Thanks for choosing DNA Payments' A920
terminal, the ideal payment solution for
processing quick transactions using WiFi or
cellular network connections. Our user guide
provides everything needed to set up, register
and process transactions on your new A920.

Installing receipt roll
You can install your A920 receipt roll quick and
easily using this guide. Carefully lift the release
catch on the terminal's receipt compartment.
Step 3
Once you've opened the compartment, simply
place the receipt roll provided with your paper
extending from underneath the roll, leaving
1cm exposed and then close the cover.
Your receipt roll is now loaded
and ready to use.

The ‘Launcher’ is displayed once your A920 has
completed its start-up process. It allows users
to configure Wi-Fi or cellular settings items
before loading the Payment application.

Your A920 terminal can support connections to
both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi networks, and you
can program it with multiple network
configurations for devices used in more than
one location. The A920 will always select Wi-Fi
as its primary connection type, where present,
with a cellular connection used as a backup. To
configure your Wi-Fi connection, use the
following steps:

Select the menu icon
on the main A920
Launcher screen and
choose Wi-Fi
Settings.

The Wi-Fi module will
be disabled by
default, as shown by
the Off message in
the header bar. To
enable Wi-Fi, simply
press the slider on
the right-hand side of
the screen.

The terminal will now
scan for the available
networks, and once
the scan is complete,
a list is displayed.

Choose your desired
network and enter
the password once
prompted. When
you've completed
this, press Connect.

The connection
process will now
begin.

Once completed,
your terminal will
finish the connection
using DHCP and
return you to the
Wi-Fi menu
displaying the status
of Connected against
your desired
network.

Select the left arrow
at the bottom of the
screen to return to
the A920 Launcher.

Your A920 also lets you use static IP details.
Please refer to the full The A920 User Guide for
more information if this is needed.

Press the button to
load the application.

The login screen will
now display. Enter
your User ID and
Password supplied
to you, and if you'd
like to save these and
automatically login in
the future, please tick
this box.

After a short while,
your A920 main
display screen will
appear.

If your login details
are incorrect, your
A920 will confirm this
using the screen
shown before
returning to the login
screen to retry.

Processing transactions
Select the Sale
button to start your
transaction.
Alternatively, process
transactions by
inserting a payment
card into the Chip
(ICC) card reader at
the terminal base.

Enter the sale
amount using the
onscreen keypad.
Your A920
automatically adds
the decimal point for
you. Select the Done
button to proceed.

If your A920 comes
configured to do so, it
will prompt the
optional provision of
a reference for the
transaction. If no
reference is required,
press the Skip
button.

If the cardholder’s
card has been
inserted previously,
skip to step 05.
Otherwise, your A920
will prompt for the
card to be presented.

Once the card's
inserted, your A920
will read proceed to
read it. Please wait
and don't remove the
card whilst in
progress.

If the cashback
feature is enabled
and a supporting
debit card's
presented, your A920
will prompt for
cashback. If yes,
press the YES button.
If no, press the NO
button and skip to
step 08.

If selected YES, enter
the desired cashback
amount. Select the
Done button to
continue.

On the Enter PIN
screen, give your
A920 to the
cardholder and ask
them to enter their
PIN. Once entered,
you should select the
Green Enter button.

Your A920 will now
start processing the
transaction.

Your A920 will then
confirm the outcome
of the transaction.

proceed with printing
the cardholder copy
of the receipt

prompts the
merchant to remove
the cardholder copy
of the receipt. Select
OK to proceed.

print the merchant's
copy of the receipt.
