1. Safety instructions
The described product was manufactured in
accordance with all generally acknowledged
regulations pertaining to technology, occu-
pational safety, and accident prevention.
However, dangers that can cause physical
injury to persons or damage to other mate-
rial assets might still occur during the use of
the product.

!These instructions must be read
and understood by all persons
who are involved with the installation,
operation, maintenance, and repair of
the product. These instructions must be
kept close to the equipment for future
reference.
Note that these installation instruc-
tions is an integral part of the product. It
must be handed over to the new opera-
tor of the product if the product is sold.
!In addition to the information pro-
vided in the installation instruc-
tions, all generally applicable regulations
on accident prevention and the environ-
ment must be observed.
!All products from SKF may be
used only for their intended pur-
pose as described in this brochure and in
any instructions.
!DANGER!
Working on products that have
not been disconnected from the power
supply can cause serious injury or death
to persons. Installation, maintenance,
and repair work may only be carried out
by qualified experts on products that
have been disconnected from the power
supply. The supply voltage must be
turned off before any product compo-
nents are opened. .
!DANGER!
Centralized lubrication systems
are under pressure when they are being
operated. Such systems must therefore
be depressurized before starting instal-
lation, maintenance, or repair work and
before making any changes to the
system.
The described product is for supplying cen-
tralized lubrication systems with lubricant
and is intended for use in centralized lubri-
cation systems. Other use or use beyond this
purpose is considered unintended.
Products of SKF must not be used in con-
junction with substances and mixtures clas-
sified as hazardous by the Annex I part 2-5
of the CLP regulation (EC 1272/2008), and
identified with hazard pictograms GHS01-
GHS06 and GHS08.
None of the products manufactured by
SKF can be used in conjunction with gases,
liquefied gases, pressurized gases in solution
and fluids with a vapor pressure exceeding
normal atmospheric pressure (1013 mbars)
by more than 0.5 bar at their maximum per-
missible temperature.
Unless otherwise noted, products of SKF
must not be used in conjunction with explo-
sive atmospheres according to the ATEX-Di-
rective 2014/34/EU.
1.2 Authorized personnel
The products described in the installation in-
structions may only be installed, operated,
maintained, and repaired by qualified ex-
perts. Qualified experts are persons who
have been trained, instructed, and familiar-
ized with the end product into which the de-
scribed product is installed.
These persons are considered capable of
such tasks due to their education, training,
and experience with valid standards, condi-
tions, accident prevention regulations in ef-
fect, and installation conditions.They should
be able to carry out the required tasks and to
recognize – and thus avoid – any dangers
that might otherwise occur.
A definition of what constitutes a qualified
person and who are unqualified persons are
stipulated in DIN VDE 0105 and IEC 364.
1.3 Danger relating to electric
current
The electrical connection for the described
product may only be established by qualified,
instructed persons who have been autho-
rized by the operator or owner to carry out
this task. If the product is improperly con-
nected, substantial material or personal
damage my be the consequence.

