Die Gebrauchsanweisung gibt Ihnen wichtige Informationen für das Anpas
sen und Anlegen der Sprunggelenkbandage Malleo Sensa 50S5.
2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
2.1 Verwendungszweck
Die Bandage ist ausschließlich zur orthetischen Versorgung des Sprung
gelenks einzusetzen und ausschließlich für den Kontakt mit intakter Haut
bestimmt.
Die Bandage muss indikationsgerecht eingesetzt werden.
2.2 Indikationen
• Postoperative und posttraumatische Reizzustände
• Gelenkergüsse und periartikuläre Schwellungen bei Arthrose oder Ar
thritis
• Tendomyopathien
• Bänderschwächen
• Instabilitätsgefühl
Die Indikation wird vom Arzt gestellt.
2.3 Kontraindikationen
2.3.1 Absolute Kontraindikationen
Nicht bekannt.
2.3.2 Relative Kontraindikationen
Bei nachfolgenden Indikationen ist eine Rücksprache mit dem Arzt erforder
lich: Hauterkrankungen/-verletzungen, Entzündungen, aufgeworfene Narben

mit Schwellung, Rötung und Überwärmung im versorgten Körperabschnitt;
Lymphabfluss-Störungen – auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern
des Hilfsmittels; Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen im Bereich des
Fußes.
2.4 Wirkungsweise
Die formgestrickte Bandage mit integrierter formstabiler Pelotte bewirkt eine
Kompression des Sprunggelenks. Die Bandage unterstützt die Sensomoto
rik und aktiviert so die muskuläre Stabilisierung.
3 Sicherheit

4 Handhabung
INFORMATION
►Die tägliche Tragedauer und der Anwendungszeitraum werden in der
Regel vom Arzt festgelegt.
►Die erstmalige Anpassung und Anwendung des Produkts darf nur
durch Fachpersonal erfolgen.
►Weisen Sie den Patienten in die Handhabung und Pflege des Produkts
ein.
►Weisen Sie den Patienten darauf hin, dass er umgehend einen Arzt
aufsuchen soll, wenn er außergewöhnliche Veränderungen an sich
feststellt (z.B. Zunahme der Beschwerden).
4.1 Auswählen der Größe
1) Den Umfang oberhalb des Knöchels messen.
2) Die Bandagengröße ermitteln (siehe Größentabelle).
4.2 Anlegen
VORSICHT
Falsches oder zu festes Anlegen
Hautirritationen durch Überwärmung, lokale Druckerscheinungen durch zu
festes Anliegen am Körper
►Stellen Sie das korrekte Anlegen und den korrekten Sitz des Produkts
sicher.
►Verwenden Sie das Produkt bei auftretenden Hautirritationen im Zwei
felsfall nicht weiter.
HINWEIS
Verwendung eines verschlissenen oder beschädigten Produkts
Eingeschränkte Wirkung
►Prüfen Sie das Produkt vor jedem Gebrauch auf Funktionstüchtigkeit,
Verschleiß und Beschädigungen.
►Verwenden Sie ein nicht mehr funktionstüchtiges, verschlissenes oder
beschädigtes Produkt nicht weiter.
Die L-förmige Pelotte markiert die Außenseite des Sprunggelenks.
1) Die Bandage soweit umschlagen, dass die Ferse greifbar ist (siehe
Abb.1).
2) Die Bandage bis zur Ferse über den Fuß ziehen (siehe Abb.2).

3) Den umgeschlagenen Teil der Bandage zurückschlagen bzw. nach oben
abrollen (siehe Abb.3).
4) Die Bandage hochziehen, so dass die Knöchel in den Aussparungen der
Pelotten liegen (siehe Abb.4).
5) Bei Abgabe der Bandage an den Patienten sind die Passform und der
richtige Sitz der Bandage zu überprüfen.
4.3 Reinigung
HINWEIS
Verwendung falscher Reinigungsmittel
Beschädigung des Produktes durch falsche Reinigungsmittel
►Reinigen Sie das Produkt nur mit den zugelassenen Reinigungsmitteln.
Die Bandage regelmäßig reinigen:
1) Empfehlung: Waschbeutel oder -netz verwenden.
2) Die Bandage in 30°C warmen Wasser mit einem handelsüblichen Fein
waschmittel waschen. Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. Gut ausspülen.
3) An der Luft trocknen lassen. Keine direkte Hitzeeinwirkung (z.B. Son
nenbestrahlung, Ofen- oder Heizkörperhitze).
5 Entsorgung
Das Produkt gemäß den geltenden nationalen Vorschriften entsorgen.
6 Rechtliche Hinweise
Alle rechtlichen Bedingungen unterliegen dem jeweiligen Landesrecht des
Verwenderlandes und können dementsprechend variieren.
6.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und
Anweisungen in diesem Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch
Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbesondere durch unsachgemäße

