Red light therapy has a wide variety of applications and health benefits. Physical
therapists and doctors use red light therapy to help athletes safely recover from injury,

The BioHeal offers customizable treatment options for your wellness recovery, including
pulsed light therapy and adjustable treatment time from 1–30 minutes. Three modes,
(1) red + near-infrared, (2) red light, and (3) near-infrared light, allow you to choose the
perfect settings for each treatment session.
• Red light therapy mode: 660nm red light is absorbed by the skin at a high rate making
it especially effective for improving blood circulation and stimulating collagen and
elastin production, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Red light
therapy tightens pores, smooths skin tone, and reduces symptoms of eczema and
psoriasis, such as redness, itching, flaking, and swelling.
• Near infrared therapy mode: 850nm near-infrared (NIR) light penetrates deeply into

• Red + near infrared therapy mode: This mode uses both 660nm and 850nm light. It

FIRST STEPS
1. Remove the BioHeal from the shipping box and remove all packaging
from the unit and accessories.
2. Inspect the device and accessories for shipping damage.
3. Read carefully through this user manual and all safety instructions
before using the BioHeal.
4. Go to bioheal.lifeprofitness.com and register your product within
14 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranty.
5. Complete the steps in the EASY-START SETUP GUIDE on page 7 to
begin using the BioHeal.

TIPS FOR USING THE BIOHEAL
USING THE BIOHEAL
• Place the protective eyeglasses over your eyes before powering on the device.
When using, never look directly into the LED lights without the protective
eyeglasses, particularly when the near-infrared (NIR) lights are on.
• Remove clothing and any accessories from the area you wish to treat.
• Position the BioHeal panel 6–12 inches away from the area to be treated.
• We recommend that first-time users begin with 3–5 minute treatment
sessions per area and work up to 10-minute treatment sessions.
• We recommend that continuing users use the BioHeal for 10–12 minute
treatment sessions per area.
• Monitor treated areas for several days after the initial treatment. If you feel
discomfort or sensitivity, increase your distance from the BioHeal during
treatment or decrease treatment time (either the time per session or the
number of sessions per day/week).
• Do not use continuously for more than 30 minutes, and wait at least 6 hours
between treatment sessions on the same area.
• Use the device to treat the same area a maximum of 2–3 times per day.
• Use the device 3–7 days a week, depending on your tolerance to treatment.
• It is best to increase treatment time (the number of minutes per session
and the number of sessions per day and per week) slowly over a period of
several days or weeks. How slowly you increase treatment will depend on
your individual skin sensitivity and tolerance to treatment.
• It is normal to feel a gentle warmth during and after your treatment session.
• For best results, do not use after applying lotions or creams to your skin.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Keep the BioHeal and power cables away from heat sources and fire.
Excessive heat can potentially cause fire, electrocution, or injury to people
or property.
• The device is not waterproof. Keep away from liquids. Do not immerse in
water.
• Never use the device or plug/unplug the power cable with wet hands.
• Always power off and unplug the device after each use.

CONNECT TO POWER
• Plug the power cable (G) into the power cord jack on the back of
the BioHeal Red Light Therapy Panel (A).
• Plug the power cable into a standard wall outlet.
PREPARING TO USE
• Remove clothing and accessories from area you wish to treat.
• Place a pair of protective eyeglasses (D) over your eyes.
• Position the device 6–12 inches from the area you wish to treat.
BEGIN YOUR TREATMENT
• Flip the red power switch on the back of the BioHeal panel to the
ON position.
• Press the On/Pulse/Off button on the control panel to begin your
red light therapy treatment. The default treatment is red light
+ near-infrared light (Mode 1). The default working time is 10
minutes.
• Adjust the mode and working time, as desired.
• Turn on the pulsed-light feature, if desired.