2. Lubricants
2.1 General
!All SKF products must only be
used for their intended purpose
and in accordance with the specifications
of the installation instructions for the
product in question.
The intended use of this product is for the
centralized lubrication/lubrication of bear-
ings and wear points with lubricants. All
physical limitations of use stipulated in the
documentation of the product such as the
owner’s manual, technical drawings and cat-
alogs must be observed.
More specifically, we call your attention to
the fact that substances and mixtures classi-
fied as hazardous by the Annex I part 2-5 of
the CLP regulation (EC 1272/2008), and
identified with hazard pictograms GHS01-
GHS06 and GHS08, can only be used to feed
the SKF centralized lubrication systems,
transported or distributed by these systems
after consultation with SKF and obtaining
written permission.
All products manufactured by SKF are not
approved for use in conjunction with gases,
liquefied gases, pressurized gases in solution
and fluids with a vapor pressure exceeding
normal atmospheric pressure (1013 mbars)
by more than 0,5 bar at their maximum per-
missible temperature.
Should there be a need to use the product
to convey media other than lubricants or
hazardous substances, this must be dis-
cussed with SKF first and the company must
give express written permission.
In the opinion of SKF, lubricants constitute
a design element that must be considered
when selecting components and designing
centralized lubrication systems. The lubrica-
tion properties of the lubricants in question
must be considered.
2.2 Selection of lubricants
!You must observe the machinery
manufacturer's information on
the lubricants to be used in the
machinery.
!DANGER!
The manufacturer of the bearing
or machinery to be lubricated will specify
the lubricant requirements for each
point to be lubricated.You must make
sure that the required quantity of lubri-
cant is provided to the relevant lubricat-
ing point. If a lubricating point is insuf-
ficiently lubricated, the bearing may
become damaged or jammed.
While the machinery/bearing manufacturer
usually specifies lubricants, it is the owner/
operator (or maintenance person) who must
finally select the appropriate lubricant, with
the help of the lubricant supplier. When se-
lecting a lubricant, the type of bearing/wear
point, the stresses and strains to be expected
during operation, and anticipated ambient
conditions must be taken into account. All fi-
nancial/economic aspects must also be
considered.
!If required, SKF can help custom-
ers to select suitable components
for the conveyance of the selected lubri-
cant and to plan and design their cen-
tralized lubrication system.
If you have further questions, you can
contact SKF.
We can test lubricants in our own labora-
tory to establish their suitability for convey-
ance (e.g. 'oil separation' behavior) in cen-
tralized lubrication systems.
You can request an overview of lubricant
tests offered by SKF from our Service Center.
2.3 Approved lubricants
!DANGER!
Only lubricants that have been
approved by SKF for use with the prod-
uct may be used. Unsuitable lubricants
can cause product malfunctions and
damage to property.
DANGER!
Different lubricants must not be mixed
together. Doing so can cause damage
and require extensive cleaning of the
products/centralized lubrication system.
To prevent confusion, we recommend
that you attach information indicating
the lubricant to be used on the lubricant
reservoir.
The described product can be operated with
lubricants that comply with the specifications
in the technical data.
Note that some lubricants may have prop-
erties that lie within the permitted limit val-
ues and yet not be suitable for use in cen-
tralized lubrication systems for other
reasons. For example, some synthetic lubri-
cants are not compatible with elastomers.

3 Construction and
operation
3.1 General
The PVP lubrication pump is a pneumatic
driven pump used to suck lubricant into a
drum and then discharge it into the lubrica-
tion circuit.The pump increases the energy
of the transported lubricant (by increasing
pressure) in order to overcome the resis-
tance to its flow (loss of pressure) in the
pipelines, the components (filters, valves,
etc.) and the distributors.
3.2 Construction
The PVP pump can be mounted on 50 and
180 kg grease drums or 50 and 200 l oil
drums. The pump air inlet pressure is be-
tween a minimum of 3 bar and a maximum
of 8 bar. The pressure ratio is 1/45 and the
safety valve is set to 300 bar. Its maximum
flow rate is 3 cm3/stroke with a maximal fre-
quency of 6 strokes/minute.
The pump is fitted on a cover in order to be
directly mounted on the lubricant drum. This
cover is fitted with three fixing screws to se-
cure it to the drum.
Two handles on the cover and a lifting eye
make it easier to handle the pump when
changing the drum.
The pump body is mounted on a tube
which will be directly immersed into the lu-
bricant drum. This tube penetrates through
the cover. A dummy plug allows adjusting the
tube height.
A manometer, a safety valve and a filter
are placed at the pump outlet to control the
output pressure, to ensure that the lubrica-
tion system is safe and the lubricant clean
(filtration rating 500 µm).
Pump for oil and fluid grease (NLGI
grades 0, 00 and 000)
The oil and fluid grease pump has a float
level switch to monitor the lubricant minimal
level in the drum.
Pump for grease (NLGI grades 1 and 2)
The grease pump is equipped with a fol-
lower plate to prevent air from entering the
grease and keep the level constant. This fol-
lower plate is connected via a cable to an in-
ductive proximity sensor mounted on the
cover to check the minimum lubricant level
in the drum.
2.4 Lubricants and the
environment
!DANGER!
Lubricants can contaminate the
ground and watercourses. Lubricants
must be used and disposed of in compli-
ance with the rules. Instructions and lo-
cal regulations must be observed when
handling lubricants.
Note that lubricants are harmful to the envi-
ronment and flammable; their transporta-
tion, storage, and processing are subject to
special precautionary measures. For specifi-
cations on transportation, storage, process-
ing, and dangers to the use and the environ-
ment for the lubricant, refer to the material
safety data sheet provided by or available
from the lubricant manufacturer. You can ask
the manufacturer of the lubricant for the
material safety data sheet.
2.5 Danger relating to
lubricants
!DANGER!
Centralised lubrication systems
must be absolutely leak-free. Leaking
centralized lubrication systems can
cause a slip hazard. When performing
installation, maintenance, and repairs
test the centralized lubrication system
for leaks. Leaky parts of the centralized
lubrication system or components of the
lubrication equipment have to be sealed
immediately.
Leaking centralized lubrication systems or
components of the lubrication equipment
are a source of danger in relation to slip haz-
ard and the risk of injury. These dangers can
cause physical injury to persons or damage
to other material assets.
Refer to safety precautions in the lubricant
manufacturer's material safety data sheet.
Lubricants are hazardous substance. It is
essential to respect any safety instructions
given in the lubricant safety data sheet. You
can ask the manufacturer of the lubricant for
the material safety data sheet.