These instructions for use provide important information on the fitting and
application of the 50S5 Malleo Sensa ankle support.
2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The support is intended exclusively for orthotic fittings of the ankle and
exclusively for contact with intact skin.
The support must be used according to the indication.
2.2 Indications
• Postoperative and posttraumatic irritation
• Joint effusion and periarticular swelling in case of arthrosis or arthritis
• Tendomyopathy
• Ligament weakness
• Feeling of instability
The indication must be determined by the physician.
2.3 Contraindications
2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications
None known.
2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin dis
eases/injuries, inflammation, prominent scars that are swollen, reddening
and hyperthermia of the fitted limb/body area; lymphatic flow disorders,
including unclear soft tissue swelling distant to the body area to which the

medical device will be applied; sensory and circulatory disorders in the foot
area.
2.4 Mechanism of Action
The form-knitted support with integrated shape-retaining pad provides ankle
compression. The support promotes sensorimotor functions and thereby
activates muscular stabilization.
3 Safety

4 Handling
INFORMATION
►The daily duration of use and period of application are generally deter
mined by the physician.
►The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by
qualified personnel.
►Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
►Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional
changes are noted (e.g. worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Selecting the Size
1) Measure the circumference above the ankle.
2) Determine the size of the support (see size chart).
4.2 Application
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Skin irritation due to overheating, local pressure points due to tight appli
cation to the body
►Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
►When in doubt, do not continue to use the product if skin irritation
occurs.
NOTICE
Use of a worn or damaged product

►Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for
possible wear or damage.
►Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is
worn or damaged.
The L-shaped pad marks the outside of the ankle.
1) Fold the support down enough so the heel can be grasped (see fig.1).
2) Pull the support over the foot up to the heel (see fig.2).
3) Unfold the section of the support that was folded over, i.e. unroll it
upwards (see fig.3).
4) Pull up the support so that the openings in the pads are over the ankle
bones (see fig.4).

5) When the patient is given the support, it must be checked for proper fit
and positioning.
4.3 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
►Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the support regularly:
1) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.
2) Wash the support in warm water at 30°C (86°F) with standard mild
detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly.
3) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat (e.g.sunshine, stove or
radiator).
5 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
6 Legal Information
All legal conditions are subject to the respective national law of the country
of use and may vary accordingly.
6.1 Liability
The manufacturer shall be liable in the event that the product is used in
accordance with the descriptions and instructions in this document. The

2 Utilisation conforme
2.1 Usage prévu
L’orthèse est destinée exclusivement à un appareillage orthétique de la
cheville et uniquement à un contact avec une peau saine.
Il est impératif d’utiliser l’orthèse conformément aux indications.
2.2 Indications
• États inflammatoires postopératoires et post-traumatiques
• Épanchements articulaires et gonflements péri-articulaires en cas
d’arthrose ou d’arthrite
• Tendinopathies
• Faiblesse des ligaments
• Sensation d’instabilité
L’indication est déterminée par le médecin.
2.3 Contre-indications
2.3.1 Contre-indications absolues
Inconnues.
2.3.2 Contre-indications relatives
Les indications suivantes requièrent la consultation d’un médecin: lésions
ou affections cutanées, inflammations, cicatrices exubérantes avec œdème,
rougeurs et échauffement excessif dans la zone du corps appareillée,
troubles de la circulation lymphatique et également œdèmes inexpliqués des
parties molles dans la partie distale de l’orthèse, troubles de la perception et
de la circulation sanguine du pied.

2.4 Effets thérapeutiques
Cette orthèse de forme anatomique et sa pelote stable intégrée permet de
comprimer la cheville. L’orthèse favorise la sensorimotricité et stimule ainsi
la stabilisation musculaire.

4 Manipulation
INFORMATION
►En général, le médecin détermine la durée quotidienne du port du pro
duit et sa période d’utilisation.
►Seul le personnel spécialisé est habilité à procéder au premier ajuste
ment et à la première utilisation du produit.
►Apprenez au patient comment manipuler et entretenir correctement le
produit.
►Indiquez au patient qu'il doit immédiatement consulter un médecin s'il
constate des changements anormaux sur sa personne (par ex. une
augmentation des douleurs).
4.1 Sélection de la taille
1) Mesurez la circonférence au-dessus de la malléole.
2) Sélectionnez la taille de l’orthèse (voir tableau des mesures et des
tailles).
4.2 Mise en place

La pelote en forme de L permet de repérer la face correspondant à la face
extérieure de la cheville.
1) Retroussez l’orthèse jusqu’à l’emplacement du talon (voir ill.1).
2) Enfilez l’orthèse sur le pied jusqu’au niveau du talon (voir ill.2).

