Das Produkt "Textile Haltebandage für Oberarmprothese" wird im Folgenden nur noch Pro
dukt/Bandage genannt.
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung gibt Ihnen wichtige Informationen zur Verwendung, Einstellung und
Handhabung des Produkts.
Nehmen Sie das Produkt nur gemäß den Informationen in den mitgelieferten Begleitdokumenten
in Betrieb.
2 Produktbeschreibung
2.1 Funktion
Das Produkt dient zur zusätzlichen Fixierung des Prothesenschafts.
2.2 Konstruktion
Das Produkt besteht aus folgenden Komponenten:
1. Gurt
2. Schulterlasche
3. Schulterklettverschluss
4. Ärmel
5. Ärmelklettverschluss
6. Schulterschlaufe
3 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
3.1 Verwendungszweck
Das Produkt ist zur exoprothetischen Versorgung der oberen Extremität von Jugendlichen und Er
wachsenen zu verwenden.
3.2 Einsatzbedingungen
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die Versorgung an einem Patienten vorgesehen. Der Ge
brauch des Produkts an einer weiteren Person ist von Seiten des Herstellers nicht zulässig.

Das Produkt ist für den Einsatz in Alltagsaktivitäten entwickelt. Es darf nicht für Aktivitäten ver
wendet werden, bei denen es unzulässigen Umgebungsbedingungen und Belastungen ausge
setzt wird (z.B. Extremsportarten).
Das Produkt kann mit myoelektrischen oder passiven Prothesen verwendet werden.
3.3 Indikationen
• Für Patienten mit unilateraler transhumeraler Amputation.
3.4 Kontraindikationen
• Transradiale Amputation
• Amputation im Schulterbereich
• Bilaterale Amputation
• Versorgung mit einer kraftzuggesteuerten Prothese
3.5 Weitere Nutzungseinschränkungen
• Patienten mit Maßen außerhalb der geplanten Konfektionsgrößen S, M und L
3.6 Qualifikation
Die Versorgung eines Patienten mit dem Produkt darf nur von Orthopädietechnikern vorgenom
men werden.
4 Sicherheit

►Prüfen Sie ein beschädigtes Produkt auf Funktion und Gebrauchsfähigkeit (z.B. Klettver
schlüsse, ...)
►Sorgen Sie im Bedarfsfall für geeignete Maßnahmen (z.B. Reparatur, Austausch, Kontrolle
durch den Kunden-Service des Herstellers, etc.).
HINWEIS
Unsachgemäße Pflege des Produkts
Beschädigung des Produkts durch Verwendung falscher Reinigungsmittel.
►Reinigen Sie das Produkt ausschließlich nach den Vorgaben im Kapitel "Reinigung und
Pflege" (Reinigung und Pflege).
►Das Produkt darf nur mit geschlossenem Klettverschluss und in einem Waschbeutel gewa
schen werden.
►Achten Sie darauf, das Produkt zu reinigen, um eventuelle Hautreizungen zu vermeiden.

6 Gebrauchsfähigkeit herstellen
6.1 Vorbereiten
1) Das Produkt flach auf den Tisch legen.

12) Das lose Ende des Gurtes von oben durch
die Öse der Schulterschlaufe fädeln.
INFORMATION: Der Gurt soll nicht ver
dreht sein.
3) Das lose Ende des Gurtes auf die Rücksei
te des Ärmels legen.
24) Das lose Ende mit Stecknadeln am Ärmel
feststecken.
INFORMATION: Der Gurt soll den Ärmel
um ca. 7 cm überlappen.
6.2 Anlegen
Folgende Schritte für das Anlegen des Produkts durchführen:
31) Den Ärmelklettverschluss öffnen.
2) Die Prothese zwischen den Beinen ein
klemmen (die Finger der Prothese zeigen
nach oben).
3) Den Ärmel des Produkts über die Prothese
ziehen.

44) Die Prothese umdrehen (die Finger der
Prothese zeigen nach unten).
5) Den Ärmel des Produkts über den Schaft
ziehen.
56) Die richtige Positionierung des Produkts
beachten.
67) Den Ärmel des Produkts nach oben klap
pen und das Anziehloch frei halten.
8) Den Ärmelklettverschluss schließen.
79) Die Prothese anziehen.
INFORMATION: Darauf achten, dass
keine Teile des Produkts beim Anzie
hen mit eingezogen werden.