3.3 Operation
When the user opens the pneumatic net-
work, the pump is supplied with air (feed
pressure between 3 and 8 bar maximum).
Through a 5/2 valve, the air drives the dual-
stroke pump cylinder which controls the
pump piston. In a first phase the pump sucks
the lubricant at the base of the suction tube,
and in a second phase it discharges the lu-
bricant sucked towards the outlet. The lubri-
cant then gets through a filter to ensure
cleanliness and is sent to the lubrication line.
A safety valve placed at the pump outlet
helps preventing the risk of an excessive
pressure that could damage the lubrication
system. A manometer also allows checking
the lubricant pressure at the pump outlet.
3.3.1 Lubricant level control
The pump is equipped with a device for con-
trolling the minimum lubricant level. This
device is not the same as the lubricant is oil,
fluid grease or grease.
3.3.1.1 Minimum oil or fluid grease level
The pump has a float level switch to monitor
the lubricant minimal level in the drum.
When the amount of lubricant in the drum
decreases and reaches the minimum level,
the level switch issues an failure signal.
3.3.1.2 Minimum grease level
The pump is equipped with an inductive
proximity sensor, mounted on the cover and
connected via a cable to the follower plate of
the pump. When the lubricant level decreas-
es in the drum, the follower plate drops
along the suction tube. When it reaches the
minimum lubricant level, the proximity sen-
sor issues an error signal.
3.3.2 Discharge volume adjustment
The pump discharge volume is adjusted in
the suction tube. SKF recommends adjusting
the discharge volume before immersing the
suction tube into the lubricant drum. To ad-
just the discharge volume, it is sufficient to
remove or refit the plug(s) at the suction in-
lets.

3.4 Versions
SKF offers different models of PVP pneu-
matic pumps. It is also possible to request
special models. Table 1 shows the standard
models with the main technical data and
some dimensions (†fig. 1 et 2).
Technical data, information on pneumatic,
electric and hydraulic connections as well as
on the proper operation of the pump are giv-
en in the technical documentation of the
pump.

4. Installation
instructions
The pneumatic pump described in this docu-
ment may only be installed, operated, main-
tained, and repaired by qualified personnel.
Qualified personnel are persons who have
been trained, instructed, and familiarised by
the user of the end product into which the
pump is installed. These persons are consid-
ered capable of such tasks due to their edu-
cation, training, and experience with valid
standards, conditions, accident prevention
regulations in effect, and installation condi-
tions. They should be able to carry out the
required tasks and to recognize – and thus
avoid – any dangers that might otherwise
occur.
A definition of what constitutes a qualified
person and who are unqualified persons are
stipulated in DIN VDE 0105 and IEC 364.
Before installing/positioning the lubrica-
tion pump, remove the packaging material
and any transportation safety devices such
as sealing plugs. Retain the packaging mate-
rial until you are sure that there are no deliv-
ery discrepancies that need to be resolved.
Country-specific accident prevention reg-
ulations and the operating and maintenance
instructions for the operator must be ob-
served when carrying out all installation
work on machines.
4.1 Positioning and
installation
The pump must be mounted in a way that
protects it from humidity and vibrations. It
should also be easily accessible so that all
other installation work can be carried out
without hindrance. Ensure that there is suf-
ficient circulating air to prevent the pump
from overheating. For information on the
maximum admissible ambient temperature,
see the technical data section.
4.2 Pump setting
SKF recommends adjusting the pump dis-
charge volume before setting the pump
(†§ 6.2.1 Discharge volume adjustment).
The discharge volume is set by the factory at
3cm3/cycle
You must have a lifting device capable of
lifting a minimum weight of 20 kg and driv-
ing the pump on top of the lubricant drum.
The pump is equipped with a 20 mm diam-
eter lifting eye.
• Measure the height of the lubricant drum
• adjust the position of the cover on the
suction tube according to the drum height
• attach the pump to the lifting device
• lift and place the pump above the lubri-
cant drum whose cover was previously
removed
• let the pump sink into the drum. In the
case of a pump with a follower plate, re-
member from the beginning to flatten the
follower plate well against the grease
• let the pump move completely down
• tighten the pump cover on the drum
• remove the lifting device
4.3 Pneumatic connection
The compressed air line must be connected
to the pump in such a way that once mount-
ed, no force is applied to the pump (no pres-
sure on the connection).
It is important to use pipes that are suf-
ficiently long so that maintenance, repairs
and replacement of the drum can be carried
out at a later time without hindrance.