FLASHING LIGHT WARNING: The pulsed-light feature may affect users who are
susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photo-sensitivities. If you or anyone
in your household has ever had symptoms related to epilepsy (seizures or loss of
consciousness) when exposed to flashing lights, consult your physician before using the
BioHeal.
If you, or anyone in your household, experience symptoms while using the BioHeal,
such as dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of consciousness,
disorientation, involuntary movements or convulsions, stop using the device
IMMEDIATELY and consult your physician.
WARNING: Always wear a pair of protective eyeglasses when using the BioHeal. Never
look directly into the LED lights without the protective eyeglasses as this can damage
your eyes. While near-infrared (NIR) light is not visible to the naked eye, it can be
particularly harmful for your eyes.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the operating instructions before using the BioHeal Red Light Therapy
Panel. Keep this manual for reference.
USING THE CONTROL PANEL
1. Display Window: Shows the set working
time.
2. Mode Indicator LEDs (2): LEDs indicate the
current selected mode.
3. Time (T) Button: Press to set the time
duration from 1–30 minutes, in 1-minute
increments. The default time is 10 minutes.
4. Mode (R/NIR) Button: Press to toggle
through the three modes: red + near-
infrared mode (660+850nm), red mode
(660nm), and near-infrared mode (850nm).
5. On/Pulse/Off Button: Press the button
once to turn on the LED lights, press a
second time to turn on the 10 Hz pulsed
light feature, press a third time to turn off
the LED lights.

USING THE BIOHEAL RED LIGHT THERAPY PANEL
1. Place the protective eyeglasses over your eyes.
2. Flip the red power switch on the back of the panel to the ON position.
3. Press the On/Pulse/Off button on the control panel to turn on the LED
lights and begin treatment using the default treatment, Mode 1, red light +
near-infrared light (660+850nm). The display window will show the default
working time of 10 minutes, "10:00".
4. Press the Mode (R/NIR) button to change the mode, if desired. Press the
button once to change to Mode 2, red light (660nm); press a second time to
select Mode 3, near-infrared light (850nm); and press a third time to return
to Mode 1. You may change the mode at any time.
5. Press the Time (T) button to adjust the working time, if desired. The default
working time is 10 minutes. Choose from 1–30 minutes, in one-minute
increments. The set working time appears in the display window and may be
adjusted at any time.
6. Press the On/Pulse/Off button a second time to turn on the 10 Hz pulsed
light feature, if desired. The LEDs on the panel will pulse, or flash, on and
off rapidly in a cycle.
7. Press the On/Pulse/Off button a third time to stop the treatment session
at any time. The BioHeal will automatically shut down when the set working
time is complete. Press the On/Off/Pulse button again if you wish to
continue using the device.
8. Always press the On/Pulse/Off button to turn off the LED lights, flip the
power switch on the back of the light panel to the OFF position, and unplug
the device after each use.

PULSED LIGHT THERAPY
By default, the BioHeal uses continuous waves of red light. When the 10 Hz
pulsed light feature is turned on, the panel emits rapid pulses of red and/
or near-infrared light (depending on the mode selected). 10 Hz is the pulse
frequency and refers to the pause between one "on" time to the next (the
light pulses on and off 10 times per second).
Emerging research shows that the short pause between light pulses
encourages cells to regenerate more efficiently, meaning pulsed light has a
greater effect on cell regeneration and recovery.

POSITIONING YOUR BIOHEAL PANEL
There are several options for hanging your BioHeal from a door standard-
sized door. You may also tilt the light panel toward the area to be treated
using the tilt arm at the back of the panel.
USING THE PANEL'S TILT ARM
1. Place the BioHeal panel on a flat, sturdy floor, table, or other surface.
2. Grab the tilt arm on the back of the panel and pull it out until the panel
is tilted to the desired angle.

4. Place both hanging cable loops
through the carabiner. See
Figure 3.
5. Hang the carabiner over the door
hook. See Figure 3.

before using the device.
26. Never leave the device unattended while it is plugged in or running.
27. Do not lie, sit, or stand on the LED panel. Do not exert excessive downward force on the
panel or power cable.
28. Do not operate the device while sleeping, driving, smoking, or intoxicated.
CLEANING, STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
29. Turn off, unplug, and allow the device to cool down before cleaning or storing.
30. Wipe down the device with a soft, dry cloth, as needed. Do not use abrasive, corrosive,
solvent, or chemical cleaners or harsh detergents on the device.
31. Never allow water, other liquids, or steam to come into contact with the device.
32. Store the device in a cool, dry location, in its original box to prevent damage. Remove
the power cable before storing. Do not store other objects on top of the device.
33. Do not attempt to modify, disassemble, repair the device.
