1.1 Konstruktion und Funktion
Dieses Dokument gilt für folgende Produkte: R11 Renegade AT, R16 Rene
gade LP-AT
Der Prothesenfuß verfügt über Federelemente aus Carbon. Die Fersenstei
figkeit kann mit einem Fersenkeil erhöht werden.
1.2 Kombinationsmöglichkeiten
Diese Prothesenkomponente ist kompatibel mit dem Ottobock Modularsys
tem. Die Funktionalität mit Komponenten anderer Hersteller, die über kom
patible modulare Verbindungselemente verfügen, wurde nicht getestet.

Der Prothesenfuß erzeugt hohe Momente im Knöchelbereich. Verwenden

2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
2.1 Verwendungszweck
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die exoprothetische Versorgung der unte
ren Extremität einzusetzen.
2.2 Einsatzgebiet
Unsere Komponenten funktionieren optimal, wenn sie mit geeigneten Kom
ponenten kombiniert werden, ausgewählt auf Basis von Körpergewicht und
Mobilitätsgrad, die mit unserer MOBIS Klassifizierungsinformation identifi
zierbar sind, und die über passende modulare Verbindungselemente verfü
gen.

Das Produkt ist ein Verschleißteil, das einer üblichen Abnutzung unterliegt.

5.1 Aufbau
INFORMATION
Ein Schutz aus Kunststoff befindet sich am Justierkern des Produkts. Er
schützt den Anschlussbereich während des Aufbaus und der Anprobe der
Prothese vor Kratzern.
►Entfernen Sie den Schutz bevor der Patient den Werkstatt-/Anprobebe
reich verlässt.
5.1.1 Fußhülle aufziehen/entfernen
VORSICHT
Verwenden des Prothesenfußes ohne Sohlenplatte
Verletzungsgefahr durch Funktionsverlust des Prothesenfußes
►Verwenden Sie den Prothesenfuß nur mit Sohlenplatte.
►Verwenden Sie getrennte Schutzsocken für Sohlenplatte und Prothe
senfuß.

INFORMATION
►Ziehen Sie die Schutzsocke über den Prothesenfuß, um Geräusche in
der Fußhülle zu vermeiden.
►Verwenden Sie den Prothesenfuß immer mit Fußhülle.

1) Bei Füßen mit separater Sohlenplatte: Die Sohlenplatte in die Fuß
hülle einsetzen. Die Sohlenplatte ist von einer Schutzsocke umgeben.
2) Eine Schutzsocke über den Prothesenfuß ziehen.
3) Den Prothesenfuß in die Fußhülle einschieben.
4) Die Ferse des Prothesenfußes in die Fußhülle drücken, bis sie einrastet.
5.1.2 Grundaufbau

Ablauf des Grundaufbaus
Benötigte Materialien: Goniometer 662M4, Absatzhöhenmessgerät 743S12,
50:50Lehre 743A80, Aufbaugerät (z.B. L.A.S.A.R. Assembly 743L200 oder
PROS.A. Assembly 743A200)
Die Prothesenkomponenten gemäß der folgenden Angaben im Aufbaugerät montieren
und ausrichten:
  Dorsalflexion/Plantarflexion: Den Prothesenfuß auf die Absatzhöhe des
Schuhs einstellen. (Der Prothesenfuß ist für Schuhe mit 10mm Absatzhöhe
ausgelegt.)
  Adduktion/Abduktion: Den Winkel des Prothesenschafts in der Frontalebe
ne einstellen.
  Flexion/Extension: Den Winkel des Prothesenschafts in der Sagittalebene
einstellen.
  Lineares Verschieben des Prothesenschafts: Den Prothesenschaft so ver
schieben, dass die Lotlinie entlang der vorderen Kante des Adapters am Pro
thesenfuß verläuft (siehe Abb.1).

►Die Angaben in der Gebrauchsanweisung des Prothesenkniegelenks
beachten.
5.1.3 Statischer Aufbau
• Ottobock empfiehlt den Aufbau der Prothese mit Hilfe des
L.A.S.A.R.Posture zu kontrollieren und bei Bedarf anzupassen.