3) Rabattez ou déroulez vers le haut la partie retroussée de l’orthèse (voir
ill.3).
4) Tirez l’orthèse vers le haut jusqu’à ce que les malléoles soient placées
dans les évidements des pelotes (voir ill.4).
5) Lorsque vous remettez l’orthèse au patient, vérifiez qu’elle est bien posi
tionnée et adaptée à la morphologie du patient.
4.3 Nettoyage
AVIS
Utilisation de détergents inadaptés
Dégradation du produit occasionnée par l’utilisation d’un détergent in
adapté
►Nettoyez le produit uniquement avec les détergents autorisés.
Nettoyez l’orthèse régulièrement:
1) Recommandation: utilisez un sac ou un filet de lavage.
2) Lavez l’orthèse à 30°C avec une lessive pour linge délicat disponible
dans le commerce. N’utilisez pas d’assouplissant. Rincez bien.
3) Laissez sécher à l’air. Évitez toute exposition directe à la chaleur (parex.
les rayons du soleil et la chaleur des poêles et des radiateurs).
5 Mise au rebut
Éliminez le produit conformément aux prescriptions nationales en vigueur.
6 Informations légales
Toutes les conditions légales sont soumises à la législation nationale du
pays d’utilisation concerné et peuvent donc présenter des variations en
conséquence.

disturbi del flusso linfatico inclusi gonfiori dei tessuti molli non identificati, in

dipendentemente dall'area del corpo in cui è applicata l'ortesi; disturbi della
sensibilità e circolatori nella regione del piede.
2.4 Azione terapeutica
La fascia dal design anatomico e con robusta pelotta integrata svolge una
compressione mirata dell'articolazione della caviglia. La fascia supporta le
funzioni sensomotorie e aumenta la stabilizzazione muscolare.

4 Utilizzo

►La prima applicazione del prodotto e il relativo adattamento al corpo
del paziente devono essere eseguiti esclusivamente da personale spe
cializzato.
►Istruire il paziente circa l'uso e la cura corretti del prodotto.
►Il paziente deve essere informato della necessità di recarsi immediata
mente da un medico nel caso in cui notasse cambiamenti inusuali
(p.es. aumento dei disturbi).
4.1 Scelta della misura
1) Misurare la circonferenza al di sopra della caviglia.
2) Determinare la misura del bendaggio (vedere tabella misure).
4.2 Applicazione

►Accertarsi che il prodotto sia stato applicato e rimanga posizionato in

►Nel dubbio, non utilizzare più il prodotto se insorgono irritazioni cuta

Utilizzo di un prodotto usurato o danneggiato
Azione limitata
►Verificare la funzionalità, l'usura e l'eventuale danneggiamento del pro
dotto prima di ogni utilizzo.
►Non utilizzare più un prodotto non funzionante, usurato o danneggiato.
La pelotta ad L aderisce al lato esterno dell'articolazione della caviglia.
1) Rivoltare la fascia sino a quando è possibile afferrare il tallone (v. fig.1).
2) Infilare la fascia sul piede sino al tallone (v. fig.2).
3) Piegare nuovamente indietro o srotolare verso l'alto la parte rivoltata del
la fascia (v. fig.3).
4) Tirare verso l'alto la fascia sino a quando la caviglia si trova nelle apertu
re delle pelotte (v. fig.4).
5) Consegnando la fascia al paziente controllare che si adatti alla forma del
corpo per una perfetta vestibilità.

4.3 Pulizia
AVVISO
Utilizzo di detergenti inappropriati
Danni al prodotto dovuti a detergenti inappropriati
►Pulire il prodotto usando esclusivamente i detergenti autorizzati.
Pulire regolarmente la cintura.
1) Suggerimento: per il lavaggio utilizzare una rete o un sacchetto per
biancheria.

2 Uso previsto
2.1 Uso previsto
Esta órtesis debe emplearse exclusivamente para el tratamiento de la arti
culación tibiotarsiana y está prevista exclusivamente para el contacto con
piel intacta.
El correaje debe utilizarse según la indicación del médico.
2.2 Indicaciones
• Estados de irritación posoperatorios o postraumáticos
• Derrames articulares e hinchazones periarticulares en casos de artrosis
o artritis
• Tendomiopatías
• Debilidad de los ligamentos
• Sensación de inestabilidad
El médico será quien determine la indicación.
2.3 Contraindicaciones
2.3.1 Contraindicaciones absolutas

2.3.2 Contraindicaciones relativas
Los usuarios que presenten alguna de las siguientes indicaciones deberán
consultar a su médico: enfermedades o lesiones de la piel; inflamaciones;
cicatrices con hinchazón, enrojecimiento y sobrecalentamiento en la región
corporal que se va a tratar; trastornos del flujo linfático (incluidas las hincha
zones difusas de partes blandas alejadas del medio auxiliar); alteraciones
sensitivas y circulatorias en la zona del pie.
2.4 Modo de funcionamiento
Esta órtesis anatómica con almohadilla de forma estable integrada compri
me la articulación tibiotarsiana. Favorece la función sensomotora, activando
así la estabilización muscular.
