REMOVAL AND RE-IN TALLATION
Retain all fasteners and parts. Most will be re-
used. Four M6 x 16 crews and Collars are supplied.
Installation of windscreen will be in reverse order
of removal.
Position stock windscreen in highest position.
1. Move mirror forwar . Lift rubber sleeve to expose insi e
attachment point. Repeat on opposite si e.
2. Gently pry “bracket” over hex bolt to in or er to remove
har ware hol ing front bo y panel in place. Repeat on
opposite si e. Figure 1. (10mm Box Wrench)
To avoid hardware dropping into mirror cavity
stuff a small cloth under hardware! Item (A)
3. Remove har ware hol ing front panel in place. Repeat
on opposite si e.

APPLICATION OF RAINZIP TREATMENT
Quantum™ hardcoat friendly
To keep your new windscreen clear for many years,
National Cycle has applied their exclusive Quantum™
scratch resistant hardcoat. And, to help keep the screen
clearer in the rain National Cycle treated this pecial
Edition windscreen with their exclusive RainZip® rain repel-
lant. RainZip is hydrophobic. In other words, it is afraid of
water, when water hits the surface of the screen it beads
up, so at 40 mph the wind pushes the water off.
The time in which you will need to reapply this coating will
depend riding conditions. If you use your bike regularly
after about 3 months you may notice the treatment not
working as effectively. When this happens, first clean your
windshield throughly, then buff with a microfiber soft cloth
or unused soft chamois. Buffing the windshield will “re-
new” the RainZip® treatment.
Around 5 months you may want to reapply the RainZip®
treatment. Order RainZip treatment N1410-01 when you
are ready to apply to windscreen.
For your convenience we have included one, 3oz bottle
N1410 RainZip Treatment with your pecial Edition
V tream windscreen. Apply as directed.
1. Clean the windshield thoroughly with National Cycle
hield Wash (N1401-01) or mild soap and water.
2. hake bottle and apply RainZip treatment liberally using
the white synthetic cloth supplied, not an ordinary cloth or
paper towel.
3. Let dry until surface becomes white.
4. Wipe clean with circular motions using the microfiber
cloth.

7. Install the ie cut Foam Pa s (item 5). Clean the insi e
surface of the fairing with a mil etergent an water. Dry
throughly. Do not use wax or polish. Figure 7

#1008 as in icate in figure 7. Use stock har ware in other
locations.

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning: Wash with a clean soft cloth, plenty of warm water and, if necessary, a non-abrasive soap such as dish-
washing liquid. Flannel or soft chamois make good cleaning cloths. Do not use rain protective products on the screen
due to the solvent action of the alcohol in these products. Do not allow brake fluid, alcohol, or strong solvents to con-
tact the screen. Refer to page three for information about RainZip hydrophobic treatment.
National Cycle Windshield Wash Part number N1401 is recommended for everyday cleaning. Product is supplied with
a handy travel size container and rag for easy storage on the motorcycle.

Never ride your motorcycle with loose accessory mounting hardware. Check the hardware for tightness regularly.
Today's motorcycles are built with enough frame rigidity to withstand the moderate loads imposed on them by the foreseeable addi-
tion of an accessory(ies). If an accessory(ies) adversely affects your motorcycle's stability, immediately remove the accessory(ies).
Do not ride a motorcycle that exhibits unsafe handling traits.

National Cycle hereby warrants to the original registered owner of a National Cycle polycarbonate wind-
shield for a period of three years from the date of purchase against breakage. This limited warranty is
expressly limited to the replacement of the polycarbonate windscreen. This limited warranty does not
include scratches, coating failure, cosmetic wear and tear, replacement of hardware, or any consequential
damages or expenses including labor cost of installation, removal and/or replacement, inconvenience,
inbound freight expenses or damage to any other component of the motorcycle or any other accessories.
Certain chemicals, generally known as acidic hydrocarbons, are known to cause polycarbonate damage and will not be covered
under this limited warranty. Please refer to the cleaning instructions supplied with all National Cycle windshields.

Here are helpful trouble shooting tips if fin the range limite :
1. If this is an ol er motorcycle, the a juster coul be frozen. Check mechanism insi e fairing.
2. Use the har ware supplie in Bag#1008 uring the installation. The stock bolts pinch own on the shiel not alllow-
ing it to move.
3. To lower the shiel , first, it must be raise to the highest position to allow the a juster to release. Then it can be
lowere .
4. The support pa s in place on your new VStream win shiel make it a little har er to move the shiel until they are
“broken in”.