5.1.4 Dynamische Anprobe
• Den Aufbau der Prothese in der Frontalebene und der Sagittalebene an
passen (z.B. durch Winkeländerung oder Verschiebung), um eine opti
male Schrittabwicklung sicherzustellen.
•TT-Versorgungen: Bei der Lastübernahme nach dem Fersenauftritt auf
eine physiologische Kniebewegung in Sagittal- und Frontalebene ach
ten. Eine Bewegung des Kniegelenks nach medial vermeiden. Bewegt
sich das Kniegelenk in der ersten Standphasenhälfte nach medial, dann
den Prothesenfuß nach medial verschieben. Geschieht die Bewegung
nach medial in der zweiten Standphasenhälfte, dann die Außenrotation
des Prothesenfußes reduzieren.
• Entfernen Sie den Schutz aus Kunststoff nach Abschluss der dynami
schen Anprobe und der Gehübungen vom Justierkern.

5.1.4.1 Fersencharakteristik optimieren
Das Verhalten des Prothesenfußes beim Fersenauftritt und beim Fersenkon
takt während der mittleren Standphase kann durch Platzieren eines Fersen

keils angepasst werden. Der Fersenkeil wird probeweise mit Klebeband be
festigt. Für die definitive Montage, wird er mit dem Prothesenfuß verklebt.
Anprobe
1) Das beiliegende doppelseitige Klebeband auf der Unterseite des Fer
senkeils platzieren.
2) Den Fersenkeil an der empfohlenen Position auf der Basisfeder platzie
ren.
3) Optional: Den Fersenkeil an der Oberseite kürzen, wenn der Fersenauf
tritt zu hart ist.
Definitive Montage
1) Das Klebeband vom Fersenkeil entfernen. Dazu kann ein Lappen mit
Aceton verwendet werden.
2) Die Kontaktfläche auf dem Prothesenfuß mit Schleifpapier etwas aufrau
en. Den Schleifstaub entfernen.
3) Den Fersenkeil mit Kontaktkleber auf den Prothesenfuß kleben.
6 Reinigung
>Zulässiges Reinigungsmittel: pH-neutrale Seife (z.B. Derma Clean
453H10)
1) HINWEIS! Verwenden Sie nur die zulässigen Reinigungsmittel, um
Produktschäden zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt mit klarem Süßwasser und pH-neutraler Seife reinigen.
2) Wenn vorhanden: Konturen zum Wasserablauf mit einem Zahnstocher
von Schmutz befreien und ausspülen.
3) Die Seifenreste mit klarem Süßwasser abspülen. Dabei die Fußhülle so
oft ausspülen, bis alle Verschmutzungen entfernt sind.
4) Das Produkt mit einem weichen Tuch abtrocknen.
5) Die Restfeuchtigkeit an der Luft trocknen lassen.
7 Wartung
►Die Prothesenkomponenten nach den ersten 30Tagen Gebrauch einer
Sichtprüfung und Funktionsprüfung unterziehen.
►Die komplette Prothese während der normalen Konsultation auf Abnut
zung überprüfen.
►Das Produkt alle 6 Monate auf sichtbare Schäden untersuchen. Bei Be
darf (z.B. bei hochaktiven oder schwereren Benutzern) zusätzliche In
spektionstermine vereinbaren.

8 Entsorgung
Das Produkt darf nicht überall mit unsortiertem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Eine unsachgemäße Entsorgung kann sich schädlich auf die Umwelt und
die Gesundheit auswirken. Beachten Sie die Angaben der zuständigen Be
hörde Ihres Landes zu Rückgabe, Sammel- und Entsorgungsverfahren.
9 Rechtliche Hinweise
Alle rechtlichen Bedingungen unterliegen dem jeweiligen Landesrecht des
Verwenderlandes und können dementsprechend variieren.
9.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und
Anweisungen in diesem Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch
Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbesondere durch unsachgemäße
Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verursacht werden,

1.1 Construction and Function
This document applies to the following products: R11 Renegade AT, R16
Renegade LP-AT
The prosthetic foot has carbon spring elements. The heel stiffness can be
increased with a heel wedge.
1.2 Combination possibilities
This prosthetic component is compatible with Ottobock's system of modular
connectors. Functionality with components of other manufacturers that have
compatible modular connectors has not been tested.
Limited combination options for Ottobock components
The prosthetic foot generates high moments in the ankle area. Use structural
components with higher weight limits:

2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The product is intended exclusively for lower limb exoprosthetic fittings.
2.2 Area of application
Our components perform optimally when paired with appropriate compon
ents based upon weight and mobility grades identifiable by our MOBIS clas
sification information and which have appropriate modular connectors.