Before connecting the pump to
the compressed air feed ensure that the
main air valve is closed.
!DANGER!
The maximum primary air pres-
sure indicated for the operation of the
pneumatic pump must not be exceeded.
The compressed air quality must comply
with purity class 5 defined by DIN ISO
8573-1:
–Maximum particle size: 40 µm
–Maximum particle density: 10 mg/m3
–Dew point: 7 °C
–Maximum water content : 7.800 mg/m3
–Maximum residual oil content:
25 mg/m3
The air connection (×2) (†pos. A fig. 3) is
made with two hoses fitted with a quick-re-
lease coupling G 3/8.

4.4 Electric connection
!DANGER!
Only qualified personnel with spe-
cific training and authorisation from the
user may hook up the electrical connec-
tions on the pump. The connection con-
ditions and the local regulations (e.g.
DIN, VDE) must be scrupulously respect-
ed. If devices are improperly connected,
substantial material or personal damage
my be the consequence.
4.4.1 Oil and fluid grease level check
The oil or fluid grease level contact is a dry
contact.The connection is carried out with
M12 round connectors. The user connects
both cables with a section of 0,75 mm2max
(†fig. 4).
4.4.2 Grease level check
The grease level contact is an inductive
proximity sensor. The connection is carried
out with M12 round connectors. The user
connects both cables with a section of
0,75 mm2max on the connector supplied
separately (†fig. 5).
4.5 Hydraulic connection
The pressurised lubricant line must be con-
nected to the pump in such a way that once
mounted, no force is applied to the pump (no
pressure on the connection).
It is important to use pipes that are suf-
ficiently long so that maintenance, repairs
and replacement of the drum can be carried
out at a later time without hindrance.

!Caution!
The connectors and accessories
used to connect the lubricant line must
be compatible with the pump's maxi-
mum service pressure. If this is not the
case, you must install a safety valve to
protect the line against unacceptable
high pressures.
4.6 Installing lubricant lines
When installing primary and secondary lu-
bricant lines, it is important to respect the
following instructions to ensure that the en-
tire centralized lubrication system works
correctly.
The main lubricant line must be sized to
match the discharge volume and the maxi-
mum output pressure of the lubrication unit
used. The main lubricant line connected to
the output of the lubrication unit should be
rising if possible, and the highest point must
allow draining the line system.
Pipes and hoses in use, as well as isolation
valves, solenoid valves and fittings shall be
compatible with the maximum operating
pressure of the lubrication unit with the per-
missible temperatures and lubricants to be
conveyed. In addition, the lubrication net-
work must be secure with a safety valve
against unacceptable overpressure.
All components of the lubrication network
such as tubes, hoses, isolation valves, dis-
tributors, connections etc. must be properly
cleaned before installation. No seal should
be protruding within the lubrication network,
as this could hinder the lubricant flow and
pollute the network.
Lubricant lines must be installed so that
no air bubbles can be generated in the net-
work. Avoid section changes, from small to
larger sections and lubricant lines in the di-
rection of the lubricant flow. Sections chang-
es should be smooth.
Ensure that the lubricant flow in the lines
is not blocked by too tight bends, angle
valves and check valves. If changes must oc-
cur in line sections, they must be smooth.
Abrupt direction changes should be avoided
if possible.
!Caution!
Lines must be absolutely leak-
free. Lubricants can pollute the soil and
water. Lubricants must be used and dis-
posed of in compliance with the rules.
Instructions and local regulations must
be observed when handling lubricants.

