PNI SafeHome PT225G is a gas detector
equipped with a high sensitivity semiconductor
sensor. In the event of a gas leak and the gas
concentration exceeds the preset limit, the
detector will trigger an audible and light alarm
and send a notification to the Tuya Smart
application.

Installation
Before deciding where to install the detector,
determine if the detected gas is heavier or
lighter than air. If the gas is heavier than air (eg
LPG), install the detector 0.3-1m away from
the floor. If the gas is lighter than air (eg natural
gas, methane gas), install the detector 0.3-1m
away from the ceiling. The distance from the gas
source must be less than 1.5m.
Control from the Tuya Smart app
1. Download and install the Tuya Smart
application on your smart phone. Search for the

app in the Google Play / App Store or scan the
QR code below:

2. After installation, open the application,
create an account and log in.
3. Enable WiFi (2.4GHz) and GPS Location on
your mobile phone.
4. To add the detector to the application, tap the
“+” icon in the upper right corner

5. In the application select from the left menu
Sensors - Gas detector (WiFi)
6. Select the WiFi network you want to connect
to and add the network password.
7. Plug in the detector. The green LED will flash
quickly. If it does not flash quickly, press the
Reset key for about 5 seconds until the green
LED flashes quickly.
8. Tap Next and select Blink quickly.
9. Wait for the application to identify the
detector.
10. After identifying your detector, press the
Done button.
11. After pairing, the LED (test button) lights
green (monitoring state). In the event of an
alarm, the LED turns red.

Detector testing
To test the alarm function, press the Test button
on the detector or in the application. The red
LED will flash and the built-in buzzer will sound.
Warning
If an alarm occurs, proceed as follows:
• Turn o the gas source immediately.
• Open windows or doors.
• Do not light bulbs or any source of fire or
sparks.