5 Preparing the product for use
CAUTION

5.1 Alignment
INFORMATION
There is a plastic protector on the product's pyramid. It protects the con
necting section from scratches during the alignment and fitting of the pros
thesis.
►Remove the protector before the patient leaves the workshop/fitting
area.
5.1.1 Applying/removing the footshell
CAUTION
Using the prosthetic foot without a sole plate
Risk of injury due to loss of functionality of the prosthetic foot
►Only use the prosthetic foot with the sole plate.
►Use separate protective socks for the sole plate and prosthetic foot.
INFORMATION
►Pull the protective sock over the prosthetic foot to prevent noises in the
footshell.
►Always use the prosthetic foot with the footshell.

1) For feet with separate sole plate: Insert the sole plate into the foot
shell. The sole plate is covered by a protective sock.
2) Pull a protective sock over the prosthetic foot.
3) Slide the prosthetic foot into the footshell.
4) Press the heel of the prosthetic foot into the footshell until it engages.
5.1.2 Bench Alignment

Bench alignment process
Required materials: 662M4 goniometer, 743S12 heel height measuring device,
743A80 50:50gauge, alignment tool (e.g.743L200 L.A.S.A.R. Assembly or 743A200
PROS.A. Assembly)
Assemble and align the prosthetic components in the alignment apparatus according
to the following specifications:
  Dorsiflexion/plantar flexion: Adjust the prosthetic foot to the heel height of
the shoe. (The prosthetic foot is designed for shoes with a heel height of
10mm.)
  Adduction/abduction: Adjust the angle of the prosthetic socket in the front
al plane.
  Flexion/extension: Adjust the angle of the prosthetic socket in the sagittal
plane.
  Linear shifting of the prosthetic socket: Shift the prosthetic socket so that
the plumb line runs along the front edge of the adapter on the prosthetic foot
(see fig.1).
TF bench alignment
►Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.
5.1.3 Static Alignment
• Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis using
the L.A.S.A.R.Posture and adapting it as needed.
5.1.4 Dynamic Trial Fitting
• Adapt the alignment of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal
plane (e.g.by making angle or slide adjustments) to ensure an optimum
gait pattern.

•TT fittings: Make sure that physiological knee movement in the sagittal
and frontal plane is achieved when the leg begins to bear weight after
the heel strike. Avoid medial movement of the knee joint. If the knee joint
moves in the medial direction in the first half of the stance phase, move
the prosthetic foot in the medial direction. If the medial movement occurs
in the second half of the stance phase, reduce the exterior rotation of the
prosthetic foot.
• Remove the plastic protector from the pyramid after completing the
dynamic fitting and the walking exercises.
Heel too soft

5.1.4.1 Optimising the heel characteristics
The behaviour of the prosthetic foot at heel strike and during heel contact in
the mid-stance phase can be adapted with the placement of a heel wedge.
The heel wedge is attached with adhesive tape for testing. For definitive
assembly, it is glued to the prosthetic foot.

Fitting
1) Place the double-sided adhesive tape (included) on the underside of the
heel wedge.
2) Place the heel wedge on the base spring in the recommended position.
3) Optional: Shorten the heel wedge on the top if the heel strike is too
hard.
Definitive assembly
1) Remove the adhesive tape from the heel wedge. This can be done using
a cloth with acetone.
2) Roughen the contact surface on the prosthetic foot slightly using sand
paper. Remove the dust after sanding.
3) Glue the heel wedge to the prosthetic foot with contact cement.
6 Cleaning
>Allowable cleaning agent: pH neutral soap (e.g. 453H10 Derma
Clean)
1) NOTICE! To avoid product damage, only use the allowable clean
ing agents.
Clean the product with clear fresh water and a pH neutral soap.
2) If present: Remove dirt from water drainage contours using a toothpick
and rinse.
3) Rinse the soap away with clear fresh water. In doing so, rinse the foot
shell until all dirt has been removed.
4) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
5) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
7 Maintenance
►A visual inspection and functional test of the prosthetic components
should be performed after the first 30days of use.
►Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.
►Inspect the product for visible damage every six months. Make additional
inspection appointments as needed (e.g.for highly active or heavy
users).
8 Disposal
In some jurisdictions it is not permissible to dispose of the product with
unsorted household waste. Improper disposal can be harmful to health and
the environment. Observe the information provided by the responsible
