• While IG-GC2 can remove suspended viruses and other contaminants, it
cannot create a completely sterile environment. SHARP does not guarantee
its ability to prevent microbial infection.
• To enable stable emission of high-density Plasmacluster ions, the
Plasmacluster Ion Generating Unit mounted in IG-GC2 will need to be
replaced periodically*.
• The unit is designed for ordinary passenger cars with DC 12V batteries.
It cannot be used in vehicles with DC 24V batteries (buses, trucks, etc.).
* Replacement is required approximately every 6 years (17,500 hours) when operated
8 hours a day. IG-GC2 will stop operating after about 6 years and 6 months (19,000
hours) if the Plasmacluster Ion Generating Unit is not replaced.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions carefully before using this unit.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed,
including the following:
WARNING - To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or injury :
• Do not operate switches while driving. (Doing so could lead to accidents.)
• Do not install the unit in places where it could hamper visibility to the front,
driving operations, or in places where it could be dangerous to passengers.
(Doing so could lead to accidents or injury.)
• Do not put in places exposed to direct sunlight. (Doing so could cause warping
or malfunction.)
• This unit is designed exclusively for use in vehicles with 12V batteries. Do
not use it in other vehicles. Do not use the unit in large trucks, buses or other
vehicles with 24V batteries. (Doing so could lead to fire or electric shock.)
• Do not damage or modify the cord. Also, do not use the cord if it is damaged.
(The damaged section could cause short-circuiting and the cord could melt,
leading to fire.) If the cord is damaged, contact your store of purchase or
SHARP authorized service center.
• Do not pull on the cord when unplugging the car adapter or the Micro USB plug.
(Doing so could damage the cord, leading to fire or electric shock.)
• Do not plug in or unplug the car adapter or the Micro USB plug with wet hands.
(Doing so could cause electric shock.)
• When transporting, be careful not to drop the unit or subject it to shocks. (Doing
so could cause injury or damage.)
If the unit should drop or be damaged, contact your store of purchase or SHARP
authorized service center.
Continued usage of damaged unit could lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not modify the unit. Also, no one other than an authorized repairman should
take apart or repair the unit. (Doing so could lead to fire, electric shock or injury.)
Contact your store of purchase or SHARP authorized service center for repairs.
• Do not spill beverages or drop cigarette ashes, metal objects, easily burnable
objects, etc., into the unit through the air outlet or air intake. Be particularly
careful if there are small children in your family. If water or foreign substances
should get inside the unit, unplug the car adapter from the accessory socket.
(Continued usage could lead to fire or electric shock.) Contact your store of
purchase or SHARP authorized service center.
• Do not wipe the unit with oils, alcohol, benzene or thinners, or spray hairspray
or insecticides on the unit. If such substances should get on the unit, wipe them
off immediately. (Such substances could lead to cracking or electric shock or
could catch fire.)

• Do not place the unit in a place where it is exposed to oil smoke or moisture such
as kitchen counter or humidifying device. (Doing so could lead to electric shock.)
• Do not place the unit near heating equipment such as the outlet of hot-air type
heater. (Doing so could cause warping or malfunction.)
• Use the car adapter designed exclusively for this unit, and insert the car
adapter securely all the way in until it stops. (If the car adapter is not inserted
securely until it stops, it could heat up, deforming the accessory socket, and
this could lead to fire.)
• Be sure to unplug the car adapter from the accessory socket when cleaning.
(Failure to do so could cause electric shock or injury.)
• Be sure to unplug the car adapter from the accessory socket when not in use
for long periods of time. (Failure to do so could lead to electric shock or fire
caused by short-circuiting.)
• If the accessory socket is integrated into the ashtray, be sure that cigarettes
are completely extinguished before using the unit.
• When leaving the vehicle, unplug the car adapter and close the ashtray’s lid.
(Failure to do so could lead to fire caused by the smoldering cigarettes.)
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
CAUTIONS CONCERNING OPERATION :
• Do not touch the metal parts of the car adapter (or of the accessory socket).
(The metal parts of the car adapter could be hot directly after the car is stopped,
and could cause burns if touched.)
• Do not use the unit in external cup holders, on shaky or non-level surfaces or
in other unstable places. (The unit could fall, resulting in injury or damage.)
• Move the unit out of the car when using room fumigating type insecticides or
deodorizers. If not, the chemicals could get inside the unit and later be ejected
from the air outlet, possibly harming your health.
• If the unit risks falling out of the cup holder (when driving on rough roads,
over bumps, etc.), either slow down or remove the unit from the cup holder
beforehand. (Failure to do so could cause injury or damage to the unit.)
• Do not use items of silicone-based products* near the unit.
The fluororesin or silicone could get stuck inside the unit, preventing it from
producing Plasmacluster ions.
If this happens, remove the dust from the electrode section of the Plasmacluster
Ion Generating Unit. (See E-9)
*Hair care products (split end coatings, hair mousses, hair treatments, etc.),
cosmetics, antiperspirants, antistatic agents, waterproofing sprays, polishes, glass
cleaners, chemical-impregnated clothes, wax, etc.