!DANGER!
Centralised lubrication systems
must be absolutely leak-free. Lubricant
leakage is a source of danger. There is a
risk of falling and injury. During installa-
tion, activation, maintenance and repair
the centralized lubrication systems must
be checked for lubricant leaks. Leaking
points must be immediately plugged.
The lubricant leaking from a centralized
lubrication system is a major source of dan-
ger. These dangers can cause physical injury
to persons or damage to other material
assets.
Refer to safety precautions in the lubricant
manufacturer's material safety data sheet.
The product safety data sheet for a lubri-
cant can be obtained from the lubricant
manufacturer.

5. Transport, delivery

5.1 Transport
SKF products are packaged in accordance
with the regulations of the recipient country
and in accordance with DIN ISO 9001. Our
products must be transported with care.
Products must be protected against me-
chanical influences such as impacts. Trans-
port packaging must be labelled with the in-
formation 'Do not drop!'.
There are no restrictions relating to land, air,
or sea transportation.
5.2 Delivery
Following receipt of the shipment, the prod-
uct or products must be checked for damage
and the shipping documents should be used
to make sure that the delivery is complete.
Keep the packaging material until any and all
problems have been clarified.
5.3 Storage
The following conditions apply to the storage
of SKF products.
5.3.1 Storage of lubrication units
• Ambient conditions: dry, dust-free envi-
ronment; storage in well-ventilated, dry
area
• Storage time: 24 months max.
• Permitted air humidity: < 65%
• Warehouse temperature: 10 – 40 °C
• Light: direct sunlight/UV radiation must
be avoided; nearby sources of heat must
be screened
5.3.2 Storage of electronic and electrical
devices
• Ambient conditions: dry, dust-free envi-
ronment; storage in well-ventilated, dry
area
• Storage time: 24 months max.
!The product must not be tipped
up or dropped.
• Permitted air humidity: < 65%
• Warehouse temperature: 10 – 40 °C
• Light: direct sunlight/UV radiation must
be avoided; nearby sources of heat must
be screened
5.3.3 Storage – general information
• Ensure that no dust gets into stored prod-
ucts by wrapping them in plastic film
• Store products on racks or pallets to pro-
tect them from damp floors
• Before placing products into storage, pro-
tect uncoated metal surfaces - and drive
parts and mount surfaces in particular -
from corrosion using long-term corrosion
protection.

6. Activation
6.1 General
The pneumatic pump described, mounted
on the lubricant drum operates automati-
cally. However it is recommended that you
regularly verify that the lubricant is correctly
transported along the lines.
The level of lubricant in the drum must be
checked visually at regular intervals. When
the lubricant level is at a minimum, the drum
must be replaced, following the instructions
in the section Pump positioning.
!Always respect the equipment
manufacturer's recommendations
concerning which lubricant to use.
!CAUTION!
Only use a clean lubricant. Soiled
lubricants can cause major defects in the
system.
!CAUTION!
Do not mix different lubricants to-
gether, as this may cause damage and
require the full cleaning of the pump/
centralized lubrication system. To pre-
vent any risk of error, it is recommended
to clearly identify the lubricant used on
the reservoir.
6.2. Activation
Check that all pneumatic and hydraulic con-
nections are mounted and tightened before
activating the lubrication pump.
Before activating the pump, you must adjust
the discharge volume, then drain the pump.
6.2.1 Discharge volume adjustment
The discharge volume of the lubrication
pump is adjusted as the pump positioned at
the base of the tube (†pos. 6 fig. 1 and 2).
The adjustment must be carried out before
positioning the pump in the lubricant drum.
Three different discharge volumes are avail-
able: 1, 2 and 3 cm3/cycle. When delivered,
the pump is set to its maximum discharge
volume of 3 cm3/cycle.
Discharge volume at 3cm3/cycle
Suction is carried out at the upper inlet
(†fig. 6). The other two inlets are blocked
by a screw plug and a seal. In case of an oil
or fluid grease pump, the suction inlet is
equipped with a suction pipe.
Discharge volume at 2cm3/cycle
In order to obtain this discharge volume, un-
screw and remove the plug from the inter-
mediate suction inlet (†fig. 7). Two inlets
are open now. In case of an oil or fluid grease
pump, the suction tube must be mounted on
the intermediate inlet.
Discharge volume at 1cm3/cycle
In order to obtain this discharge volume, un-
screw and remove the plug from the lower
suction inlet (†fig. 8). Three inlets are open
now. In case of an oil or fluid grease pump,
the suction tube must be mounted on the
lower inlet.
6.2.2 Draining the pump
The lubricant can only be transported if it is
completely free from air. It is therefore im-
portant to drain the pump before connecting
it to the lubrication circuit.
• Disconnect the pump from the lubrication
circuit at the connection outlet
(†pos. A fig. 9) and open the drain plug
(†pos. B fig. 9)
• Actuate the pump until lubricant is
pumped out without any air bubbles.
• Stop the pump and close the drain plug
again.
• Pre-fill the line leading to the lubrication
point with lubricant.
• Connect the line to the pump outlet.
• You can restart the pump.
The lubricant must be transported without
air bubbles. Air in the lubricant may affect
the operation of the device and disrupt the
lubricant transmission. This can lead to un-
der-lubrication and consequently damage
and cause bearing failure.

