, the product
water TDS value will be higher in short time, this is a
normal condition, just to discharge a small amount of
product water;
• Before prolonged periods of non-use (such as during a
vacation) it is recommended that the cold water supply
valve be turned off. If it is more than one week, please
flushthe filter thoroughly for at least 5 minutes before
reusing it;
• If leaks occur and persist on system, please first turn off
the water supply valve. Call Kohler-Free Technical
Support line directly or your local distributor authorized by
Kohler;
• Please replace filter when prompted by the indicator.

REPLACING FILTER CARTRIDGES
Note: Before changing the filter, please make sure the cold
water valve is turned off.

Open the Top Cover;

Rotate the filter counterclockwise from “ ” to the
another “ ”,then take away the old filter;

Aim at the “ ” dot,push the filter into the system,then
rotate clockwise until the filter icon aligned the “ ” to
fix.

Follow the filter reset description,reset the filter.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Note: Should service, adjustment or trouble-shooting information be needed which is not covered in the Use Guide, contact
Kohler service and dealer.
WARNING! Electrical shock hazard! Unplug the unit before maintaining.
Problem Possible Cause Remedy
Leakage
Tubing not fully seated in fitting. Check all fittings for tightness.
Tubing abraded in seal area. Recut tubing and redo connection.
System inside leakage. Contact Kohler service.
Filter LEDs will change to
ange with beeps Filter life is running low or out. Replace filter element.
Unit fails to initiate No power supply. Plug in again.
Main PCB failure. Contact Kohler service.