Insert the car adapter into the accessory socket and connect the USB
plug to the car adapter.

• Be sure to remove any dirt from the
accessory socket. Failure to do so
could cause faultily contact or fire.
• The car adapter has 2 USB ports, one of which the Plasmacluster Ion
Generator (IG-GC2) uses and another to connect equipment of 1.5A
or lower.
• The car adapter (accessory) is for the Plasmacluster Ion Generator
“IG-GC2”.
It is possible to connect another equipment of 1.5A or lower while the
Plasmacluster Ion Generator is connected. However, in this case, the
normal operation of the additional equipment is not guaranteed.
• The car adapter and/or connecting section could be hot while in use
and/or right after use.

Cautions on wiring the car adapter
• Do not let the cord touch or get caught in the seat rails, shift lever or other
moving parts.
• Wire in such a way that the cord does not get in the way of the driver.
• Consider the movement of the seats (forward/backward, swiveling or reclining)
when wiring.
• Do not bend the cord extremely or compress it.
Cautions on installation
• Separate the main unit from electronic key of
vehicle by 30cm or more. Otherwise, it may
interfere with electronic wave of main unit and
the electronic key may not be recognized.
• Be sure to place in a stable location. (Do not put in a external cup holder or
other unstable place.)
• Do not obstruct the air inlet or outlet.
• Keep the unit away from the vehicle’s in-glass antenna. Failure to do so could
cause interference on the radio.
• If there should be interference on a TV or radio located in the same car, or if
an atomic clock in the car should not display the time properly, move the unit
away from the TV, radio, atomic clock, etc.
• If the unit is installed directly in front of the car climate control’s outlets, the unit
could get hot when the climate control is operating in the heating mode.
• The unit could get scratched by the vibrations of the vehicle, etc.
• It might be impossible to use for some types of cars.

If the vehicle's engine is turned off and the vehicle is stopped while the unit is
operating, the unit resumes operating in the same mode when the vehicle's
engine is started back up.

or the engine switch is turned OFF, pull out the car adapter to prevent having
a dead battery.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
FILTER Frequently as necessary
The filter must be cleaned regularly in order to maintain the ion density. Filter
soiling depends on the usage environment, so clean the filter frequently as
necessary. With frequent cleaning, Plasmacluster ions can be released efficiently.

Dismantle the filters while

with a vacuum cleaner.
• If the filter is dirty, simply
wash with water.
• Do not press the vacuum cleaner strongly against the filter,
or the filter could be damaged.
• If using synthetic kitchen detergent, rinse well to remove all traces
of the detergent. Also, be sure to dry the filter in the shade.
• Dry the product in a shaded area so that water drops do not
remain in the gap between the filter cover and the filter.

connected correctly. (See E-5)
The operation does not stop al-
though the engine of vehicle is

• If the main unit is operating even though the key
of the vehicle is pulled out or the engine switch is
turned OFF, pull out the car adapter out to prevent
having a dead battery. (See E-7)
The product does not operate in
conjunction with engine.
• In a vehicle where the power is supplied to the
accessory socket even if the engine of vehicle
is switched OFF, the engine interlocking function
cannot be used.
The Unit Replacing Light flashes
rapidly and the operation is stopped.
• The main unit is past its usage period. Replace
it with a new Plasmacluster Ion Generating Unit.
(See E-11)
• If the unit replacement period is exceeded, the
Unit Replacing Light (red) flashes rapidly and the
operation is stopped.
The Operation Lights “LOW ” and “MED”
(blue) and “TURBO” (purple) flash at the
same time and the operation is stopped.
• The Plasmacluster Ions are not generated.
Perform maintenance of the electrode section.

• If the Light flashes repeatedly, contact the store
of purchase or SHARP authorized service center.
• Is the Plasmacluster Ion Generating Unit installed
correctly? Pull out the unit and insert it again
and then press the operation button. (See E-11)
A discontinuous noise is heard.
A clicking or ticking sound comes
from the unit.
• Clicking or ticking sound may be audible when
the unit is generating ions. You may feel the
sound becomes louder or softer depending on
use environment or operation mode, however,
the effect of Plasmacluster Ion is not changed.
• Dust may block the filter. Clean the filter. (See E-8)

