Intended use
This product is suitable for use as a me-
morial candle inside a standard grave
lantern. The product is not intended for
commercial use.
Not suitable for ordinary
lighting in household
room illumination.

General safety
instructions
Please familiarise yourself with all
operating and safety instructions be-
fore using this product! When pass-
ing this product on to others, please
also include all the documents!
This appliance can be used by chil-
dren aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the ap-
pliance in a safe way and under-
stand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without
supervision.
Do not expose the grave light to di-
rect weather effects, always place
inside a standard grave lantern.

Always protect the device against
moisture and humidity. Do not put
this device in water or other liquids.
Battery safety
information

Batteries are not intended for chil-
dren. If accidentally swallowed seek
immediate medical attention!

Never recharge non-
rechargeable batteries, shortcircuit
and/ or open batteries!
Never throw batteries into fire or
water!
Do not exert mechanical loads to
batteries!
Risk of battery leakage
In the event of a battery leak, imme-
diately remove it from the device to
prevent damage!

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes
and mucous membranes! In the
event of contact with battery acid,
thoroughly flush the affected area
with plenty of clean water and seek
immediate medical attention!
Only use the same type of batteries!
Do not mix used and new batteries!
Avoid extreme conditions and tem-
peratures which may impact batter-
ies, e.g. radiators!
Remove batteries from the device
after extended periods of non-use!
Risk of equipment damage
Only use the specified battery type!
When inserting the battery ensure
the correct polarity! This is shown in
the battery compartment!
If necessary, clean the batteries and
device contacts before inserting
batteries!
Promptly remove drained batteries
from the product!

Initial use
Remove the grave light cover 1
from the grave light housing 2. It is
clipped on.
Remove the small polystyrene block
inside. This is only for transport
safety.
Remove the battery casing 6and
slide off the battery casing cover 5.
This is clipped on.
Carefully remove the battery com-
partment 7.
Remove the insulating strip inside.
This is only for transport safety.
Slide the battery compartment back
into the battery casing and replace
the battery casing cover.
Place the battery casing back inside
the grave light housing.
Switch on the grave light using the
ON/OFF switch 4(setting ON) or
off (setting OFF).
The LED will flicker to simulate can-
dlelight.

Close the grave light housing with
the grave light cover.
Replacing batteries
Note: when using alkaline batteries the
batteries should be replaced approxi-
mately every 180 days.
To do so, remove the grave light
cover 1from the grave light hous-
ing 2and remove the battery
housing 6.
Switch the grave light off with the
ON/OFF switch 4(setting OFF).
Carefully remove the battery casing
cover 5.
Remove the battery compartment 7
from the battery casing.
Remove the old batteries and insert
fresh batteries. Ensure correct polarity.
This is shown in the battery compart-
ment.
Reassemble all parts. The grave light
is now operational again.

Cleaning and Care
Switch off the grave light and
remove batteries before cleaning.
Use a dry, soft and lint-free cloth for
cleaning and care.
Use a slightly dampened cloth and
mild washing-up liquid to remove
stubborn dirt.
Disposal instructions
The packaging is made of en-
vironmentally friendly materi-
als, which may be disposed
through your local recycling
facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal
authority for more details on how to
dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environ-
ment, please dispose of the
product properly when it has

reached the end of its useful
life and not in the household
waste. Information on collec-
tion points and their opening
hours can be obtained from
your local authority.
Defective or used batteries must be
recycled in accordance with Directive
2006/ 66/ EC. Return batteries
and/ or the device to the provided
recycling facilities.
Improper disposal of
batteries can harm the
environment!
Never dispose of batteries in your
household waste. They may contain
toxic heavy metals and are subject to
hazardous waste regulations. The chemi-
cal symbols of the heavy metals are:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb =
lead. Therefore dispose of used batteries
through your municipal collection site.

Warranty
The device has been manufactured to
strict quality guidelines and meticulously
examined before delivery. In the event of
product defects you have legal rights
against the retailer of this product. Your
legal rights are not limited in any way by
our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this device is 3 years
from the date of purchase. Should this
device show any fault in materials or
manufacture within 3 years from the
date
of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at
our
choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date
of pur
chase. Please keep the original sales
receipt in a safe location.
This document is
required as your proof of purchase. This
warranty becomes void if the device has
been damaged or improperly used or
maintained.

cover product parts subject to normal