810) Die Schulterlaschen auf die Schulter le
gen.
11) Den Schulterklettverschluss öffnen.
912) Mit der zweiten Hand die Schulterschlaufe
anlegen.
13) Den Schulterklettverschluss schließen.
6.3 Anpassen
Die richtige Größe wird aus der Tabelle ermittelt (siehe Seite2).
Kann keine eindeutige Größe ermittelt werden (Armlochumfang, Rückenbreite), so ist der Armlo
chumfang als Maß entscheidend. Die Rückenbreite kann über den Gurt eingestellt werden.
Um die Anpassung des Produkts durchzuführen müssen folgende Schritte durchgeführt werden:
10 1) Den Patienten aufstehen lassen.
→Der Patient muss stehen.
2) Das Produkt anlegen.
INFORMATION: Der Schulterklettver
schluss muss mittig im Ärmelbereich
geschlossen sein.
3) Die Position des Gurtes nachkontrollieren.
Der Gurt sollte mindestens 7 cm die Schul
terlasche überlappen.
4) Den Gurt spannen und in Absprache mit
dem Patienten feststecken. Den Ärmelklett
verschluss bei Bedarf kürzen.
INFORMATION: Der Gurt soll nicht ver
dreht sein.

11 5) Den überstehenden Gurt abschneiden.
6) Das Produkt ablegen.
12 7) Die Schnittkante des Gurtes abbrennen.
INFORMATION: Alle Fasern müssen
verschmolzen sein, um ein Auftrennen
des Gurtes zu verhindern.
13 8) Den Gurt im Rechteck annähen. Die mitge
lieferte Nähseide in die Nähmaschine ein
spannen.
9) Den Vorgang zweimal wiederholen. Den
Anfang und das Ende der Naht wird durch
das doppelte Nähen gesichert.
INFORMATION: Auf der Nähmaschine
die Stichart "gerade", mit einer Stich
länge von "2,5" auswählen.
14 10) Die Naht auf der Rückseite der Schulterla
sche auf gleichmäßiges Stichmuster kon
trollieren.
11) Die Fäden so kurz wie möglich abschnei
den, ohne die Naht zu beschädigen.

15 12) Die Naht mit Zug am Gurt auf Festigkeit
kontrollieren.
13) Das Produkt dem Patienten anlegen. Das
Produkt auf stabilen und komfortablen Sitz
prüfen.
6.4 Ablegen
Folgende Schritte für das Ablegen des Produkts durchführen:
1) Den Schulterklettverschluss öffnen.
2) Den Arm aus der Schulterschlaufe ziehen.
3) Den Schulterklettverschluss schließen.
4) Den Stumpf aus dem Schaft ziehen.
INFORMATION
Für das nächste Anlegen muss der Ärmel des Produkts nicht von der Prothese gezogen wer
den.
7 Reinigung und Pflege
►INFORMATION: Vor dem Waschen jeden Klettverschluss schließen.
1) Das Produkt bei 30°C/86°F in der Waschmaschine waschen (Programm: Pflegeleicht oder
Feinwaschgang).
2) Das Produkt auf Empfehlung mit einem Feinwaschmittel waschen.
3) Das Produkt an der Luft vollständig trocknen lassen.
INFORMATION
Die Waschsymbole am Etikett beachten.
INFORMATION
Der Trocknungsvorgang kann zwischen 12 und 24 Stunden dauern. Es empfiehlt sich ein zwei
tes Produkt zum Wechseln.
8 Rechtliche Hinweise

lowing.
These instructions for use provide you with important information on the use, adaptation and
handling of the product.
Only put the product into use in accordance with the information contained in the accompanying
documents supplied.
2 Product description
2.1 Function
The product is for additional fixation of the prosthetic socket.
2.2 Design
The product consists of the following components:

3 Intended use
3.1 Indications for use
The product is intended for upper limb exoprosthetic fittings on youths and adults.
3.2 Conditions of use
The product is intended exclusively for use on one patient. Use of the product by another person
is not approved by the manufacturer.
The product has been developed for use in everyday activities. It must not be used for activities
where it would be exposed to unallowable environmental conditions or strains (e.g. extreme
sports).
The product can be used with myoelectric or passive prostheses.
3.3 Indications
• For patients with unilateral transhumeral amputation.
3.4 Contraindications
• Transradial amputation
• Amputation in the shoulder area
• Bilateral amputation
• Fitting with a body-powered prosthesis
3.5 Further Usage Restrictions
• Patients with measurements outside the planned sizes S, M and L
3.6 Qualification
The fitting of a patient with the product may only be carried out by an O&P professional.

5 Scope of Delivery and Accessories

6 Preparing the product for use
6.1 Preparation
1) Lay the product flat on the table.
12) Thread the loose end of the strap through
the eyelet of the shoulder loop from above.
INFORMATION: Make sure the strap is
not twisted.
3) Lay the loose end of the strap onto the
back of the sleeve.
24) Secure the loose end to the sleeve with
pins.
INFORMATION: The strap should over
lap the sleeve by about 7 cm.
6.2 Application
Complete the following steps to put on the product:

31) Open the hook-and-loop closure on the
sleeve.
2) Hold the prosthesis between your legs (the
fingers of the prosthesis face up).
3) Pull the sleeve of the product over the
prosthesis.
44) Turn the prosthesis over (the fingers of the
prosthesis face down).
5) Pull the sleeve of the product over the
socket.
56) Note correct positioning of the product.
67) Fold up the sleeve of the product and keep
the donning hole clear.
8) Fasten the hook-and-loop closure on the
sleeve.

79) Put on the prosthesis.
INFORMATION: Make sure that no part
of the product is drawn in during don
ning.
810) Lay the shoulder flaps onto the shoulder.
11) Open the hook-and-loop closure on the
shoulder.
912) With the other hand, put on the shoulder
loop.
13) Fasten the hook-and-loop closure on the
shoulder.
6.3 Fitting
The correct size is determined using the table (see page2).
If a size cannot be clearly established (arm hole circumference, width of the back), the arm hole
circumference is the decisive measurement. The back width can be adjusted via the strap.
Complete the following steps to adjust the product:

10 1) Have the patient stand.
→The patient has to stand.
2) Put the product on the patient.
INFORMATION: The hook-and-loop
closure on the shoulder must be
fastened so it is centred in the area of
the sleeve.
3) Check the strap position again. The strap
should overlap the shoulder flap by at least
7cm.
4) Tighten the strap and secure it in coordina
tion with the patient. Shorten the hook-and-
loop sleeve closure if necessary.
INFORMATION: Make sure the strap is
not twisted.
11 5) Trim any excess strap.
6) Remove the product.
12 7) Melt the cut edge of the strap.
INFORMATION: All fibres must be
melted to prevent fraying of the strap.

13 8) Sew on the strap in a rectangle. Thread
the sewing machine with the supplied silk
thread.
9) Repeat this process twice. The start and
end of the seam are secured by double
sewing.
INFORMATION: On a sewing machine,
select the "straight" stitch with a stitch
length of "2.5".
14 10) Check the seam on the back of the
shoulder flap to make sure there is an even
stitch pattern.
11) Trim the threads as short as possible
without damaging the seam.
15 12) Check the strength of the seam by pulling
on the strap.
13) Put the product on the patient. Check that
the product fits firmly and comfortably.
6.4 Removal
Complete the following steps to take off the product:
1) Open the hook-and-loop closure on the shoulder.
2) Pull the arm out of the shoulder loop.
3) Fasten the hook-and-loop closure on the shoulder.
4) Pull the residual limb out of the socket.
INFORMATION
For putting it on the next time, the sleeve of the product does not have to be pulled off the pros
thesis.
7 Cleaning and Care
►INFORMATION: Fasten all hook and loop closures before washing.

1) Wash the product at 30°C/86°F in a washing machine (setting: easy care or delicates).
2) Wash the product as recommended with a mild detergent.
3) Allow the product to fully air dry.

Note the washing symbols on the label.

Drying may take between 12 and 24 hours. A second product for changing is recommended.
