22. Keep guards attached and always put in protective
position!
23. Do not operate trailed implement unless all guards
are attached and in protective position!
24. With single-axle trailers pay attention to danger of
tipping if unevenly loaded, in particular when
uncoupling and when uncoupled.
– Permissible coupling load!
25. Loaded single-axle trailers must not be transported
using the support wheel!
26. Drawbar height adjustment for load-bearing
drawbars is to be carried out by specialist
workshops only!
27. With single-axle trailers, pay attention to reduced
load on front axle of tractor and impaired steering
due to coupling load!
PTO shaft operation
1. Do not use universal drive shafts other than those
specified by the manufacturer!
2. The guard tube, the guard cone of the universal
drive shaft and the PTO shaft guard – also on the
implement side – must be installed and in proper
condition!
3. Observe the tube overlap prescribed for universal
drive shafts in transport and operating position!
4. Before installing or removing universal drive shafts,
disengage the PTO, stop the engine and remove
the ignition key!
5. When using universal drive shafts with an overload
or free-wheel clutch mechanism which is not
covered by the guard on the tractor, the overload
or free-wheel clutch mechanism must be installed
on the implement side!
6. Always make sure that the universal drive shaft is
properly installed and secured!
7. Hook the chains to secure the universal driveshaft
guard against rotating with the shaft!
8. Before engaging the PTO shaft, make sure that the
selected PTO speed of the tractor matches the
permissible implement speed!
5. When travelling with trailed implement, the
possibility of individual braking must be excluded
(lock pedals)!
6. Attach implement only to the devices provided for
this purpose!
7. Observe the maximum permissible load for the
trailer coupling!
8. (Observe maximum permissible fifth-wheel
pressure on swinging drawbar)!
9. Park trailed implement safely!
10. When transporting, secure movable components
with the securing devices provided to prevent
alteration in position!
11. (Danger at crushing and shearing points when
operating support devices!)
12. Put all equipment in transport position before on-
road driving! Note hydraulically operated
articulated drawbar!
13. Do not enter floor conveyor when machine is
operating!
14. Due to their function, input and output units such
as pick-up, belts, metering equipment and output
rollers cannot be made fully safe by design
measures. A safe distance must therefore be kept
from these moving parts during operation! The
same applies to all additional equipment
15. Keep clear of discharge area!
16. There are hazarous tools under the guards.
They can continue to run after the drive has been
switched off. So keep clear of these parts until they
have come to a standstill.
17. Switch off the drive, stop the engine and remove
the ignition key before carrying out repair, service
or cleaning work or rectifying faults.
18. When working under raised covers ensure that
they are supported properly!
19. Take suitable protective measures (gloves, boots
etc.) when handling sharp parts, e.g. cutter blades!
20. Always wear eye protectors when resharpening
blades.
21. Keep clear of movable covers!
