products.Thereisimportantinformationthatyouneedtoknow.
Softwarerequirements
DATSSsoftwareversion2.0orlaterisrequiredtousetheDATSSOperatorPanel.In
addition,yourdonglemusthavethe“RemoteOperatorPanel”optionenabled.
YoucanmakesurethatthisoptionisenabledbyrunningtheDA TSSsoftwarethen
clickingontheSimradbannertoopentheAboutDATSSdialogbox.Youshouldseethe
featuresyoupurchasedlistedinthedialogbox.
Ifyouhavepurchasedanupgradetoyourexistinglicensebuthavenotupdatedyour
dongle,followtheprocedurebelow.
Upgradingyoursoftwarelicense
1SendyourexistingdongleserialnumbertoKongsbergMesotechsalesorsupport.
2KongsbergMesotechwillsendyoualicensele(a.binle).
Storeitonaknownlocationonyourharddrive.
3InsertyourdongleintoaUSBportonyourcomputer.
4GotoC:\KML\DATSS_V0XXXandopenthele“LicenseManager.exe”.
Note
YourserialnumbershouldautomaticallyappearintheSerialNumbereld.Ifyou
don’tseeit,makesureyourdongleisinserted,thenclickRefresh.
5ClickBrowse,selectthelicenseleyousavedearlier(a.binle),thenclickOpen.
6ClickProgram.
Youshouldseeamessagetellingyouthatyourdonglehasbeenprogrammed
successfully.

SamsungGalaxytabletwiththeDA TSSRemote
ControlAppinstalled.TheRemoteControlAppallows
youtocontrolkeyfunctionsoftheDATSSSoftware
remotely.Youcanalsomonitoryourcatchsensordata
andreceiveanalarmwhenthecatchsensorispulled.
YoucanconnecttotheDATSSSoftwarethrough
eitheranEthernetwirelessaccesspointorawireless

Bydefault,thetabletconnectstotheDATSSProcessorUnitthroughanEthernetwireless
accesspoint.AwirelessBluetoothconnectionisavailableasabackupoptionifyouare
experiencingproblemswiththewirelessaccesspoint.
Prerequisites
•YoumusthaveanexistingDA TSSsystemwithacomputerProcessorUnit.
•YourDA TSSProcessorUnitmusthaveafreeEthernetport(youcanalsousean
Ethernetswitch).
Context
TheprovidedwirelessaccesspointallowsthetablettoconnectviaWi-Fitothesame
localareanetworkasyourDATSSProcessorUnit.

1ConnectanEthernetcablefromtheEthernetportonthebottomofthewireless
accesspoint(!)totheprovidedPoE(PoweroverEthernet)adapter’sPoEport(A).
2ConnectanEthernetcablefromanEthernetport
ontheDATSSProcessorUnittothePoEadapter’s
LANport(B).
3ConnectthepowercordtothePoEadapter’s
powersocket.
4Connecttheotherendofthepowercordtoa
standardelectricalwalloutlet(110-240VAC
powersocket).
ObservethattheLEDlightonthewirelessaccess
pointturnsgreen.
5Connectthetablet’spowercableandplugtheotherendintoanelectricaloutlet.
Note
Donotplugthetablet’ spowercableintoaUSBportonyourcomputer .Thetablet
willnotchargethroughthecomputer’ sUSBport.
Ifyoudisconnectthepowercableduringoperation,theRemoteControlAppwill
loseitsconnectiontotheProcessorUnitandyouwillneedtosetuptheEthernet
connectionagain.
