Passthrough End User License Agreement
This section governs the use of the Red Hat Software and any updates
to the Red Hat Software, regardless of the delivery mechanism and is
governed by the laws of the state of New York in the U.S.A. The Red Hat
Software is a collective work under U.S. Copyright Law. Subject to the
following terms, Red Hat, Inc. ("Red Hat") grants to the user ("Customer" a
license to this collective work pursuant to the GNU General Public License.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (the "Red Hat Software") is a modular operating
system consisting of hundreds of software components. The end user
license agreement for each component is located in the component’s

using Red Hat’s trademarks. If Customer makes a commercial redistribution
of the Red Hat Software, unless a separate agreement with Red Hat is
executed or other permission granted, then Customer must modify any
files identified as "REDHAT-LOGOS" and "anaconda-images" to remove
all images containing the "Red Hat" trademark or the "Shadowman" logo.
As required by U.S. law, Customer represents and warrants that it: (a)
understands that the Software is subject to export controls under the U.S.
Commerce Department’s Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"); (b)
is not located in a prohibited destination country under the EAR or U.S.
sanctions regulations (currently Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan
and Syria); (c) will not export, re-export, or transfer the Software to any
prohibited destination, entity, or individual without the necessary export

This document describes how to apply a software Maintenance Release
upgrade to an MCS 5100 Release 4.0 system.
For information about upgrading from Release 3.x to 4.0, see MCS

For information about installing a new MCS system, see MCS Installation

For information about upgrading a Media Application Server (MAS), see

The upgrade preserves configuration data for the already-installed services.

Before you begin
Read this before beginning the upgrade.
Overview The following sections describe materials and information that you must
have available before beginning the upgrade:
•"Software" (page 19)
•"Passwords" (page 20)
•"License key" (page 20)
•"Customer-specific information" (page 21)
•"System backups" (page 21)
In addition, ensure that:
•No other maintenance or provisioning activities are pending, and no
such activities are planned for the duration of the upgrade.
•You have a detailed knowledge of your network configuration.
•You have proficiency using Linux operating system commands.
•You have access and privileges to the network.
•You have authority or immediate access to people with authority to make
decisions about any issues that arise.
Software Ensure that all applicable software is on-site before beginning the upgrade.
The software for the upgrade is delivered on a set of CDs and DVDs,
accompanied by a set of MCS 5100 Release Notes.
CDs and DVDs are read from the internal DVD-ROM drive. CDs and DVDs
are accessed using the Linux command: mount /mnt/cdrom.