• Jangan lap unit dengan minyak, alkohol, benzena atau pencair, atau menyembur
penyembur rambut atau racun serangga pada unit. Jika bahan tersebut terkena
pada unit, lap dengan segera. (Bahan tersebut boleh menyebabkan keretakan
atau kejutan elektrik atau terbakar.)
• Jangan letakkan unit di tempat yang terdedah kepada asap minyak atau
lembap seperti kaunter dapur atau alat pelembap. (Perbuatan sedemikian boleh
menyebabkan kejutan elektrik.)
• Jangan letakkan unit berhampiran dengan peralatan pemanasan seperti
salur keluar pemanas jenis udara panas. (Perbuatan sedemikian boleh
menyebabkannya meleding atau malfungsi.)
• Gunakan penyesuai kereta yang direka bentuk khas untuk unit ini, dan
masukkan penyesuai kereta dengan kukuh sehingga tidak boleh dimasukkan
lagi. (Jika penyesuai kereta tidak dicucukkan dengan kukuh sehingga tidak
boleh dimasukkan lagi, penyesuai tersebut boleh menjadi panas, merosakkan
soket aksesori dan keadaan ini boleh mengakibatkan kebakaran.)
• Pastikan anda mencabut palam penyesuai kereta dari soket aksesori apabila
membersihkannya. (Kegagalan melakukan sedemikian boleh menyebabkan
kejutan elektrik atau kecederaan.)
• Pastikan anda mencabut palam penyesuai kereta dari soket aksesori apabila tidak
digunakan untuk jangka masa yang lama. (Kegagalan melakukan sedemikian
boleh menyebabkan kejutan elektrik atau kebakaran yang disebabkan oleh
litar pintas.)
• Jika soket aksesori disepadukan dengan bekas abu rokok, pastikan bahawa
rokok dipadamkan sepenuhnya sebelum menggunakan unit tersebut.
• Apabila meninggalkan kenderaan, cabut penyesuai kereta dan tutup penutup
abu rokok. (Kegagalan melakukan sedemikian boleh menyebabkan kebakaran
yang disebabkan oleh rokok yang masih menyala.)
• Perkakas ini tidak direka untuk digunakan oleh mereka (termasuk kanak-kanak)
yang cacat tubuh badan, cacat mental dan deria, atau kurang pengalaman
dan pengetahuan, kecuali jika mereka diberikan penyeliaan atau arahan
tentang penggunaan perkakas ini oleh orang yang bertanggungjawab atas
keselamatan mereka.
• Kanak-kanak hendaklah diawasi bagi memastikan mereka tidak bermain
dengan perkakas ini.

AMARAN BERKAITAN OPERASI :
• Jangan sentuh bahagian logam pada penyesuai kereta (atau pada soket
aksesori).
(Bahagian logam penyesuai kereta mungkin panas sejurus selepas kereta
berhenti, dan boleh menyebabkan lecur jika disentuh.)
• Jangan gunakan unit dalam pemegang cawan yang boleh didapati secara
komersial, pada permukaan bergoyang atau tidak rata atau di tempat lain yang
tidak stabil. (Unit boleh jatuh, menyebabkan kecederaan atau kerosakan.)
• Keluarkan unit dari kereta apabila menggunakan pewasapan bilik jenis racun
serangga atau penyahbau. Jika tidak, bahan kimia boleh masuk ke dalam
unit dan kemudiannya dikeluarkan dari salur keluar udara yang mungkin akan
menjejaskan kesihatan anda.
• Jika unit berisiko terkeluar dari pemegang cawan (semasa memandu di atas
jalan yang tidak rata, berbonggol, dll.), perlahankan kenderaan atau keluarkan
unit dari pemegang cawan terlebih dahulu. (Kegagalan melakukan sedemikian
boleh menyebabkan kecederaan atau kerosakan pada unit.)
• Jangan gunakan item daripada produk berasaskan silikon* berhampiran
dengan unit.
Bahan fluororesin atau silikon boleh tersumbat di dalam produk, menghalangnya
daripada mengeluarkan ion Plasmacluster.

Amaran mengenai pemasangan wayar penyesuai kereta
• Jangan biarkan kord menyentuh atau tersangkut pada rel tempat duduk, tuil
anjakan atau bahagian bergerak yang lain.
• Letakkan wayar pada kedudukan yang tidak mengganggu pemandu.
• Ambil kira pergerakan tempat duduk (ke depan/ke belakang, berputar atau
bersandar) ketika pemasangan wayar.
• Jangan bengkokkan kord dengan kuat atau mampatkannya.
Amaran mengenai pemasangan
• Pisahkan unit utama daripada kunci elektronik
kenderaan dengan jarak 30cm atau lebih. Jika
tidak, ia mungkin mengganggu gelombang
elektronik unit utama dan kunci elektronik mungkin
tidak boleh dikenal pasti.
• Pastikan anda letakkan di lokasi yang stabil. (Jangan letakkan dalam pemegang
cawan yang boleh didapati secara kormesial atau tempat lain yang tidak stabil.)
• Jangan halang salur masuk dan salur keluar udara.
• Pastikan unit jauh daripada antena kaca dalaman kenderaan. Kegagalan
melakukan sedemikian boleh menyebabkan gangguan pada radio.
• Jika terdapat gangguan pada TV atau radio yang terletak dalam kereta yang
sama, atau jika jam atom dalam kereta tidak memaparkan masa dengan betul,
alihkan unit jauh daripada TV, radio, jam atom, dll.
• Jika unit dipasang terus di hadapan salur keluar kawalan suhu kereta, unit akan
panas apabila kawalan suhu beroperasi dalam mod pemanasan.
• Unit boleh tercalar disebabkan oleh getaran kenderaan, dll.
• Ia mungkin tidak boleh digunakan oleh beberapa jenis kereta.
