Informationen zum Vorbild
Die legendäre Schnellzuglokomotive der Bau-
reihe 10 wurde im Jahr 1957 in Dienst gestellt.
Mit 3.000 PS war sie die stärkste deutsche
Schnellzug-Dampflokomotive. Die Höchstge-
schwindigkeit von 140 km/h erreichte sie sogar
mit einem 600 Tonnen schweren Zug.
Im Ablieferungszustand im Jahr 1958 hatte die
10 002 eine Ölhauptfeuerung, wogegen ihre
zuvor gelieferte Schwestermaschine 10 001 eine
Kohlefeuerung mit Ölzusatzfeuerung hatte. Zur
Verringerung des Luftwiderstandes erhielten die
Loks eine Teilverkleidung. Im betrieblichen Alltag
bewährten sich diese Maschinen außerordent-
lich gut, sogar bei täglichen Laufleistungen von
über 1.000 km.
Der damals einsetzende allgemeine Struktur-
wandel in der Zugförderung bewirkte allerdings,
dass von dieser Baureihe nur zwei Maschinen
gebaut wurden.
Information about the Prototype
The legendary class 10 express locomotive
was placed into service in 1957. At 3,000 hp it
was the most powerful German express steam
locomotive. It reached its maximum speed of
140 km/h (87.5 mph) even with a train of 600
metric tons.
As delivered in 1958, road number 10 002 had
oil firing for its principal firing in contrast to its
sibling unit road number 10 001, which was coal
fired with auxiliary oil firing. The locomotives
were equipped with partial streamlining to redu-
ce air resistance. In everyday service these units
were outstanding, even with daily runs of over
1,000 kilometers (625 miles).
The general changes taking place in motive po-
wer on the railroad at that time resulted in only
two of this class being built.

Informations concernant la locomotive réele
La légendaire locomotive pour trains rapides de
la série 10 fut mise en service en 1957. Avec ses
3 000 CV, c’était la plus puissante locomotive à
vapeur allemande pour trains rapides. Elle était
même capable d’atteindre la haute vitesse de
140 km/h en tête d’un lourd train de 600 tonnes.
Lors de sa livraison, en 1958, la 10 002 était
équipée d’une chauffe principale au fuel, alors
que sa grande sœur, la 10 001 était munie d’un
système de chauffe au charbon avec chauffe
d’appoint au fuel. Afin de réduire la résistance
de l’air, les locomotives furent partiellement
carénées. En exploitation normale, ces machi-
nes se comportaient extraordinairement bien et
même lors de parcours quotidiens de plus de 1
000 km.
Les modifications de structure générales en
matière d’accélération des trains décidées à
cette époque firent en sorte que seulement deux
machines de cette série furent construites.

De legendarische sneltreinlocomotief van de
serie 10 werd in 1957 in dienst genomen. Met
3.000 pk was die de sterkste Duitse sneltrein-
stoomlocomotief. De maximum snelheid van 140
km/h bereikte ze zelfs met een 600 ton zware
trein.
In 1958 werd de 10 002 afgeleverd met een
oliegestookt hoofdvuur. Daarentegen had de
daarvoor afgeleverde zustermachine, de 10 001,
een kolengestookt hoofdvuur en werd met olie
bij gestookt. Om de luchtweerstand te vermin-
deren werden de locs deels van een bekleding
voorzien. In het bedrijf van alledag bewezen
deze machines zich buitengewoon goed, zelfs
bij dagelijkse afstanden van meer dan 1.000 km.
De zich toen inzettende algemene conjunctuur-
verandering in het vervoer per trein resulteerde
er echter in dat van deze serie slechts twee
machines gebouwd werden.

• Die Lok darf nur mit einem dafür bestimmten
Betriebssystem (Märklin Wechselstrom-Trans-
formator 6647, Märklin Delta, Märklin Digital
oder Märklin Systems) eingesetzt werden.
• Die Lok darf nur aus einer Leistungsquelle
gleichzeitig versorgt werden.
• Beachten Sie unbedingt die Sicherheitshin-
weise in der Gebrauchsanleitung zu Ihrem
Betriebssystem.
Jegliche Garantie-, Gewährleistungs- und Schadensersatzan
sprüche sind ausgeschlossen, wenn in Märklin-Produkten nicht
von Märklin freigegebene Fremdteile eingebaut werden und /
oder Märklin-Produkte umgebaut werden und die eingebauten
Fremdteile bzw. der Umbau für sodann aufgetretene Mängel und
/ oder Schäden ursächlich war. Die Darlegungs- und Beweislast
dafür, dass der Einbau von Fremdteilen oder der Umbau in bzw.
von Märklin-Produkten für aufgetretene Mängel und / oder Schä-
den nicht ursächlich war, trägt die für den Ein- und / oder Umbau
verantwortliche Person und / oder Firma bzw. der Kunde.

d’emploi en ce qui concerne le système
d’exploitation.
Tout recours à une garantie commerciale ou contractuelle ou à
une demande de dommages-intérêt est exclu si des pièces non
autorisées par Märklin sont intégrées dans les produits Märklin
et / ou si les produits Märklin sont transformés et que les pièces
d’autres fabricants montées ou la transformation constituent
la cause des défauts et / ou dommages apparus. C’est à la

voorziening gelijktijdig gevoed worden.

Elke aanspraak op garantie en schadevergoeding is uitgesloten,
wanneer in Märklin-producten niet door Märklin vrijgegeven
vreemde onderdelen ingebouwd en / of Märklin-producten om-
gebouwd worden en de ingebouwde vreemde onderdelen resp.
de ombouw oorzaak van nadien opgetreden defecten en / of
schade was. De aantoonplicht en de bewijslijst daaromtrent, dat
de inbouw van vreemde onderdelen in Märklin-producten of de
ombouw van Märklin-producten niet de oorzaak van opgetreden
defecten en / of schade is geweest, berust bij de voor de inbouw
en/of ombouw verantwoordelijke persoon en / of firma danwel