6.2.3 Replacing the drum
• Turn off the pump. For this you must re-
move the two quick connections of the
pneumatic feed.
• Loosen the cover tightening screws.
• Use a mechanical lifting system if avail-
able. The pump is equipped with a lifting
eye.
• If you remove the pump manually, make
sure to place it in a clean place to avoid
contamination.
• SKF recommends to clean the pump cover
before removing it from the drum to mini-
mize the impact of environmental
pollution.
• Lift the pump and remove it from the
drum
• Remove the consumed drum and install a
new lubricant drum
• Properly position the pump with respect
to the drum. The tube must be placed in
the middle. In case of a grease drum you
can use the follower plate
• Flatten the follower plate against the
grease to prevent the formation of air
bubbles (grease drum)
• Let the pump sink into the drum. The
pump must abut against the bottom of the
drum.
• Adjust the cover height with the dummy
plug if necessary
• Tighten the cover
When the new drum is in place you can
check if the pump is functioning correctly. To
do so:
• Open the pump drain plug
(†pos. B fig. 9)
• Actuate the pump until lubricant is
pumped out.
• Stop the pump and close the drain plug
6.2.4 Adjusting the oil and fluid grease
level contact height
It is possible to adjust the control height for
the minimum level on the level contact for
oils and fluid greases. To do so, it is sufficient
to loosen the clamping nut and remove the
level contact pipe.
!Do not touch the float stops under
any circumstances.

7. Shutdown
7.1 Temporary shutdown
You can temporarily shut down the de-
scribed product by disconnecting the electri-
cal, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic supply con-
nections. For more information, see the
section 'General information' in this installa-
tion instructions.
If you wish to shut down the product tem-
porarily, refer also to the instructions in the
section 'Transport, delivery, and storage' of
this manual.
When placing the product back into op-
eration, refer to the information in the sec-
tions 'Installation' and 'Commissioning’ of
this manual.
7.2 Permanent shutdown
All country specific legal guidelines and leg-
islation on the disposal of contaminated
equipment must be observed when shutting
down the product for the final time.
The system can also be taken back by SKF
for disposal if the costs are covered.
!Caution!
Lubricants can contaminate the
ground and watercourses. Lubricants
must be used and disposed of in compli-
ance with the rules. Instructions and lo-
cal regulations must be observed when
handling lubricants.
SKF products are low-maintenance. How-
ever, to ensure that they function properly
and to avoid risks right from the startup, all
joints and connections should be checked to
make sure that they are properly fitted.
If necessary, you can clean the pump us-
ing gentle, material-appropriate cleaning
agents (no alkalis, no soap). For safety rea-
sons, the pump should be disconnected from
the compressed air supply before cleaning.
During cleaning, it is important to make
sure that no cleaning agent enters the inside
of the pump.
If the system is operated normally with in-
tercompatible lubricants, the inside of the
product does not need to be cleaned.
If you accidentally fill the pump with an in-
correct or contaminated lubricant, the inside
of the product does have to be cleaned. If

9. Failures
Table 2 gives an overview of possible mal-
functions and their causes. If you are unable
to rectify the malfunction, please contact
SKF Service Center.
