FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE NOTE THAT BEFORE BEGINNING, YOU WILL NEED A SUITABLE JACK TO SUPPORT
THE ENGINE WHEN REMOVING OEM ENGINE BOLTS. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE,
HAVE FITTED BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. READ ALL STEPS BEFORE PROCEEDING.
Fairing removal
•Starting with the left-hand side, begin by removing the inner panel inside the front fairing, to do
this:
oUsing a Philips head, remove the screw shown in picture 1.
ousing a 2.5mm hex key, remove the upper panel bolt as shown in picture 2.
oRemove the 3 x fairing bolts on the lower section of the panel using a 2.5mm hex key as
shown in picture 3.
oRemove the panel by lifting this up and back as shown in picture 4.
•Next, remove the large central fairing panel, to do this;
oUsing a 4mm hex key, Remove the bolt arrowed in picture 5.
oUsing a 8mm Spanner or socket, remove the screw arrowed in picture 6.
oUsing a torx tool, remove the 3 x inner bolts of the radiator surround as shown in picture
7.
oRemove the plastic push pin from the front of the fairing under the headlight by loosening
the central pin and pulling the pin from the fairing as shown in picture 8.
oUsing a 4mm hex key, remove the 4 x fairing bolts shown in pictures 9 & 10, being careful
to support the panel as you do this.
oEnsuring no fasteners remain, carefully remove the panel from the bike, ensuring to
disconnect the locating tabs from underneath the headlight.
•Repeat this process for both sides of the motorcycle so both mid panels are removed as shown in
picture 11.
•The belly pan is supported by 4 x hex fairing bolts as shown in pictures 12 & 13, these should be
removed while supporting the belly pan from underneath.
•Ensuring to remove the rubber hoses secured through the belly pan as shown in picture 14 & 15,
carefully lower the belly pan from the bike and slide this clear of the underside of the bike.
LHS Crash protector Bracket installation
•With bodywork removed, place a suitable jack or engine stand underneath the engine to support
when removing engine bolts as shown in picture 16.
•Starting on the left-hand side of the bike, using your ratchet and 13mm socket, remove the engine
mount bolt arrowed in picture 17 (DO NOT REMOVE BOTH ENGINE BOLTS AT THE SAME
TIME).
•Replace the engine bolt as shown in picture 18 with the replacement stud bolt (H0081 –Item 3)
in the orientation shown in LHS assembly diagram on page 3, tighten to the recommended torque
using a torque wrench and 14mm socket shown in picture 19.
•Remove the upper frame bolt near the headstock as shown in picture 20.
•Offer either crash protector mount bracket (item 1) into position and loosely secure in place using
one M10 x 1.25 locking nut (item 7) over the exposed stud protruding from the replacement
engine bolt.
•Rotate the bracket so this lines up with the radiator support mount as shown in picture 21.

•Secure the upper bracket mount in place using the M6 x 35mm cap head bolt (item 11), M6
washer (item 12) and S1318 spacer (item 6) in the order shown in the LHS assembly diagram
on page 3. Tighten with a 5mm hex key as shown in picture 22.
•Now fully tighten the bracket nut using the recommended torque to secure the bracket in position.
RHS Crash protector Bracket installation
•Remove the Right-hand side engine bolt as before.
•install the remaining engine bolt (H0082 –Item 4) in place of the OEM bolt as shown in picture
23. And tighten to the correct torque.
•Follow the same process as above to fix the remaining right-hand side bracket (item 1), following
the RHS assembly diagram on page 3.
•When installing the right-hand bracket ensure to remove and relocate the clutch guide clip as
shown in picture 24 to minimise contact between the bracket and clutch line. If contact cannot be
avoided, wrap the provided spiral hose protector (item 14) to protect the cable outer from
rubbing.
•Check torque settings on all bolts before re-installing the fairings in the next stage.
Fairing re-installation
•Re-install the fairing as by reversing the steps followed to remove, ensuring that the rubber hoses
are relocated back into the belly pan and that the locator clips at the front of the mid panel line up
correctly with the nose cone.
•Note: Ensure that the fairing sits neatly onto the protrusion of the mount bracket of the rearward
fairing bolt. Note this area will be spaced outwards by the bracket to ensure clearance between the
crash protector bracket mount and fairing.
•Both sides should resemble picture 25, with the threaded boss visible through the opening of the
fairing
Crash protector installation
•For each side, take one M10 x 80mm hex bolt (item 8) and thread one M10 washer (item 9)
followed by a shake proof washer (item 10) so they sit against the head of the bolt as shown in
assembly diagrams.
•Thread one B0061 crash protector (item 5) over the bolt so the washers and head of the bolt sit
into the bore of the crash protector.
•Place one S1305 spacer (item 2) over each of the exposed end of the bolts.
•Fix the crash protector assembly to each side through the fairing hole and into the threaded mount
on the crash protector bracket referring to the relevant assembly diagram.
•Finally, tighten the crash protector bolt until you feel some compression from inside the protector
using 17mm socket and as shown in picture 26. PLEASE NOTE THE CRASH PROTECTOR MUST
BE POSITIONED WITH THE BIGGER END TOWARD FRONT OF BIKE AS SHOWN ON THE
CRASH PROTECTOR ORIENTATION DIAGRAM ON PAGE 4. Turn a little more so that you feel
the compression increase slightly, then apply a quarter turn. Tighten to 40Nm of torque (do not
exceed this figure, as damage can occur to the motorcycle and the bolt).
•If not already fitted, fit a bubble sticker into recess of one crash protector cap (item 17).
•Fit a crash protector cap (item 13)into each crash protector as shown in picture 27.
•Before riding, check both sides are secure, and the crash protectors cannot rotate.
•Check tightness of each side regularly.

suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable skill and
care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the
warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G shall at its option
either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified or used or
maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if the defect
arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing death and
personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the amounts paid
by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.
R&G RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if they
were purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods must be in
re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the gross value
exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No returns of
discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not refer to
faulty goods.

NOTICE DE MONTAGE
VEUILLEZ NOTER QU'AVANT DE COMMENCER, VOUS AUREZ BESOIN D'UN CRIC ADAPTÉ
POUR SOUTENIR LE MOTEUR LORS DU DÉMONTAGE DES BOULONS DE MOTEUR
D’ORIGINE. SI VOUS N'ÊTES PAS À L’AISE, FAITES FAIRE LE MONTAGE PAR UN
TECHNICIEN QUALIFIÉ. LISEZ TOUTES LES ÉTAPES AVANT DE PROCÉDER
Démontage du carénage
•En commençant du côté gauche, commencez par retirer le panneau intérieur à l'intérieur du
carénage avant, pour ce faire:
oÀ l'aide d'un tournevis cruciforme, retirez la vis illustrée sur la photo 1.
oÀ l'aide d'une clé hexagonale de 2,5 mm, retirez le boulon du panneau supérieur comme
indiqué sur la photo 2.
oRetirez les 3 boulons de carénage sur la partie inférieure du panneau à l'aide d'une clé
hexagonale de 2,5 mm comme indiqué sur la photo 3.
oRetirez le panneau en le soulevant comme indiqué sur la photo 4.
•Ensuite, retirez le grand panneau central de carénage, pour ce faire ;
oÀ l'aide d'une clé hexagonale de 4 mm, retirez le boulon indiqué sur la photo 5.
oÀ l'aide d'une clé ou d'une douille de 8 mm, retirez la vis indiquée par la flèche sur la photo
6.
oÀ l'aide d'une clé Torx, retirez les 3 boulons intérieurs du contour du radiateur comme
indiqué sur la photo 7.
oRetirez la goupille en plastique de l'avant du carénage sous le phare en desserrant la
goupille centrale et en tirant la goupille du carénage comme indiqué sur la photo 8.
oÀ l'aide d'une clé hexagonale de 4 mm, retirez les 4 boulons de carénage illustrés sur les
photos 9 et 10, en prenant soin de soutenir le panneau pendant cette operation.
oEn vous assurant qu'il ne reste aucune attache, retirez soigneusement le panneau de la
moto, en vous assurant de déconnecter les languettes de positionnement sous le phare.
•Répétez ce processus pour les deux côtés de la moto afin que les deux panneaux intermédiaires
soient retirés comme indiqué sur la photo 11.
•Le pan de ventre est soutenu par 4 x boulons de carénage hexagonaux comme indiqué sur les
photos 12 et 13, ceux-ci doivent être enlevés tout en soutenant le pan de ventre par le dessous.
•En vous assurant de retirer les flexibles en caoutchouc fixés à travers le ventre creux comme
indiqué sur les photos 14 et 15, abaissez soigneusement le ventre creux de la moto et faites-le
glisser hors du dessous de la moto.
Installation du support de protection crash côté gauche
•Une fois le carénage retiré, placez un cric approprié ou un support moteur sous le moteur pour le
soutenir lors du retrait des boulons du moteur, comme indiqué sur la photo 16.
•En commençant du côté gauche de la moto, à l'aide de votre clé à cliquet et de la douille de 13
mm, retirez le boulon de fixation du moteur indiqué par la flèche sur la photo 17 (NE RETIREZ PAS
LES DEUX BOULONS DU MOTEUR EN MÊME TEMPS).
•Remplacez le boulon du moteur comme indiqué sur la photo 18 par le boulon à goujon de rechange
(H0081 - Article 3) dans le sens indiqué sur le schéma de montage côté gauche à la page 3, serrez
au couple recommandé à l'aide d'une clé dynamométrique et d'une douille de 14 mm illustrées sur
la photo 19.

•Retirez le boulon du cadre supérieur près de la poupée comme indiqué sur la photo 20.
•Mettez en place soit le support de montage de la protection crash (article 1) et fixez-le sans serrer
en place à l'aide d'un écrou de blocage M10 x 1,25 (article 7) sur le goujon exposé dépassant du
boulon de remplacement du moteur.
•Faites pivoter le support de sorte qu'il s'aligne avec le support de radiateur comme indiqué sur la
photo 21.
•Fixez le support supérieur en place à l'aide du boulon à tête cylindrique M6 x 35 mm (article 11),
de la rondelle M6 (article 12) et de l'entretoise S1318 (article 6) dans l'ordre indiqué dans le
schéma d'assemblage côté gauche à la page 3. Serrez avec un clé hexagonale de 5 mm comme
indiqué sur la photo 22.
•Maintenant, serrez complètement l'écrou du support au couple recommandé pour fixer le support
en position.
Installation du support de protection crash côté droit
•Retirez le boulon du moteur côté droit comme précédemment.
•installer le boulon moteur restant (H0082 - article 4) à la place du boulon d'origine comme indiqué
sur la photo 23. Et serrer au couple correct.
•Suivez le même processus que ci-dessus pour fixer le support latéral droit restant (article 1), en
suivant le schéma d'assemblage côté droit à la page 3.
•Lors de l'installation du support droit, assurez-vous de retirer et de déplacer le clip de guidage
d'embrayage comme indiqué sur la photo 24 pour minimiser le contact entre le support et la ligne
d’embrayage. Si le contact ne peut être évité, enroulez la protection tuyau en spirale fournie
(article 14) pour protéger l'extérieur du câble du frottement.
•Vérifiez les réglages de couple sur tous les boulons avant de réinstaller les carénages à l'étape
suivante.
Remontage du carénage
•Réinstaller le carénage en inversant les étapes suivies pour le retirer, en s'assurant que les
flexibles en caoutchouc soient replacés dans le carénage et que les clips de positionnement à
l'avant du panneau central s'alignent correctement avec le cône de nez.
•Remarque: Assurez-vous que le carénage repose parfaitement sur la saillie du support de montage
du boulon de carénage arrière. Notez que cette zone sera espacée vers l'extérieur par le support
pour assurer un dégagement entre le support du support de protection crash et le carénage.
•Les deux côtés doivent ressembler à la photo 25, avec le bossage fileté visible à travers l'ouverture
du carénage.
Installation de la protection crash
•Pour chaque côté, prenez un boulon hexagonal M10 x 80 mm (article 8) et vissez une rondelle M10
(article 9) suivi d'une rondelle anti-vibration (article 10) afin qu'ils reposent contre la tête du
boulon comme indiqué dans les schémas d'assemblage.
•Thread one B0061 crash protector (article 5) over the bolt so the washers and head of the bolt sit
into the bore of the crash protector.
•Place one S1305 spacer (article 2) over each of the exposed end of the bolts.
•Fix the crash protector assembly to each side through the fairing hole and into the threaded mount
on the crash protector bracket referring to the relevant assembly diagram.

•Vissez une protection crash B0061 (article 5) sur le boulon de sorte que les rondelles et la tête du
boulon se trouvent dans l'alésage de la protection crash.
•Placer une entretoise S1305 (article 2) sur chacune des extrémités exposées des boulons.
•Fixez l'ensemble de protection contre les chocs de chaque côté à travers le trou de carénage et

•Enfin, serrez le boulon de protection crash jusqu'à ce que vous sentiez une certaine compression
de l'intérieur de la protection crash en utilisant une douille de 17 mm et comme indiqué sur la
photo 26. VEUILLEZ NOTER QUE LA PROTECTION CRASH DOIT ÊTRE POSITIONNÉE AVEC LA PLUS
GRANDE EXTRÉMITÉ VERS L'AVANT DE LA MOTO COMME ILLUSTRÉ SUR L'ORIENTATION DE LA
PROTECTION CRASH (SCHÉMA À LA PAGE 4). Tournez un peu plus pour sentir la compression
augmenter légèrement, puis appliquez un quart de tour. Serrez à un couple de 40 Nm (ne
dépassez pas cette valeur, car cela pourrait endommager la moto).
•S'il n'est pas déjà installé, placez un sticker dans l'encoche d'un capuchon de protection crash
(article 17).
•Montez un capuchon de protection crash (article 13) dans chaque protection comme indiqué sur la
photo 27.
•Avant de rouler, vérifiez que les deux côtés soient sécurisés et que les protections crash ne
puissent pas tourner.
•Vérifiez régulièrement le serrage de chaque côté.
